“Oh my god, what a week! I rarely had time to talk with you!” I slumped to the couch next to Hongki. It is Friday. The day that I will get killed by his fans; literally.
“Nervous?” He asked. “Don’t tell me you didn’t sleep last night.”
“Not only last night. I couldn’t sleep for the past few days. I didn’t have time to rest.” I replied.
“Hey, you’ll get sick if you didn’t rest.” He said cupping my face. “You have dark circles even. You need to have a serious make-up.” Hongki smirked.
“Yah!” I slapped his hand away. The dorm is unbearably silent. I scanned the place.
“Where are the others?”
“Practicing for our new album.”
“Omo! New album?” I jumped in enthusiasm.
“Tsk. She still can’t get over it. Yah! You’re with us all the time. Can’t you stop fangirling?” Hongki mocked.
I rolled my eyes.
“It’s our final album. We’re going to disband.”
My heart skipped a beat and I felt numb. “D-disband?” Hongki nodded.
“It’s been fourteen years and we had enough. Plus we can’t go on with my condition.” I felt tears covering my eyes.
“Hey, don’t cry. This is something we all agreed. It was hard for us too. But we can’t keep on going.”
I sighed. “I know. But isn’t this too soon?”
“No. It’s the perfect time. We should do it before I get any worse.”
I sighed again.
“It’s for the best.” He whispered wiping my tears away. “Go wash your face. Cordi noona will help you with the make-up. We have to go now.”
