After they had congratulated you and the seven of you exited from the gym, you all headed for the actual festival located near the performance halls. It was similarly designed like a school carnival, where there were many stores from which that sold accessories, exhibited games, and had delicious street food where you could buy something and walk around with your friends.

"Ooh! Noona, let's go over there!" 

Sehun, obviously, was the most excited out of the seven of you. You came in second, Chanyeol third, and the rest of the boys just hung back and watched the three of you stare at the variety of things to do for tonight. 

"Noona, look!" Sehun said excitedly, pointed at the lit-up ferris wheel, and started towards it. He effectively swerved in and out of the large crowd coming towards the remaining six of you, as you tried to catch up to the amazed maknae. As you had a hard time and had all the students around you bumping into your shoulders, you felt a hand intertwine its fingers with yours and you were pulled to the owner's side.

You looked up and locked eyes with D.O., who smiled down at you and made his way through the crowd  easily. His warmth that surrounded you made you feel safe, as you inched closer to him when a loud group of boys passed by you, effectively bumping into you harshly and making you stumble slightly.

"Yah." One of the boys glared at you. "Watch where you're going, handicap."

You looked away and in the corner of your eyes, saw D.O.'s eyes flash dangerously at the group of boys.

Before D.O. could retort, someone else stepped up.

"You're kind of stupid. I mean, aren't you the one who bumped into her? You should be the one to apologize, but I'm pretty sure Aerin wouldn't want to hear your un-pubertized voice another second. So, to simply put it... scram."

You sighed in relief as the owner of the voice filled your ears then rolled your eyes when he got your name wrong once more, and mentioned a word that wasn't even legitly in the dictionary.

The group of boys glared at Jungkook, before walking away in bad spirits. Jungkook's dark voice disappeared and he grinned at you playfully.

"Wass up, sistah?!" He greeted, clapping you on the shoulder and winked at you. "Don't I get a thank-"

"Last time I checked, Jungkook, my name wasn't Aerin." You cut off and cocked an eyebrow.

Jungkook paled and started to laugh nervously, "Err...sorry, Ae Cha-"

"That isn't my name either."

"Ah...um...Ahbin?"

"No."

"W-well.."

"It's Ahra." D.O. spoke up with a small smile on his lips when he noticed your annoyed expression. He chuckled and squeezed your fingers lightly.

"Yeah!" Jungkook brightened. "Yeah, Ara."

Your expression darkened and he obviously gulped, but ignored the change of look. Jungkook looked at D.O., his eyes reflecting the question he was going to ask the older boy, but D.O. already figured it out and walked away to stand with the boys who were watching the two of you with careful eyes. Despite Jungkook being your friend, they still were alert of the fact that he was the one who had fought with the maknae.

"Let's meet up sometime, okay?" He grinned and ruffled your hair, despite you being older than him by a few months. "When are you free?"

You bit your lip and thought for a minute. "I guess...we could meet up next Tuesday?"

"Next Tuesday?" He voiced out and raised an eyebrow. "You mean, this Tuesday?"

"No, next Tuesday, Christmas Eve." You corrected and gave him a smile.

"Why next Tuesday?"

You remembered D.O's words, and how he had said earlier when the two of you were waiting for Kai and Sehun to come out, that the seven of you were going on vacation this week.

"I'll be busy the whole week." You explained simply. Jungkook nodded and sent you a smile.

"I'll meet you at the cafe a few blocks from here, at seven, if that's alright?" Jungkook informed you.

You nodded, and he opened his mouth to say something else, when you heard Chanyeol call your name. You gave him an apologetic smile and turned away.

"See you later, Jungkook." You said, then jogged over to the boys. Kai wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you to his side, making you stumble in surprise. Baekhyun caught you with quick reflexes, and sent the younger a glare. Kai guiltily rubbed his nape and grinned sheepishly.

All the while, Jungkook watched you in the middle of the boys, laughing at their childish banter. His eyes darkened and narrowed, then he turned and walked away, disappearing in the crowd of students and families.

 The sky darkened in the few hours the seven of you spent at the carnival, having fun. Almost all of the school population was at the carnival, for the performances and competitions were all finished and all that remained was cleaning everything up. So, the rest of the guests could enjoy the carnival for the night.

The seven of you exited out the carnival and headed to a nearby restaurant for dinner, conversations light and full of mischief as you walked on the sidewalk.

"So, before we enter the restaurant..." Baekhyun cleared his throat and stuck his hand out, with his palm facing the floor. "Team cheer!"

"Family cheer." D.O. corrected, placing his hand ontop of Baekhyun's.

Chanyeol bonked him on the head and placed his hand on D.O's. "No negatism!"

"Negativism." You also corrected with a smile. Chanyeol pouted at you and you laughed.

"What, oppa?"

"You're mean!"

"I was just helping you!" You defended. "Besides-"

He cut you off with a playful
