Illegal Marriage“Hows my princess feeling?” Jung Su Bin asked his daughter as she sat by the dining table to have her serve of breakfast. Jessica looked up from her plate of breakfast, she looked miserable. There was no life in her, she just blankly stared at her father and gave him a lifeless nod before returning to finish her breakfast. It wasn't because she was sick, surprisingly she got better in the course of two days. It was still unknown if she got better so quick because she wanted to or because Donghae looked after her very well. Either way Jessica had so much gratitude for the boy who looked after her until she felt better.
It wasn't just Jessica who was feeling this off feeling, everyone in her grandmothers mansion was feeling it to. The sadness lingered throughout the mansion, it wasn't something that couldn't be escaped from as everyone felt it like it was some serious cold. The Jung's and their grandmother were in the posh dining room eating their breakfast. Every Lee family member excluding Donghae was in the kitchen doing their daily job as servants for the Jung's, while Donghae had permission to be out. He didn't want to catch this cold of sadness that everyone seems to have, he wanted to escape it because he was somehow affected the most by it. Little did he know Jessica was suffering just as bad as he was.
It was a sad day for both of the friends, the day they have been longing for, the day they both never thought would come. It was the day that the Jung's are set to leave their fantastic summer holiday in Korea to return back to their own country. Even though the Jung's are due to come back for another summer holiday in two years it still worried Donghae that he won't be able to see his friend Jessica again. Jessica is now growing older and Donghae is worried if Jessica will finally think she's too old to continue to Korea for summer holidays.Every two years of his fourteen years of living Donghae said his farewells to Jessica, each year he got closer to Jessica making each farewell harder and harder. This time it was harder then all the goodbyes he has said to Jessica put together, it was the first summer meeting with Jessica where he started having beating feelings for her that are still unknown to him. He never got the heart to tell her, Jessica was out of his league. He was just a help to her while Jessica was all shades of rich.
Now that the Jung's are leaving the mansion that was once a joyful place full of laughter, old stories being told and food fiestas won't be happening for a while. Even Jessica doesn't want to leave Korea, she's not ready to attend another year of middle school. All she wanted to do was play everyday with Donghae and Donghyeon, if only she could pack them in her suitcase.
Jessica's grandmother could see right through her only grandchild as she hardly touch her breakfast. The house had this awful vibe but Jessica has the worst one out of all. "Jess honey why don’t you get some fresh air. Go for a walk before we leave for the airport” Jessica’s grandmother suggested her to do. Jessica wanted to escape this house of sadness, so she accepted it without a second thought. She dragged her small legs to the door and headed out for the outdoors for a walk around the neighborhood for the last time.
Being in Korea was much different than being in San Francisco, Jessica's hometown. Jessica could feel the difference of the two countries with the air she took in her system when shes in Korea. There was a more vibrant and free feeling huddled over her that made Jessica loved about the country. Jessica’s life was simple in the states, she was a bit wealthier then her classmates. In school she wasn’t a somebody nor was she a nobody. People found her very pretty but of course nobody dated her, her male American classmates always went for the pretty American’s with blond hair and big . Jessica was the opposite from the others but regardless she was still loved by her friends and classmates. There was nothing special about Jessica’s life in the US she would always be at home doing school work and in special occasions she would be spending time with her friends. Being in Korea her life wasn’t boring, every day she got to go out and explore the country with her family. Jessica was her most happiest when spending summer in Korea, in Korea her parents let her run wild and free, they let her do whatever she wants stuff that she’s not allowed to do back at home.
Jessica took her grandmothers advice and left the dining table to go on a little walk to refresh her mind. Each step she took she couldn’t help but think it’s her last step she’ll take in this certain location. Everything to Jessica was the last for her in her mind which made her sad. Jessica drifted off forgetting she has to be back at a certain time. She manages to walk out of the street and into a new place where she has never been. It was no lie that Jessica was absolutely terrified that she possibly is lost. She strolled too far and now she doesn’t know how to get back to her grandmothers mansion.
The fact she was leaving this beautiful land placed her in no mood. She had no motivation to stand back up; she had no heart to leave this place. With no idea where she is, she sat on a bench under a large tree in a random park she was lost in. “Boo” Jessica released a high pitch scream when a pair of two fingers bit on both sides of her hips. She jumped a bit from her seat but automatically retrieved back to herself as quick as possible. Jessica turned around to find a silly little boy laughing at her, it was silly little Donghae laughing at her reaction to his little prank on her.
“You’re such an idiot” Jessica
