Chapter 9

My Life Style

The shower was much needed, it helped his heartbeat slow down after the shock he had that morning. Why would Andy even try such a thing? Sure he was probably a e back in the gang, but this was no job, Junjin had in no way implied that he wanted to sleep with him, so why?

He let out a sigh, this was all just too weird. Just yesterday morning his life was "normal" and had a set purpose, get on top of Dongwan, but now, ever since he met Andy, well, "ever since", it was just yesterday, but it felt like forever, this was already hurting Junjin's head, and he was already starting to question his way too improvised plan. When he saw Andy on the floor begging, something inside of him just stirred, it beckoned him to react, Andy was the broken soul he was looking for in his customers, the one he could save, but it had proved more difficult than he had imagined.

The shower had already taken far too much time, at least 30 minutes, and he knew Andy was waiting outside of the door, breakfast cooked and ready, he just, didn't know how to face him, and all of the things he had thought through these last 30 minutes seemed to fade from his mind and leave it blank again at the thought of having to sit in front of him and eat.

He pulled himself together, he was just being weird because it was so long since someone was last in his apartment, he was just shy, and he couldn't let Andy suffer because of that, it wasn't Andy's fault that he was broken, that was what Junjin had to fix, he just, didn't know it would feel like this.

He went to grab a towel and dry himself off, then he put it around his waist, he couldn't let Andy get any ideas, he then went to open the door to get to his room, and most importantly, his clothes.

"You're taking a long time, do you want me to come in there and help you?" Andy yelled from the living room. The sudden noise startled the already nervous Junjin, and he almost tripped while pulling up his pants.

"NO!" He sounded much more panicked than he had wanted to, and Andy heard that, Junjin could hear the laughter from the living room.

"I mean...I'm done soon, just...wait a minute, ok?" he had to compose himself, he couldn't let Andy have the upper hand, he couldn't leave Andy to his ways of living, he had to teach him everything, he had to fix him.

When he entered the living room Andy was sitting at the table smiling at him, Junjin knew this was going to be awkward, he had nothing to say, or rather, he didn't know what to say.

"So" they both said at the same time.

"You're the guest, so you go first" Junjin said, secretly happy that he didn't have to strike up the conversation.

"I just wanted to apologize for this morning, I really didn't mean to startle you, I just..." he looked at the floor, smile completely gone from his face, it made him look horrible and Junjin felt the stir inside of him again, the voice that beckoned him to help, to comfort him, to teach him.

"Andy" he put his hand on Andy's chin and lifted his head so their eyes could meet, Andy winced slightly at the action, his jaw probably hurt as well.

"I don't blame you Andy, I know your life has been rough, just... try to adjust ok? I'll try not to yell at you again" he finished off with a quick smile, and Andy seemed to cheer up.

"Now, let's eat, I need to go to work, and since our morning was a bit chaotic, I'm a little behind schedule" he smiled again, this time Andy nodded eagerly, he seemed like he had completely forgotten all about the whole yelling and pushing him off the bed incident.

After breakfast was over, and while Junjin was doing the dishes it suddenly hit him. What was Andy going to do while he was gone? Andy had been nice and all, but, what if he ran off with all of Junjin's belongings? He just remembered, he barely knew the guy, he knew nothing about his past, and vise versa. What if Andy ended up doing drugs? Then he would be un-save-able, he would lose his only purpose in life, again. He couldn't let that happen, he had to lock Andy in the apartment or something, or maybe, take him with him?

Andy could keep a look out, just like back when Junjin and Dongwan lived together, this would also give Junjin more time to observe Andy, to make sure nothing happened to him, and that he didn't do anything to others.

"Hey Andy?" he yelled, he was pretty sure the other was in the shower, but the walls were thin, he should be able to hear him.

The bathroom door swung open, and Andy stepped out, not giving Junjin the same "consideration" that he had given him earlier.

"Can you...at least put on a towel, I need to ask you something" his gaze was very focused on the dishes, and he heard Andy chuckle again. Junjin had been lucky enough to look down before he had gotten a good look at him. He needed to learn how you act towards people you've just met, he needed to stop laughing at Junjin every time he did something wrong too.

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with me, to keep me company?" he asked when the other had finally put on some clothes.

"I mean, as long as you cover yourself up, people won't recognize you, right? So it shouldn't be dangerous, and it would be more fun than staying here all day" he smiled again, trying to sell the good idea.

to his relief Andy seemed to be up for anything Junjin asked of him. A wide smile immediately spread on Andy's face, and he eagerly ran towards Junjin.

"Thank you so much. I really thought you would just throw me on the street, or luck me up in the bathroom when you had to go" how could he even think that? Well Junjin did contemplate on locking him up in the apartment, but that was different right? At least he could watch TV in the apartment. He felt a little bad about his thoughts earlier, Andy obviously had some bad memories about being locked up, Junjin had to remember that.

He turned his attention away from the dishes and looked at Andy. He looked so happy in front of him, looking up with that big smile, Junjin couldn't help but hug him to apologize for the things he didn't do.

Andy was startled at first, he stiffened at Junjin's touch, but he soon relaxed and hugged him back.

"I would never do such a thing Andy" he smiled, even though he knew Andy couldn't see it, but something was off, Andy's hug didn't feel right, it didn't feel like Andy was hugging a friend. Junjin pulled away slightly, sensing that Andy might be up to something. He opened his mouth to protest, but before he could utter any words, Andy's lips were on his.

Junjin froze in bewilderment, what was going on?

Andy was trying to deepen the kiss, his arms trying to move Junjin closer, but when Andy's tongue was asking for permission to enter Junjin woke up from his daydream. He shoved him away violently, and Andy weighed less than he had expected, cause Junjin ended up pushing Andy harshly into the kitchen counter and onto the floor.

"Oh my god! Are you alright? did I hurt you?" Junjin panicked, Andy wasn't moving, he just laid there on the floor, lifeless.

I killed him, I killed a man, I killed my only purpose in life, all of those thoughts ran through Junjin's brain, but, Andy only hit the counter with his side, how could that kill him? He bend down, checking for a pulse, and what he found made him release the breath he had been holding. Andy was fine, well fine wasn't the word, he was obviously unconscious, but he wasn't dead. He had to see how bad he had hurt him though, something was obviously wrong since he was able to faint from only a hit to the side.

He carried Andy to Dongwan's bedroom, well, technically it was Andy's now, but he was so used to it being Dongwan's. When he reached the bed he placed him down as carefully as he could, he never knew if Andy had hurt himself internally, he could have. He straightened his back and looked at Andy with a frown, but then he noticed how clean the room was, this Andy was incredibly tidy, the bed was made, his old clothes was folded neatly on a chair in the corner of the room, he was probably too shy to ask if he could have it washed, it was like living with Dongwan again, everything, so orderly.

He was suddenly pulled from his thoughts when he noticed Andy's frame on the bed, and remembered what he had done. He had to check for injuries, and Andy wouldn't complain if Junjin took his shirt off, he was out cold anyway, so no way he could "attack" him this time.

Junjin removed the oversized sweater slowly, a weird choice of clothes to wear, it wasn't really cold in the apartment, but when he saw Andy's arms he suddenly understood what Andy had wanted to achieve.

He was covered in bruises, small wounds, and older scars. Junjin couldn't help but frown deeper, what had this man been doing before he saved him? He definitely understood how a small hit was able to knock him out in this state, Junjin had only known about the cheekbone and the jaw, he wouldn't have treated him this carelessly if he had known this.

He decided to put the shirt back on Andy, and not to check his legs, it was a little more private, and Junjin had a pretty good idea about how they would look.

He went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, Andy would probably be thirsty when he woke up. When he came back in the room Andy was sitting in the bed, his shirt lifted slightly, checking out the new bruise, courtesy of Junjin. When he noticed Junjin he quickly covered it up though, and looked at him with a slight hint of panic.

"It's ok, I know how you look, you don't have to hide it" that sounded so much more suggestive than Junjin had thought it would.

"I mean, I needed to check if I had hurt you badly. I'm sorry about the bruise" he said with a frown and handed him the water.

Andy just smiled and downed the water, he looked very small, like a kicked puppy, or a child who had just been yelled at by it's mother. Junjin felt bad, Andy was obviously confused as to what he did wrong again, Junjin would have to learn how to keep himself from reacting so violently to his "friendliness".

Andy sat the glass at the end table and looked at Junjin with a puzzled look.

"Why...why did you push me?" he sounded so weak, so innocent in some way.

"You kissed me, you don't just kiss people Andy, it's wrong. Do you understand?" he answered in the most calm and soothing tone he could muster.

"But...but you were the one who started it" he almost cried, his brain unable to figure out what was going on. What did he mean Junjin started it, he just hugged him.

That was it, Andy thought the hug wasn't in friendship, that was why he had hugged him back in such a weird way, he didn't even understand hugs, this was going to be hard.

"Andy, I just hugged you, it's a friendly action to show you are happy with the person you're hugging, a hug doesn't mean you should kiss the other. ok?" he lifted his eyebrows, and Andy just nodded with a pout.

"So, I'm staying at home today, right? Since you're mad at me now? Now that I lied to you about the bruises, and i kissed you?" that was why he was so sad? because he thought he was going to be left behind? Truthfully, Junjin would have liked for him to stay, but if Andy really wanted to go, he was allowed to, after all, guard duty wasn't the toughest job.

"You can go Andy, just, don't lie to me again ok?" he smiled and tilted his head in an effort to show him he wasn't mad at him. Andy smiled and started to get up.

"Can I give you a hug?" Andy asked when he was on his legs again, face timid and innocent, and Junjin couldn't help but feel a bubbly feeling in his stomach.

"of cause you can" he said and embraced the smaller man.

Andy was still not hugging in a friendly way, his arms were moving too much towards Junjin's , but right now Junjin couldn't care less, this was a huge improvement.
