Baro awoke a couple of hours later. He moaned in pain as became aware of his injuries. The bandages on his back were soaked in blood, his legs felt like they were on fire and his felt like a mixture of the two. He lay there glad that at least his abs escaped the torture.

‘it took me long enough to get them without him ruining them” thought Baro as he lay there.

 He turned over in bed and almost screamed in shock. Sandeul lay asleep, with his head lying on Baro’s bed. His face wasn’t far from Baro’s. Baro could feel Sandeul’s light breathing on his. Baro relaxed as he stared at the sleeping Sandeul.

‘He looks cute’ thought Baro as he continued to stare at Sandeul.

 He grinned at Sandeul however just then he noticed a bruise on Sandeul's upper arm as well as on his shoulder. Baro wondered why he had the bruises before he finally adverted his gaze. There was still some light coming through the window. However Baro was unable to tell the time, as it had been dark and cloudy when he came into the school earlier. Baro sat up, looking around the room. He winced in pain when he sat up, when he put his back against the pillow and whenever he turned his head to quickly.

The room was empty other than Baro and Sandeul. Daehyun’s bed lay empty, although the position of the blanket made it clear that it hadn’t been made since he left. Baro decided that Daehyun must have left not long ago as the nurse was supposedly quick at fixing things such as the blankets. Baro then began to wonder where the nurse was.

‘Is she finished for the day?’ wondered Baro as he noticed that the desk looked like it hadn’t been touched for a while.

The lights were also turned off and the curtains were drawn. All things which were unusual for the nurse to have done if she was still working. Suddenly Sandeul began to yawn as he sat up. Sandeul rubbed his head and stretched his arms.

“Oh, you’re up” said Sandeul.

“Hm. Where is everyone?” asked Baro.

“Daehyun was going home and the nurse went to arrange with your mom about bringing you to the hospital. She said the cuts, especially the ones on your back, are pretty bad and won’t stop bleeding.” Replied Sandeul. “How are you feeling?”

“Okay, I suppose. A bit sore and stiff.” Answered Baro.

“A bit?” laughed Sandeul.

“Anyway, can I leave or do I have to wait for the nurse?” asked Baro.

“You don’t even have clothes”

“What?”

“Your shirt is covered in blood, your t-shirt is ripped, your blazer has no buttons and your trousers have blood on them” said Sandeul.

“Then how can I get home?” asked Baro.

“Your mom went home to get you some clothes” replied Sandeul.

“Wait my mom?” said Baro. “She was here?”

Baro sat in shock as he looked at Sandeul.

“Hm. Or should I say foster mother.”

Baro’s eyes widened.

“Who else knows?” asked Baro.

“No one other than those that weren’t in the room.” Said Sandeul.

“Who?” pushed Baro.

“Mrs Song, the nurse and myself. Oh should I also say Daehyun, but he already knew, right?”

“Look I would have told you”

“Don’t” interrupted Sandeul. Sandeul smiled at Baro who looked guilty. “Why are you so worked up? We haven’t even known each other for a full day. Yes you lied earlier. However you also told the truth.”

“What?”

“You said you didn’t like Daehyun.” Said Sandeul.

“And?”

“And, that is both a lie and a truth. Yes you like Daehyun but as a brother or friend however you don’t liiiikkkkeee Daehyun.” Said Sandeul.

“Oh, well that’s true” replied Baro. “Do you know how Daehyun is?”

“Cut, bruised and in pain but nowhere near as badly as you”. Replied Sandeul.

“That’s good”

“Hm. Would you do that for anyone?” asked Sandeul.

“Do what?”

“Defend someone in a fight.” Said Sandeul.

“Depends”

“On what?” asked Sandeul.

“The person. If they are the innocent type who wouldn’t purposely doing it. If it was a girl being attacked by a guy and if they are my friend” replied Baro.

“Who would you consider a friend?”

“Well Daehyun” said Baro. “And you.”

Both Sandeul and Baro smiled.

“That’s good” said Sandeul.

“Hey, don’t go getting any ideas, especially considering im like this” said Baro

Baro indicated his injuries.

“Don’t worry” said Sandeul defensively. “Besides im sure I’d like to see your arse bleeding again.”

Sandeul froze. He sat there in embarrassment.

“Who seen my ?” asked Baro. “Did the nurse, did Mrs Song?

“Relax, relax.” Replied Sandeul. “Daehyun offered to do it. He said you’d feel more comfortable knowing that a guy seen it, instead of a girl. Especially if he’d have to see her again.”

“Thank God” Baro sighed with relief. “Wait you said you seen it”

“Hm. Daehyun needed help, so I offered”

“Oh, thanks” said Baro.

“Don’t mention it, besides it was partly to get out of class”

The two lads started to laugh. Just then the nurse returned. She the light and walked over to Baro smiling.

“How are you Baro-ah?” asked the nurse.

“I’ve been better” replied Baro grinning.

The nurse chuckled at Baro.

“I see Mrs Song was right when she said that you were cute” said the nurse.

Baro pouted at this statement. Sandeul laughed at Baro’s reaction.

“She has a point” said Sandeul trying to hold in his laugh.

“Yah” yelled Baro as he went to hit Sandeul.

However Baro yelled in pain. He stopped the pain and tried to nurse the pain away. The nurse walked over more serious.

“Do they badly hurt?”

Baro nodded through gritted teeth.

“I suppose we better get you to the hospital” said the nurse. “Just what was he thinking?”

The nurse walked away from the two. She walked towards the phone, picked it up and dialled some number. After a short conversation she returned.

“Your mom has just arrived; also one of the security guards will be here shortly to help you down to your mom’s car.” Said the nurse.

Baro smiled. “Thanks”.

Just then Mrs Jung arrived. She handed him the clothes and pulled the curtains around the bed closed. With Sandeul’s help he got dressed. After a minute the security guard arrived. He and Sandeul helped Baro to the car, were Baro thanked them and the nurse. Mrs Jung then got in and offered Sandeul a lift who gladly accepted and got in. After dropping Sandeul near his house they went to the hospital and got some tests done as well as having the wounds treated again.

I know that this isnt as exciting as the last two, but hopefully, if i actually stay on plan this time, the next one will reveal something from an earlier chapter. Oh if you read this just after i published it, which i doubht happened, i added something to Sandeul's description which might be necessary soon in the story.
