Confrontation.
Memories of Her.
Suho instantly wrapped his hands around Kai's wrists and used his rock solid abdominal muscles to lift
himself up and kick Kai in the stomach. Kai winced and coughed out choked air, doubling over at his
leaders intense power. He looked up with dark eyes and caught his breath, rushing towards Suho with a
fist ready to strike. The leader caught Kai's fist before it reached his gut and twisted it, not enough to
break it but enough to have Kai drop to the floor and clutch it tightly to his chest. Suho stepped over the
boy and walked towards his desk.
"I don't want to have to fight you Kai, you know that."
"If you tell me what I need to know then you wont have to." Kai grunted, picking himself up from the floor.
"If afraid that's not going to happen." Suho replied calmly, filing through various papers. Kai approached
Suho again, slowly and almost unnoticeably. If he couldn't get the papers by force, he would get them
another way. Kai focused on the stack of papers in Suho's hand and used his powers to teleport them into
his own. The second Kai had them in his hands, Suho submerged his entire body in water. He knew for
Kai to teleport he needed a clear space, and being surrounded by water was the opposite of that. The only
space Suho kept free was the papers.
"You'd better give those back Kai." Suho said darkly. The hostility of his voice made Kai start to panick. "If
you want to breathe in again that is." Kai began to shake, every inch of his body tensed and full of fear. He
knew there were two sides to his leader, but he had never witnessed both of them. His heart pounded against
his chest, trying to escape, and he dropped the papers out of nerves. Suho let the water fall from Kai and
collect itself into a jar on his bedside table.
"Thank you, Kai!" Suho's voice returned to the cheery, kind one Kai had grown to know. It was frightening
how that side of him lurked within the cheeriness, and that the loving smile Kai knew could at any time be
a hoax. He had learnt his lessen for sure - never get on the wrong side of Suho. He stayed on the ground,
panting and catching his breath for a while, whilst Suho arranged the files back into their folders
"I know Amber is alive." Kai said quietly after a long silence. Suho paused for a split second, before going
back to his filing.
"Is that so? What makes you think that?" he replied in an off voice.
"Don't play innocent hyung, I saw her on earth."
"Wasn't it 3am? Why would she be at Lay's doorstep? It was probably someone who looked like her."
"Hyung!" Kai slammed his hands down and Suho stopped. "I saw her and Lay because he accidentally placed
a temporary power block on me. It. Was. Amber." Suho let out a sigh.
"Look, I-" But before he could finish, you appeared at the open doorway.
"If you're going to tell him, tell me too." You said, brows furrowed with determination.
"Why would I tell you anything from the top secret archives of our planet and its surveillance methods?" Suho
asked. You took a deep breath.
"You will." You said, taking a step into his room. "Because we're going to make a trade."
"A trade?" Suho asked. "Of what kind?"
"Hyung, you're not seriously considering-"
"She might have something useful to offer." Suho cut Kai off like ham from the bone. "Continue."
"Information." You stated. "You tell me what I want to know, and I tell you something in return."
"And what would you be telling me?" Suho asked, tilting his head back as a sort of challenge.
"I know something about Lay and his memories that you don't. Something from before you started watching him
with shadows." You said seriously. "I know why he started to remember." Suho inhaled slowly, pondering his
decision.
"And how would you know that?" he asked.
"Because," you answered. "I'm the reason."

He woke up in a cold sweat, bolting upright in the bed with eyes wide as saucers. He panted heavily, trying to
work out what had happened. He couldn't remember a thing since he had out last night. Looking around
the room, he soon realized he was in an unfamiliar surrounding. He prayed that he wasn't being held captive,
however this room looked too nice to be a prison of any kind.
"Lay! You're up!" Ryeowook walked around the corner and through the slightly ajar door, drying his hands on
a tea-towel with his sleeves rolled past his elbows. "How are you?" Lay blinked a few times, beads of sweat
rolling down his forehead and past his eyelashes. He was still trying to catch his breath when he suddenly snapped
his head in Ryeowook's direction.
"Where's Hyoyeon? Kyuhyun? What happened? Why aren't we dead? Where am I? What-"
"Woah! Woah!" Ryeowook sat beside Lay on his bed and put a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down, I'll get the
others in here soon so we can discuss everything. Amber filled us in on a lot, and -"
"Amber? How does she know what happened?" Lay asked. Ryeowook looked out to the door.
"Look, first I think you should get changed into some clean clothes, I brought some over for you." Ryeowook
said calmly. "Then come out to the lounge and we'll tell you everything." Lay nodded and looked at his hands,
taking a deep breath. Ryeowook stood up and left, clicking the door shut softly on his way out. There was so many
questions and fears whizzing through his head, and it took Lay a good 15 minutes to throw on a shirt and jeans
because he was so distracted. When he emerged from his room, Ryeowook, Amber and Hyoyeon were sitting
on the neatly arranged couches. The second she saw him, Hyoyeon jumped up and threw her arms around Lay,
holding back her tears.
"I thought you would be killed because of me!" she cried. "I'm so sorry!" Lay pat her hair comfortingly and lead
her back to her seat.
"It's ok, I'm ok." he said softly. "Please, someone tell me what happened." Lay sat in a chair opposite Ryeowook,
leaning back heavily.
"Ok. First of all, this is my house. You have to stay here for a while so no one will know where you are."
"Secondly, what did I say about your powers?" Amber cut in. "I'm being serious now, ok? You can't use them.
Ever. If you use them again, there's a high chance you'll die."
"Thirdly," Hyoyeon began. "If you see Zelo, don't hurt him. He's a nice boy." Lay's eyes darted back and forth in
confusion. Amber sighed and rested her elbows on her thighs.
"Look, maybe it'd be easier if we explained it this way..."

The second Lay fell unconscious, Hyoyeon began to panick. Lay was in even more danger now and it was her fault
for being there. She struggled again and tried her hardest to stand up.
"What did I tell you!?" Yongguk slapped her across the face once again, a sickening crack rupturing the air. Zelo's
blood was boiling and he stared furiously into Yongguk's eyes.
"And what did I tell you?" he asked in a low growl.
"Why do you care about her?" Kyuhyun asked, amused by the whole thing. "She'll die along with the others, you
know that." Zelo grit his teeth together. "And she's already injured enough to knock her out. Caring about her now
is pointless."
"What if Lay heals her?" Zelo asked, challenging his elder for the first time in his life. Kyuhyun gave a condescending
chuckle and in a flash had Zelo held up by his jawline in one hand.
"If Lay uses his powers again, I'll use mine to track him down and kill him, and everyone around him - you
understand?" Zelo nodded in a panic, his eyes squeezed shut and had never been more afraid in his life. Although
he was petrified of Kyuhyun and his power, he knew if he did nothing now then innocent lives would be taken in
front of him - including Hyoyeon's. Thinking on his feet, he whipped his head around to face Hyoyeon.
"Run!" He yelled, and in the split of a second used his powers that control state of matter to turn both the vine that
held Lay and the ropes that tied Hyoyeon into liquid. Hyoyeon jumped up before any of the others could stop her,
and ran over to Lay. As soon as she got to him, Zelo created a thick mist that surrounded them out of the gasses
in the atmosphere, and revealed a path for Hyoyeon to escape with Lay into the thick bush. Hyoyeon silently
thanked Zelo and hauled Lay's motionless body to the bushes, where Ryeowook helped them back to his house for
safety. Various angry curses could be heard through the mist as well as countless death threats towards the
maknae. But by the time the mist had cleared, Zelo was gone - and not another soul knew of his whereabouts.

Lay shook his head, cradling it in his hands.
"So if I use my powers again, Kyuhyun will find me and kill me, as well as everyone else around me?" he
asked, his voice becoming panicked. "And you both could have died because of me!?"
"Look, I know it's a lot to handle right now, but trust me." Amber said. "We won't leave your side from now
on. We're gonna make sure that everything turns out ok, and we're sure as hell gonna make sure that Kyuhyun
gets his just desserts. You'll be fine with us around." Lay's heart still beat heavily in his chest. No matter what
his friends said, he was constantly in danger, and so were they now, thanks to him.

"So wait, because you went to earth a few months ago and saw Lay, you're saying that's what triggered his
memory?" Kai asked. Suho grabbed the files he had recently been fighting over with Kai and scanned through
them. Suho had told you everything he had kept secret from you and the rest of EXO, and your information
proved more than useful.
"That all makes sense." Suho said, eyes darting back and forth over countless words. "The time ____
mentioned is the same as the time he started remembering things from my account, and its been growing
since that time. There was no reports of any memories previous to that."
"So what do we do now?" Kai asked.
"We'll need a few days to prepare, but all of us need to go to earth and help him remember the last few
memories." Suho said. "It's useless trying to prevent him from remembering now, he remembers almost
everything. If he doesn't remember the last things soon, the effects of being on earth for too long with active
powers will kill him." You nodded, tears threatening your eyes. You looked defenseless, small. Kai sighed
and rolled his eyes, putting an arm around you to comfort you. He wouldn't look you in the eye, he wasn't
willing to let go of all of his pride.
"After he remembers everything, we bring him back to EXO so he can gain more strength. He's already
becoming weaker. When he first started remembering my reports show that he would just daze out, like in
a daydream." Suho paused. "My more recent reports - these ones - " he waved the papers in the air "Tell me
that now he falls completely unconscious, like he's been knocked out." Kai rubbed your back, and you
didn't even realize that tears were falling down your face.
"We need to hurry." He said coldly. "These reports are fresh from midnight last night. They tell me he was
captured by the enemy and almost killed." You let out a choked cry. "He escaped virtually unharmed. We
don't want this happening again. I'll call a meeting with Kris right away. You two had better go back to
your rooms." Suho spoke in short sentences, and anyone could tell he was dead tired. He cared for the
wellbeing of his members more though, so he would stay up as long as it took. Kai wrapped and arm around
your waist to support you and you put an arm around his shoulders. Having the news not-so-gently broken
to you about the near fatality of your lover was not the easiest thing to just walk away from.
"He'll be ok." Kai said sweetly. It was the first thing you had really heard him say sympathy-wise. "If we
can trust anyone with the life of a guardian, it's Suho." You nodded, still shaken and looking at your feet
through blurred vision thanks to your tears. Kai sighed and turned you to face him. He stretched his sleeve
over his hand and wiped your tears from your eyes.
"Stop crying." he said bluntly. "If you don't you'll end up crashing into something because you can't see." You
nodded again, not looking directly at Kai. He could be a real sometimes, but when it came down to it he
cared about you just like everyone else and didn't want to see you hurt. Kai was a good friend.
