[Chapter 23: Trust & Love.]

"Kris, what happened to Soohyun and Leeteuk actually?" Jaehyun asked Kris. Jaehyun had been bombarding Kris with numerous questions.

"To capture Hyorin, Taeyeon, Yeonhee needed to kill the 2 of them..." Kris said as he used he not-injuredhand and her hair. Jaehyun was in tears again. "Jinhee won't see her father again..."

"Actually Xiumin lied...Your sisters are almost dead. Yeonhee sedated the 2 sisters so heavily that they did not wake up during the period they were held captive. For Chen, he wasn't given as much sedative as Yeonhee thought he was submissive type."

"Yi Fan....Is this all my fault? If I hadn't flip the tables and change...would all of them be alive?" Jaehyun cried. Kris kept quiet. It was kinda true but if she hadn't change, they wouldn't be where they were and all of them wuold be suffering.

"Hush Jaehyun. Go see your sisters now.." Kris said. Jaehyun nodded and left the room. Xiumin came in. "When you are well, please give Luhan a box on his head." 

"Why?'

"He sent us wedding invitatons when everybody is so miserbale." Xiumin said, his voice filled with absurdity.

Kris merely chuckled. "Speak of the devil."

Xiumin whizzed around to see Choah and Luhan. "C'mon Luhan, we are taking it outside."Xiumin said as he dragged Luhan.

Choah had her head cocked, she took a seat near Kris' bed. 'What happened?" kris facepalmed and explained everything from head to toe.

Jaehyun was walking slowly to Taeyeon and Hyorin's ward. Taeyeon's and Hyorin's bed were side by side. 

"You pabo unnies. Why didn't you tell me? Why was I left alone to suffer in silence? It caused you to suffer in silence. Was it so hard to tell me the truth?" Jaehyun cried. her face was fully stained with tears "Hyorin unnie, how are you going to see Jinhee grow? How unnie."

Chen came in weakly and took a seat beside Jaehyun and patted her back. "Oppa, why are you guys so foolish?" Jaehyun said as she hugged Chen. "It was all for your safely. That was what umma and appa told us."

"Why do you guys need to care for me?" Jaehyun said. 

"You once got abucted as a child by Yeonhee's parent. They kidnapped you because they wanted you as their daughter. umma was sure that they come back for you. Instead of Yeonhee's parents, she came after you." Chen finished. "Oh yes, they told me to pass to you if they are going to die or anything."

Chen had passed her an enevlope. Jaehyun ripped it open and read the contents.

Dear Jaehyun

I'm sorry we couldn't talk like sisters face to face. I'm really sorry for not informing you. Unnie is sorry for everything. Especially not telling you that we are a family. I'm really sorry for letting you suffer in silence. But I realised if I were to say you were my sister, all of us would be in danger so we had to keep it a secret. But then I realised that Yeonhee found out. Knowing that she hated you for 'stealing' Kris, we had to delay our reunion. But Mr Im, our undercover spy found out that she planned to kill us to help her parents which was ironic as she was the one that murdered them. I knew she was coming for me thus I had to leave but I couldn't leave with Jinhee right? I don't want my daughter to die. So I had to leave her with you. I couldn't leave her with SISTAR cause they do not know anything. I left her with you because Kris is there and Yeonhee does not know about your whereabouts. Soyu moved so that Yeonhee couldn't track. I'm writing this letter on the behalf of all my siblings. Please take care of yourself, be happy with Kris. Jinhee. Make sur she has both your brain and fashion sense. I love you. When we're dead, spread our ashes on the sea. That's our last wish

And as if on cue, the heart machine of the sisters went a long beep. Jaehyun cried hardly. Chen couldn't help but look away, tears in his eyes. Xiumin barged in the and saw the 92 and 93 liner kim brother and sister full of tears. Xiumin dropped on the floor, face in his hands.

It was the funeral of Taeyeon, Hyorin, Leeteuk and Soohyun. U-KISS and SISTAR were there together with EXO, The Park Siblings, Wu siblings and Kim siblings and Minah and Sungyeol. Jaehyun's eyes had been so puffy due to crying for many days. Jaehyun, dressed in a black dress, don her gloves and spreadedHyorin's and Taeyeon's ashes.

"Goodbye forever unnies." Jaehyun said as she finished the last of the ashes and broke down crying again. Kris felt so much pain for Jaehyun. Jaehyun had been refusing to eat for the past 2 days and was so weak.

When they were done, Kris took Jaehyun. "Where are we going?" Jaehyun asked lifelessly. "You will see."

30 minutes and they were at a beach. The beach were Kris had indirectly confessed to her. The beach where he confessed to her. The beach where the 2 kissed.

"Why did you bring me here for?" Jaehyun asked.

"Jaehyun. Do you think Hyorin and Taeyeon will like this if you keep on behaving like this?" Kris said.

"Kris, what do you expect me to feel? Happy? Angry?" Jaehyun was in no condition to quarrel.

"I'm trying to say why don't you be thankful for your sisters who sacrificed their lives instead of mulling over it." Kris said.

"Do you understand what you are saying? Do you know how I feel? Do you?" Jaehyun crossed her arms and faced the sea.

"Why don't I?" Kris said.

"You don't Kris. I feel so burdened." Jaehyun answered dryly.

"Why don't you share it with me?" Kris said, crossing his arms now.

"I don't want to burd-"

"JAEHYUN THAT'S NOT IT. DO YOU EVEN TRUST ME AND LOVE ME? I CAN'T BEAR TO SEE YOU SUFFERING, CRYING, IN PAIN." Kris said loudly.

Jaehyun was shocked. Kris never shouted at her before. Scratch that It's the first time. His scream made her feel even worse.

Jaehyun stumbled forward and hugged Kris, tears spilling out. "Yes Kris, It's my fault. I thought I could pull through myself. I'm sorry, I really love you." Kris hugged back. when Jaehyun had finally calm down, Kris released her but only to catch her chin and kissed her full on the lips.

Jaehyun kissed back.

"Does that prove my love for you?" Jaehyun gave a smile. The 2 figures became smaller and smaller as they headed back home.

When the 2 reached home, Minah and Sungyeol were at their house, baby sitting Jinhee. Jaehyun was prepared to start anew.

{10  weeks later.}

Kris, Jaehyun and Jinhee were getting ready for Choah's and Luhan's wedding.

"Kris, did you forgot Jinhee's bottles?" Jaehyun said, coming out of the bedroom in a lime green-emerald high-low dress.

"I'm on it!" Kris said.

You could say that they had become premature parents.

"Is Minah and Sungyeol going to look after Jinhee tonight?"Kris asked as he gathered whatever Jinhee needed into her bag, walking into their bedroom where Jaehyun was applying some light make-up.

"I suppose so. Why?" Jaehyun raised her eyebrow.

"I want to do it tonight." Kris said. Jaehyun froze. 

Jaehyun merely shrugged and check Jinhee's bag to make sure everything was in place. " We will see about it tonight." Jaehyun said.

"I'll be anticipating." Kris smirked as he place Jinhee in her seat in the car. Jaehyun smiled. As she got into the car she said. "You better behave yourself before I change my mind."

"With pleasure."

[6 years later]

"Appa, umma, wake up!!" 3 kids ran into the room and jumped on the bed.

"Why didn't you wait for me!!!" A 7 year old Jinhee followed. "Jaejae Aunt , Yifan Uncle, wake up!!"

"Pretend you've haven't wake up." Kris muttered really into his wife's ear.

"Why aren't they up yet?" A  4 year old girl said. Two 3 year olds shrugged. "Minah Auntie!! Why appa and eomma haven't wake up?" The 2 3 year old twin boys said. Minah came into the room.

"Sunhwa, Sungjae and Sungjong ah, let your parents sleep." Minah said as she tried to get the kids out. Minah then saw the sly smiles on the coupls face. "Correction. All 4 of you, jump on them NOW!" Minah said and walked off.

"ANIYO!" Kris and Jaehyun stood up before the kids could pounce on them. "Morning lovelies." Kris said as he and Jaehyun hugged their children and niece. "How was sleeping over  with Minyeo and Yeolji at Auntie Minah's and Uncle Sungyeol's place?"

"It was fun." 

"Glad to hear that. what would you like for breakfast kids?" Jaehyun asked.

"waffles!"

"Alright. Go wash up!" jaehyun leapt off the bed and headed to the living room. 

"Thanks Minah for taking care of them." Jaehyun thanked her cousin in law.

"ahh it's alright. Besides, Minyeo and Yeolji wanted to play with them. Bye! see you later" Minah said as she left.

It's been 6 years since Hyorin's and the other's death. It has been 4 years since Jaehyun and Kris' marriage. Jaehyun couldn't help but smile as she made waffles.

Jaehyun thought of 6 years back and couldn't help but feel accomplished. Having children, being with the one she loves, what could make her happier.

Indeed, Jaehyun did show that she can be beautiful and smart as well. And of course she showed that nerds do have a life.
