It was that time of the year again; Christmas carols filled the air, joy and happiness were floating above the town.

 

Infinite’s dorm was quiet; the boys had left in a well-earned vacation, where they could be just Sungyeol, Myungsoo, Sungjong, Hoya, Dongwoo, Woohyun and Sungkyu, and not INFINITE. Where they could sleep in, without noisy managers waking them up for an early schedule, where they could wear whatever the hell they liked (does the fact that Dongwoo liked going around count?) and play video games all day, maybe watching some crappy movies and spending time with their families.

 

They had all dreamed about this break for so long; they missed their parents and their neighborhood, but, above all, they missed the silence. The anonymity. So, for Woohyun and Sungkyu, staying in their dorm on Christmas Eve wasn’t exactly what they had waited for.

 

“Ahhh, this is so annoying!” Shouted Woohyun on top of his lungs, “Why did our families have to leave to, what was it, Kalalala something!”

 

“It’s the Kamalame Cay beach, Woohyun,” Sungkyu sighed.

 

“Whatever, it’s not like I care anyway!” the younger punched Sungjong’s teddy bear.

 

“Mom, Dad, look at me, not giving a flipping about the fact that you abandoned your favourite son!!” he yelled and planted his face on the couch, groaning. Sungkyu sighed and went into his room, while Woohyun was wriggling on the couch, whining.

 

“Well, at least let’s be happy that we are together”, said Sungkyu with a shy smile, handing Woohyun a nicely wrapped present. The said guy took it and put it on the couch, before storming into his room and coming out a few seconds later with a black box in his hands.

 

“Merry Christmas!” they both said and smiled. They sat down to unwrap the presents, but a loud bang in the front door stopped them. Sungkyu and Woohyun looked at each other and shrugged.

 

“Probably some kids” Sungkyu said. Suddenly, the lights started flickering, and loud banging could be heard throughout the dorm. They looked at each other and Woohyun laughed nervously:

 

“Y-yeah...kids..Can kids do that?”

 

“Don’t underestimate them, Woohyun. Kids are scary. Wanna watch a movie?”

 

They decided on an old film, because they had nothing better to do anyway. Sungkyu soon fell asleep in the younger’s embrace, while Woohyun was still watching the movie, munching on a bar of chocolate.

 

Outside, the wind started blowing angrily. The dorm became cold and dark. Woohyun sat up and looked around with a feeling of uncertainty. He checked all the windows and saw that the large one from the living room was opened. “Maybe Sungkyu hyung left it like this”, he shrugged. He closed it and went into the kitchen to grab something to eat.

 

Now, Woohyun was not a scaredy cat. Unlike Dongwoo, he could watch a horror film without screaming and crying. But there were some times when he could feel that something is going awfully wrong, and this was one of those times. He had the feeling that he was being watched; he turned around and glanced around the room, but nobody was there.

 

“Sungkyu?” he said, “this is not funny, stop following me.”

Silence.

 

Woohyun walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.

“Sungkyu, wha-“

 

The older was not there. Woohyun scratched the back of his head and felt chills going down his spine. “I am going to kick hyung’s when I find him,” he muttered. He was about to go in the bathroom to have a shower when he heard footsteps coming from Sungkyu’s room. “You can’t hide forever, Sungkyu” he chuckled and opened the door to the older’s room, but nobody was there.

 

“Hm, I thought I closed all the windows” he said with a low voice and went inside. Just then, the door slammed and locked itself, making Woohyun jump and turn around in horror.

 

“Hyung, this is going too far, cut the crap!” he yelled, annoyed.

 

“Are you that sure I’m Sungkyu?” a hoarse voice answered him. “I would run if I were you”, the voice seemed amused now.

 

“Okay, so there’s a psycho in our dorm”, Woohyun thought and jumped inside the large wardrobe Sungkyu had in his room.

 

“AAACCCCCCCHHHHHHHH WHO ARE YOU WHY ARE YOU STALKING ME OMG I DON’T WANA DIE I’M TOO YOUNG TO DIE PLEASE I WILL GIVE YOU MONEY” Woohyun yelled as he felt a pair of hands pull him closer.

 

“-God, Woohyun, stop being so paranoid.”

 

“Sungkyu?!”

 

“Who else?” Sungkyu laughed.

 

“B-but how come you’re in here and why were you following me and what the hell is happening?!” Woohyun stuttered, clearly afraid.

 

“Stop yelling, geez. I don’t know what’s happening. I was sleeping and next thing I knew, somebody was touching me and I woke up but I was alone in the room. I went to find you but you were nowhere to be seen and I kept feeling somebody was watching me, so I hid in here” Sungkyu whispered.

 

“So you’re telling me that there’s an intruder in our dorm that probably wants to scare the living hell out of us?” Woohyun said.

 

“Basically, yeah”

 

A few seconds later, someone started banging in the wardrobe’s door and scratching it. Raspy breaths and low chuckles could be heard, and Woohyun and Sungkyu froze. They looked at each other with wide eyes and Sungkyu took Woohyun’s cold hands and squeezed them. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes, and when they couldn’t hear any noises, they opened the door. Well, tried to. Whoever was in their house had locked them in.

 

“,” Sungkyu cursed and banged his head on the wardrobe’s side. “We’re trapped in here.”

 

“Yeah, I think I figured that out on my own,” Woohyun retorted, looking for a way to open the door. “Why did you have to buy a closet that can be locked?”

 

Sungkyu laughed and glared at the younger:

 

“Should I remind you that you tend to steal my stuff?”

 

That effectively shut Woohyun’s mouth for a good couple of minutes, while Sungkyu was kicking the door with his left leg.

 

“Stop struggling, little lambs, you’re not going anywhere” they heard the same voice whispering painfully close to them. This time, Woohyun jumped into Sungkyu’s arms and the older could feel that he was trembling. He hugged him, trying to warm him up.

 

“Try to move a little, Woohyun, my legs are numb”

 

“Well sorry but this isn’t exactly the most spacious place” Woohyun answered, trying to make room for the older.

 

The wriggled and moved until they found a position in which they could at least breathe properly. The position, however, was kind of awkward. Sungkyu had his back glued to the inside of the closet, while Woohyun had his chest pressed against Sungkyu’s. They could feel each other’s breath on their necks and the rushed heartbeats. Woohyun’s eyes traveled from Sungkyu’s lips to a vein on his pale neck. He smiled and lifted his right hand to brush a strand of hair from the other’s forehead. Sungkyu was looking at him with a mix of curiosity and...interest? His breathing became irregular as Woohyun was leaning closer and closer, until their lips met. That small, feathery touch had both of them shivering and gripping each other’s clothes, like their life was depending on it. Sungkyu tilted his head and moved his lips agonizingly slow. Oh, how he loved the feeling of Woohyun kissing him, how he loved their scents mixing with each other and their trembling hands holding onto each other for support and reassurance! He tangled his fingers in the younger’s chocolate hair and gently pulled so he broke the kiss. His lips were shiny and swallowed, his eyes filled with love and lust.

 

“I guess the fact that the psycho locked us in here wasn’t so bad” he said, chuckling. Woohyun smiled and buried his head in the crook of Sungkyu’s neck, taking a deep breath and letting his cells memorize his scent forever. They heard footsteps outside and voices, and “Is that Sungyeol? and Myungsoo? Wait I thought they all had left” and soon the door opened and they could see five familiar faces staring at them in awe. It was then that they realised they were still hugging each other.

 

“Come on, guys, get out of the closet already” Hoya said and the rest of the guys started laughing like mad and Sungkyu would have kicked them if it wasn’t Christmas Eve.

 

“What are you doing here? I thought you’d left?” they both asked.

 

“Well, my friends, we could’t just let you spend Christmas Eve without your families, so we thought, why not come here and scare you a little? We are, after all, family.” Dongwoo said with a sweet voice and Woohyun ran to him and ruffled his hair.

 

“ We’re happy it worked, though you flirting with each other wasn’t a part of the plan” laughed Sungyeol and Sungkyu just glared at him. “I guess it’s the Christmas spirit doing its thing”.

 

“Wait, so you’re telling me that you barged in here and let the windows open and followed us and locked us in the closet and did those creepy things to make our Christmas beautiful?” Sungkyu squinted his tiny eyes at the five culprits. They laughed and made their way into the kitchen to rummage though the fridge for some food, leaving Woohyun and Sungkyu behind. They looked at each other and grinned, locking their pinkies as they made their way to the kitchen, where the rest of INFINITE were sat at the table, inhaling some ramen. They raised their eyes as Woohyun and Sungkyu walked into the room, and then lowered them to watch their hands. Hoya widened his eyes, then went back to his food; Dongwoo was almost choking, laughing and screaming and crying at the same time, and they could hear fragments of sentences, like “my babies did it” and “I’m so proud”. Sungyeol high-fived Sungjong, while Myungsoo was just staring at the two guys, who were currently blushing and rolling their eyes.

 

“YES! I WON! NOW GIVE ME MY BAMBOO PILLOW BACK!” Myungsoo yelled, startling everyone. A few bowls of ramen fell down from the table, knocked by Sungyeol who jumped and accidentally kicked Sungjong too. Sungjong wanted to hit Sungyeol, but he backed away, so he hit Dongwoo instead, who collapsed over Hoya, laughing like crazy. Hoya, however, was giving everyone the biggest stare, and they all calmed down in no time, sitting down at the table again and inviting Woohyun and Sungkyu to join them.

 

They spent the evening watching movies and playing games. Woohyun would occasionally glance towards Sungkyu and smile, and Sungkyu would lower his eyes and bite his lip, trying to suppress the smile that was spreading across his features. Getting trapped inside the dorm at Christmas Eve wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
