Lotus Flower
For the past two days, the BTOB boys tried their best to distract you from any thoughts of Ilhoon. You couldn't help but appreciate their efforts. *It's strange how hard they are trying*
Today, you stayed in Ilhoon's dorm and patiently waited for their noisy shouts and remarks before entering the dorm. However, you waited and they still had not come. *Maybe they are late today?*
Your eyes looked around the desolated dorm. You sighed, *It's not the same though, I wish Ilhoon was here...*
Suddenly the door opened and you got up immediately. "Minhyuk," you murmured. "Where are the others?"
"Sorry, they have class today," Minhyuk gave a weak smile. "...I guess it's just you and I today," he couldn't help but grin. "Sure," you said; oblivious to his excitement. "So what are we doing today?" you asked.
"What do you want to do?" he asked as the both of you exited Ilhoon's dorm.
You chuckled, "I've done everything I've always wanted to try in the Palace. We flew the kite, climbed trees, played board games," and you began to let out a ring of giggles, "Last but not least, dress up!"
Minhyuk's heart tingled at your giggles. He had never felt this way, it was strange, indeed. "Ah, but you didn't try everything in the Palace."
"What is it?" you asked. He rolled his eyes, "Swordsmanship!"
"Oh, how could I forget?" you gasped and let out a giggle. "Well I never thought that I would get a chance to even hold a sword, so it never came to thought."
"Well, then let's get started today," he grinned as he led you towards the garden.
"So let's start with the basics." He stood behind you and positioned your hands on the sword. "Now, don't grip too tight onto the handle or you will tire yourself out and your opponent can take advantage of you," he said as he loosened your grip. "See that branch?" he whispered into your ear, "Swing!" and he swung your arms as the sword cut the branch. Swish, you couldn't help but laugh in excitement as the branch broke off.
"That was so exciting! Let's do it again," you jumped up and down excitedly.
Minhyuk chuckled at your reaction. "Alright, but we got to work on your leg positions too."

After a long practice of swinging and swooshing, you slumped onto the chair from exhaustion. You were sweating where as Minhyuk was still in a perfect state. "How-how do you do this?" you took deep breaths and thanked Minhyuk as he handed you a cup of green tea. When he touched your hand, a thrilling shiver went down his back. *What is this feeling I keep feeling around Eun Mi? Why am I feeling this way now?*
"Minhyuk?" you murmured as you noticed his silence.
"Huh? Oh, practice," he muttered before sitting down. "After all, practice makes-"
"Perfect," you finished off and rolled your eyes. "How did I know that was coming? Oh, I must be psychic now!" Minhyuk chuckled, "But it'll all be worth it in the end. Only losers complain about the amount of time."
You pouted, "One day," you said determinedly.
"One day will be a long way to come, I can wait. I'll probably be as old as the house maid here."
"Hey! I am doing very well for my first time!" you argued back in defense.
"True, but that doesn't mean you'll keep doing well for the next practices," he grinned.
"Minhyuk!" Minhyuk groaned at the call of his name, "Not her again...I'm starting to hate my name."
You looked up and caught Eun Kyung elegantly walking towards the table. You gave a small sigh, *Of course*
"Minhyuk," she whined, "I thought you were supposed to take me to the market to buy some trinkets for my father's birthday! Have you forgotten that it is in two days?"
"Sorry, I was busy. I was teaching Eun Mi swordsmanship," he said as he took a sip of the green tea. Eun Kyung glared down at you, "You again, it's always you that ruins everything!" she took a deep breath and smirked, "Well, Minhyuk taught me first!"
"Your point is...?" you said as one of your eyebrows quirked up.
"Just hinting that he's taken," she hissed. Then she beamed, "Minhyuk, let's go shopping now!"
"I'm a bit tired right now," he muttered and played with the empty cup.
"Alright, then I'll wait right here," she said as she plotted herself right between you and Minhyuk. You gave a small scoff as she glared at you. She hugged Minhyuk's arm and snuggled next to him. Minhyuk tried to wiggle himself away but Eun Kyung's grip held him down.
"On three?" you mouthed. Minhyuk couldn't help but grin *You know me so well* he gave a small nod, "One, two," you mouthed. "THREE!" you shouted as the both of you dashed away from the table.
"Minhyuk!" Eun Kyung's cry of despair could be heard as she sat by the table, alone. You couldn't help but let out a giggle as you ran away with Minhyuk. Minhyuk glanced in your direction and he started to laugh as well.
When the both of you had finally stopped to rest, you leaned against the wall taking deep breaths to fulfill your demanding lungs with oxygen. When you had finally managed to catch your breath you stood up and dusted off your hanbok.
"She's going to be so mad," you muttered.
"But it was worth it," Minhyuk chuckled. You smiled, "It was, wasn't it?"
"Minhyuk...thanks," you said as you smiled at him. Minhyuk smiled but his eyes trailed down from your big, doe eyes down to your sharp nose and down towards your small lips. His heart rate seemed to speed up. He looked away, *What is this feeling? Is it something I should be fighting against?* He glanced at you again *But this feeling...it felt...wonderful* He put his hands on his heart as he felt his heart beating. *I think I'm in love*
