A Killer?
I Was Lost And Then You Found Me (HIATUS)Luhan remembered the painful incident that had happened years ago. Both he and Yixing had buried it in the past but knowing that Suho was probably acting up again, he couldn’t help it but think about the past.
It was actually when Naeun, a girl they went to college with, rejected his advances. At first, Luhan didn’t think much of did until he saw with his very own eyes how Joonmyeon changed. He became a completely different person. The devil was actually Suho, not Joonmyeon.
Joonmyeon was just someone who tried to act tough and mean most of the time, but he had a soft heart. Suho on the other hand, was truly something else. He was a smooth talker, one who mesmerized everyone immediately causing them to believe all his lies. Suho was also the party animal- he lived by money, alcohol and women. He sure was a better company than Joonmyeon who was serious and boring most of the time. But he was a lot scarier as well. Heck, Joonmyeon was scary when he got mad, but Suho, there was no way to describe it. You see, he was the real angel-faced devil. You wouldn’t ever be able to tell what he’d do next or what he was capable of, his mind was too cunning, too complex for one to have a complete grasp of it. And that, made him more dangerous and threatening to those around him.
A few months after Naeun broke his heart, the girl seemingly vanished from the face of the Earth at the campus on a long and dark night. When the authorities had found her, she was dead. Her lifeless body was hung from a tree deep in the forest. The school had spare land behind it, so they didn’t cut down the trees in the area. When the body had been found, they saw that she even left a suicide note which immediately convinced everyone.
It really looked like she committed suicide but Luhan knew better. Suho had joked just a few nights before that he was going to fix things between him and Naeun, so that they could be friends again. And on the night the girl vanished, he saw Suho coming back to the dorm at three o’clock in the morning with muddy shoes. He never shared his knowledge with anyone else other than Yixing who begged him not to tell the authorities.
Luhan knew that with Suho on the loose, there’ll be no predicting of what would happen next.
“But why is he here again?” Luhan asked Yixing as they sat somewhere private.
“Do you remember that night when you saw me at the restaurant?” Yixing asked him.
“The night I asked Eunhye to be my girlfriend?” Luhan asked and saw him nod.
“Yes. That night. You asked why I was there, right? I followed Joonmyeon there Lu after he barged into my hotel room looking for you,” Yixing told him.
“YOU MEAN TO SAY, HE PROBABLY HEARD EVERYTHING EUNHYE AND I TALKED ABOUT?” Luhan asked as he paled at the implications of that occurrence.
“Yes. He did, Lu,” Yixing quietly replied.
“WELL THEN WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME SOONER?” Luhan practically shouted at Yixing.
“Shhh. Excuse me sir, but you two are disrupting the peace in this hospital. I have to ask you to leave,” a nurse approached them and reprimanded them.
“We’re very sorry. Come on Lu. Let’s talk somewhere else,” Yixing bowed to the woman and pulled Luhan towards the elevator. The two remained in silence until they reached the garden and sat on a bench.
“I couldn’t tell you Lu,” Yixing tried to explain. “I wasn’t sure, not until Uncle told me he never came home that night. I saw him leave Lu, and I didn’t follow him. Just like how I never bothered to follow him when he said he’d meet with Naeun-sshi. I should’ve followed him that night Lu. I should have done that, and maybe… Just maybe, things would have been different today,” Yixing said as he broke down and cried.
Luhan rarely saw Yixing crying and it softened his heart. Yixing’s
