Studying Humans.

My Alien Friend From Outer Space!

Author POV

"Jinyoung... is everything alright?" Hyeri asked quietly, as she stood in front of him. "Jinyoung?"

"E-Everything's fine!" Jinyoung faked a laugh and began circling the room in a fit of confusion.

"What just happened? What were you two talking about?" Hyeri commanded. "Please tell me."

"Sire just said your outfit was fabulous!"

"Jinyoung!"

"Fine," he sighed, and flopped down on the sofa under him. "I told him everything."

"...What do you mean?" Hyeri dared to question. She doesn't really want to hear it, but curiousity is taking over. "Are you in trouble? Is it because of me?"

Jinyoung shook his head; slightly chuckling while he patted Hyeri's head. "Yes, it is your fault." he answered bluntly. But, he doesn't know that he's being 'blunt.' To him he's simply answering her question. "Because you discovered my true identity, I am supposed to go back to my home planet. But, I made a deal with him, so that I won't need to leave and you won't be eliminated.

"E-Eliminated?!" Hyeri gulped. "That guy on the screen just now wanted me eliminated? B-But, why?"

"You know too much." Jinyoung sighed. "Humans do not know of B1A4's existence, and we plan to keep it that way. But, now that you know, our king wanted to kill you off. So that there's no chance of our secrecy going out."

"Why did he change his mind?" Hyeri inquired. "Why did he spare me?"

"I... begged him." Jinyoung answered truthfully. "But, if you were to even mention our alien race, the king will personally skin you alive and boil you in hot oil."

"Skin me alive and boil me..." she mumbled to herself. This is too much information and shock for Hyeri to handle. First, she realizes that the handsome man she picked off the streets just so happens to be an alien, then the ruler of his home planet threatens to grant her a slow and painful death if she is to tell others of their existence. And that's not even the most appalling part.

What Hyeri can't seem to wrap around her mind is that aliens do indeed exist. Not only that, they all live on a planet far away from earth and they view humans simply as objects, or strange creatures.

Hyeri snapped from her day dreaming when she realized Jinyoung re-packed up his backpack and began walking out the door. "Y-Yah! Where are you going?" Hyeri whimpered, and grabbed Jinyoung's wrist to disable him from moving anymore. He looked back at her with a bitter look.

"Leaving. What does it look like?" Jinyoung muttered. Hyeri's eyes widened a little in surprise by Jinyoung's unexpected behavior. This is a grumpy side she has never seen of him. Hyeri knew it was bound to happen, but never did she predict it would occur so soon.

"Why? Don't leave." Hyeri pleaded. "You can't just leave so suddenly."

"And, why not? You're going to tell me to get out anyway."

"And, why would you think that?" Hyeri mocked his tone. "I'm not going to kick you out." Jinyoung sighed, as he threw his backpack on the wood floor.

"I'm a freak, Hyeri. No human wants to stay under the same roof as an alien. I mean, look!" Jinyoung pointed to one of his antennas, and it began to glow blue in the dim lighting of the living room. "You would be lying if you didn't think this was wierd."

Hyeri giggled slightly, as she began to poke at it. "Well, it is wierd. But, wierd is okay Jinyoung. How do you do that anyway?"

"It only does that when I'm angry or embarrassed..." Jinyoung replied.

"I see." Hyeri smiled once more, before returning to her regular straight face. "But, I'm fine with you here Jinyoung. I don't care if you're some dude from outer space."

"Really?!" Jinyoung squealed like a girl. "Oh, thank you!" Jinyoung suddenly embraced her into a tight hold, and lightly swished her around from his super human strength. "I don't think I would be able to find another home! Is there any way I can repay you?"

"By not breaking my ribs."

"Oh, sorry." Jinyoung smiled sheepishly, and released his hold onto her. "Hm... your smile is pretty." he suddenly complimented.

"Bwoh?" Hyeri quickly wiped the smirk off her face.

"You should smile more often. Humans smile when they are happy, right?" Jinyoung didn't care if he sounded 'wierd.' Now that Hyeri knows he is an alien, Jinyoung won't bother to hold back his stupid questions and remarks. Not like he did anyway.

Hyeri laughed awkwardly, but slightly turned her head for the front of her face to not be visible to him. "Anyways, you're going to stay right?" Hyeri changed the subject. Jinyoung nodded happily, as he flopped down on the sofa. The sight of it made Hyeri chuckle silently to herself. The way Jinyoung's temper quickly changes is alike of a young child.

"You seem different from other humans." Jinyoung commented out of the blue. "I would had expected a human being to freak out if they were to discover I'm an alien."

"I am freaked out." Hyeri chuckled. "I think any normal human being would be freaked out to figure out their friend is an alien."

"Friend?" Jinyoung cooed. "We're friends?" Hyeri nodded. "I did not know it was this easy to form a companionship with a human girl."

Hyeri just sat there gawking at Jinyoung. The way he talks and how he chooses his words is a very interesting sight. "Look, it is that creature you humans call 'dogs' again." Jinyoung chirped, as he crouched on the floor to pet Daisy, Hyeri's white pomeramian. "Why is it here?"

"You mean Daisy?" Hyeri knelt on the floor along with Jinyoung. "What do you mean why is she here? It's my pet."

"Pet..." Jinyoung quietly muttered. "It is quite adorable, if I can say."

"She is, isn't she?" Hyeri agreed. "Alot of people have pets, Jinyoung. There's many different kinds you can own. I choose to own only one dog though."

"....Do you eat them?"

"No!" Hyeri yelled, and lifted Daisy into her arms. "You don't eat them! Atleast, you're not suppose to."

"Why? Do they taste bad?" Jinyoung asked with pure innocence. He took out his hand phone to 'take notes' and 'document' human reactions.

"N-No, it's not that Jinyoung. Pets are peoples' friends." Hyeri sighed. "You don't eat your friends, right?"

"Well.... I guess humans don't here on earth. But! On B1A4 we--"

"Please don't say anything more."

The next day.

Author POV

Hyeri woke up in the morning, and went outside to check on Jinyoung. She's always afraid to leave him alone in the house. Hyeri is afraid he might mess things up. "Oh, Hyeri." Jinyoung lowered the book he was reading, and got up from the chair to greet her. "W-What happened to you?"

"What do you mean?" Hyeri asked; confused. Jinyoung gave her a stern look while he lightly traced his fingers along her jaw line, which sent shivers down her spine.

"You look very different when you don't go to work." Jinyoung replied. Oh. Jinyoung means Hyeri looks different when she doesn't fix her hair and put on make up to get ready for college/work. And, since it's the weekend, Hyeri is all natural. Despite that, Jinyoung believes she's very pretty. That thought didn't transmit to Hyeri though.

It took a while for Hyeri to understand, but it only took a moment until she snapped and tugged on his antenna. Jinyoung winced.... in pain? Hyeri can't tell. He always makes this wierd facial expresssion.... it's unreadable. It just better not be what she thinks it is. "Be quiet." Hyeri said playfully. When she looked down, Hyeri couldn't help but notice the romance novel held in Jinyoung's hand. "Why are you reading that?"

Jinyoung raised it to his face to reread the title. "Oh! Because I'm studying."

"Studying...?" Hyeri mumbled.

"You know," Jinyoung averted his eyes away. "I am studying the intimate interaction that can occur between two humans! By the way, where do human babies come from?"

Hyeri ignored his question and swiped the book out of Jinyoung's hands. Hyeri opened the book, and skimmed through the pages to see what it was about.

Oh my. This is too much for Jinyoung's innocent mind. "Jinyoung... do you any idea what's happening in this book?" Hyeri inquired with caution.

Jinyoung rapidly shook his head, his antennas swaying. "Well, I don't know what's happening half the time honestly. Like, there is one part where--" Jinyoung swiped the book from Hyeri, as he raised it in the air to keep it away from her reach. "Here, one sentence says: 'Sangjun pushed her down on the bed and began to make fierce love--"

"Why, look at the time!" Hyeri quickly changed the subject, as she grabbed Jinyoung's wrist and directed him towards the kitchen. "Let's eat breakfast now, okay?"

"But, you didn't answer my question..." Jinyoung muttered quietly, while Hyeri forced him down on the stool. "Please? It is for my educational purposes."

Hyeri sighed deeply, and sat on the stool next to him. There really is no way to avoid this awkward question. "Alright, shoot." Hyeri said reluctantly.

"What does 'making fierce love,' mean?" Jinyoung asked with pure innocence. Hyeri choked on the water she was drinking.

"Y-Yah, can't you just look that up on your doohickey?" Hyeri whined.

"I do not want to." Jinyoung retorted. "I believe it is better to ask a real human."

"U-Um..." How does she put this lightly? "M-Making fierce love means.... intimate interaction. Between two people. Together."

Jinyoung took his phone out and began to take notes. "Like playing twister?"

"."

"Ohhhh." Jinyoung hummed. "Is it fun?"

"F-Fun?" Hyeri snickered. "For some people I guess."

"How about you? Do you think it's fun?"

"H-Huh?" Hyeri's eyes widened in surprise. "U-Um... what do you want for breakfast?"

"What about my question--"

"Oh, you want to eat out? Okay, let's go!" Hyeri quickly avoided his question, as she grabbed Jinyoung's wrist and dragged him to his room. "Here, change into nice clothes, alright?"

------------------------------------------------------------

Jinyoung POV

Hyeri and I walked together to a nearby cafe. It is similar to the one Hyeri works at, but this cafe is bigger in size. "What do you want to eat?" Hyeri asked, while she examined the menu.

"Grape jelly." I reply.

"Like, with bread or something?"

"No, just the jelly. With a spoon!" I correct her. Hyeri gave me a wierd look, but didn't question me anymore. What? Is eating plain jelly wierd? If she thinks that's wierd, she should see our diet on planet B1A4.

After Hyeri ordered for both of us, we then sat together on a small table. But, I had to seat on the chair next to it because Hyeri told me it is abnormal for someone to sit on the table. I'll do what she says; I need to fit in. "Hyeri, what is that?" I ask, as I pointed to a yellow object on top of a napkin.

"It's a banana." Hyeri replied. "It's edible. You want to try it?" she offered, and raised the banana to my face. "It's pretty good."

I take up on her offer, and grab the banana from her hand. Hyeri told me have to peel it before eating it. So, I did. "Yah, don't eat me... I taste like crap I swear!"

"Hyeri, did you say something?" I asked; puzzled. Hyeri shook her head.

"No..?"

What.

Am I hearing things? I shrug it off, and continue to eat the banana. "God, why can't anybody hear me?!" There it is again. Now I know I'm not hearing things. It's not Hyeri though. Unless she's suddenly going through puberty.

The voice definitely belongs to a man. Suddenly, the banana began moving on it's own, and smacked me on the face with the peel! "J-Jinyoung... don't hit yourself with a banana." Hyeri muttered.

"B-But it was the banana! The banana is alive!" I yelled out very loudly, which attracted peoples' attention. The store fell silent as all eyes were glued onto Hyeri and I.

"Don't yell!" Hyeri scolded. "We're in a public place. Now, I'm going to the restroom. Don't do anything wierd, okay?"

I unconsciously nod as Hyeri left the table, and gave all my attention to the banana. Call me crazy, but it began whispering to me. "Hey, you can hear me, can't you? You're special then, humans usually can't tell I can speak."

"W-Well... that's because I'm not human." I whisper back to the banana. I must look like such a freak. I'm sitting alone, talking to fruit.

"What do you mean?" The banana asked back. "You seem like a handsome man. Tell me, do you have the ladies swooning over you?"

....What is that suppose to mean? "I'm an alien." I cut straight to the chase. The banana quietly gasped. If they could have expressions, he would be shocked.

"Wow, really? An alien? I believe you. I'm not being sarcastic by the way."

"Okay..?"

"So, you're not going to eat me, right? Come on, we're friends! We're homies!" The banana chuckled awkwardly. "Oh, and by the way, a hot girl is coming this way. I would put me down if you don't want to look like a freak to her."

------------------------------------------------------------

Author POV

"Welcome back from the toilet." Jinyoung grinned, as he casually set the banana back down on the table. Too bad he doesn't realize that it's weird to greet someone back from taking a bathroom break. Hyeri gave Jinyoung a weird look in response, and took a seat in front of him.

"Thanks I guess." Hyeri chuckled. "You still haven't eaten that banana?" she pointed out, while eyeing the fruit that layed on top of the napkin. Jinyoung nodded.

"Not yet. I'm saving it for later." he replied, just as the worker came and set their food down in front of them. Both Hyeri and Jinyoung thanked the worker. Like a small child, Jinyoung wrapped a napkin around his neck; his appearance was alike of a baby wearing a bib. Hyeri held herself back from bursting into laughter. Jinyoung just doesn't understand how ridiculous he looks. Yet, it's a little cute to Hyeri. "What? Aren't you going to eat?" Jinyoung asked, and began scooping jelly into his mouth. "Whatever that is you ordered, it looks pretty appetizing."

Hyeri snapped from her day dreaming and began eating the grilled short ribs she ordered.

Jinyoung and Hyeri ate their meal in silence. Hyeri really wants to know more about Jinyoung, and why he's here on earth in the first place, but she doesn't want to seem snoopy to him. Even if she did attempt to question his intentions, Jinyoung would not tell her anyway.

"You got a little something there..." Hyeri muttered, as she leaned over the table with a napkin in her hand. Jinyoung leaned back every time Hyeri would get closer. "Jinyoung, there's jelly on the corner of your mouth." Hyeri said while she gently wiped it off and then threw it in front of him.

"Wooo, you're one lucky guy! Is that your girlfriend?" The banana cooed. Jinyoung tried his best not to react to it, no matter how ridiulous it's remarks are.

"Well, she's a girl, and she's my friend. I guess she's my girlfriend." Jinyoung whispered; without knowing the meaning of 'girlfriend.' He just assumed it meant a friend that's a girl.

"What?" Hyeri looked up from eating. "Did you say something?"

"No!" Jinyoung sheepishly smiled. "N-Nothing, just talking to myself is all...."

Silence.

Jinyoung decided to break the ice by asking another question. A couple were making out in the corner of the cafe, with no consideration of every one else. Jinyoung had no idea what they were doing, and he wanted to find out so he can 'document' it. "Hyeri, why are those humans trying to eat each other? In my planet, we would only eat each other because who ever wins has rightful ownership of the defeated one's belongings. Like one time I ate this--"

"Waiter! C-Can we get boxes for our leftovers!" Hyeri quickly avoided the subject, and got up from her seat to get boxes for herself before Jinyoung can ask another awkward question.

"What a hottie. Look at the way her s sway when she runs!" The banana laughed. "Anyways, you have a wierd way of flirting."

"Flirting..?" Jinyoung tilted his head. "What's flirting?"

"N-Nevermind." The banana sighed. "You guys are leaving soon, right? Take me with you!" it pleaded.

"Um," Jinyoung uttered. "I don't know. Won't Hyeri ask why I'm taking you home?"

"Just say you're saving me for later." The banana suggested. "Please, I don't want to stay in this stupid cafe! Iv'e seen what happens to the other bananas, and I will not end up like them. Come on, I'm too young to die." The banana whimpered.

"Fine!" Jinyoung groaned, as he stuffed the banana down his shirt. "Since I'm doing a favor for you, you owe me."

"Like...?"

"You seem to know alot about human girls. If you inform me of their behavior, then I will ensure your survival." Jinyoung promised.

"Oh yeah, I know all about how to pick up the chicks. If, that's what you mean. I'm smooth, I know my way around the ladies. You got yourself a deal!" The banana agreed. "Well, since we seem like friends, let me introduce myself. My name is Fredward!"

"Jinyoung. Jung Jinyoung." Jinyoung replied.

"Jinyoung...?" Hyeri returned to the table with boxes in her hands. "What are you doing? Why are you looking down your shirt and talking to yourself?"

"U-Um, nothing!" Jinyoung laughed, as he frantically stood up. "L-Let's go home!"
