I'm sooo confused!!!

What is History?

Kris's POV

I sat on Chen's bed and listened to his roommate and his friend for a second.

"Well, sweetheart, if you'd man up, I wouldn't have to force you into things." JaeNi said in a low voice, even though I could hear it perfectly through Chen's door, which was slightly cracked.  Tao snorted and whispered something I couldn't make out. "Aw! Baby panda, that's so cute!"

I felt my face scrunch up in disgust. Her obsessive flirting was making me sick, but Mr. Stuck-up seemed to condone it. I never understood pet names other than the usual "Baby" or "Honey"... But Baby panda? That just sounded awkward in my opinion. He was even so bold as to flirt back! How could she coo all over him? Wasn't she with Suho now?

Chen looked over from the small couch he sat on. "Here, tell me what you think." I took the paper he extended and read over the lyrics. "Do you have a flow yet?"

He shifted his eyes down and made himself more comfortable. "Um... Yeah. Should I sing it?"

I smirked. Chen was a little shy about his singing for me as we were friends. In my opinion it was funny. No matter how close we got, he never liked that anyone he saw daily hearing him sing. It was weird but he'd rather preform for a bunch of total strangers. I had no problem bursting into song, even if I was walking into a public bathroom -which I'd done on a dare...twice! Chen was weird like that, though. "Just the beginning. All the English, just hum the Korean and I'll see if I can keep up."

"Uh, ok. Ready?"

I nodded and he cleared his throat. "Girl, I can’t explain what I feel. Oooh-" He continued on and I followed along with my eyes until he stopped. I looked quizzically at the paper. "What's this highlighted line?"

"I want to translate it into English, but I'm not quite sure of how." He replied. I thought about it and scribbled a few letters and characters. Handing it back to him, he raised a brow and read it loud. "Ai lo... lost? Mai mi-end?"

I laughed as he struggled with it. "I. Lost. My. Mind." I corrected slowly. He repeated it back to me easily and I smiled, giving him a nod.  "It sounds pretty good so far. Is that all there has to be?"

He shook his head, "No, but Luhan volunteered to write the second verse. He said he'd translate and reconstruct the first verse as an attempt to help me learn mandarin and of course I had to agree."

I nodded. Luhan seemed like a nice guy. He was highly intelligent and I saw him playing with a rubix cube in class a lot.  He could be a little clueless at times. He was new, so it was slightly to be expected.

There was a loud laugh from the other room followed by a 'bang'. "Tao! Get your over here!" That was English.

Tao chuckled and I cringed. When I spoke to him, I got either ignored or he'd hurriedly leave the room. In a way, I guess I felt jealous. Why was I so hard to get along with for him? He seemed to do fine around Chen. Personally, however, if the little bastard doesn't like me, then that's all the reason I need not to like him.

"Pshe. Do those two ever knock it off?" I groaned to Chen. A shrug went through my friend. "She leaves on most days to do something else, but other than that, no. They're very close."

I nodded. So Suho's girlfriend was very close to another guy whom she flirted with. So she's easy? Cheating on him? Wait... How long has she been with Tao?

I thought back. Ever since she'd arrived, I'd only see her with Junha and Tao.  So have they been together the entire time?  If so, then is she cheating on Tao with Suho?... My head began to hurt.

"Kris, could you stop thinking so hard and listen?" Chen shouted at me.

I jumped and realized that I'd zoned out. I turned and saw Tao standing in the doorway, hands clasped and head bowed. "What?" I asked. How long had he been there?

Tao's head snapped up and I could see the pink in his cheeks. Geez, what was he doing with JaeNi?! "I asked if you wanted to stay for our evening meal." He said quietly

"Uh, maybe next time. I'm going to get going." At this point, I began to fold my notebook and stuff it in my bag. "I'll see you later, Chen." I got up and went to the door. Tao was pouting slightly as he moved aside for me. I felt bad randomly. He seemed a little... disappointed? Was this an attempt to get to know me? Maybe he was weird like Chen?

There was something cute in the way he pouted... A natural aegyo to it. I gave him a small smile. Damn my weakness for people who could pull of accidental aegyo. "Seriously, don't look so upset. I see you almost every day."

He brightened a little and nodded, keeping his head bowed so I couldn't see his expression. "Yes, Kris gege." His hands flew to his mouth and he looked as if he'd seen a ghost.

Wait... Did he just say gege? "I-I'll see you later." He scurried away.

I raised a brow as I left. Tao may actually surpass Chen in the strange category.

I couldn't understand why he acted so nice to me. Literally all of a sudden. Did Chen tell him to? Was it a request from JaeNi since she was friends with Suho now? Were Suho and JaeNi just friends?

According to Junha, they were a couple. How she acted around Suho confirmed his... However she acted equally relaxed around Tao. She'd been friends with Tao longer so if she'd been dating either, my money would be on Tao. So was she just friends with Suho? My head was pounding... I'd just ask Suho later.

Junha’s POV

I searched the café for the blonde headed guy I was meeting. When I spotted him I hurried over to the table he occupied and sat across from him. I took off my sunglasses and tried to catch my breath. I had run to this café because it was off campus and I knew I was late, so I was a little short of breath.

He sat there all relaxed, but I could tell he was annoyed. He had his hands behind his head, a foot propped up on the table, and his eyes covered with shades. He looked as if he were in a relaxed state, yet the way he breathed out harshly made it clear I had kept him waiting and he wasn’t happy about it.

“Sorry I’m late. I had to ditch Chanyeollie and Baek,” I apologized. “As long as you weren’t followed,” the guy replied as he sat his chair back on all four legs and rose to a sitting position. I scoffed, “Not at all. Hello, I’m the campus stalker remember? Not being seen is my life, Sehun!”

Sehun grinned and took his shades off. He sat them down and folded his hands on the table top. “So any interesting news?” he asked me. “A few things,” I replied as a waitress came up to us and asked us what we wanted. “Bubble tea for me and Yujacha for the lady. We will also have some Kkultarae, Mandugwa, and Yakwa. Thank you,” Sehun told the woman. I clasped my hands together dramatically, “You still remember my favorite tea and sweets. You’re so thoughtful, TokkiGuem.” He rolled his eyes before saying, “I thought we left that nickname back in our childhood? Anyway, what’s new?”

I shook my head, “That nickname is always relevant Sehun! And not much honestly. Suho is dating JaeNi, Baekyeol is real, I’m slowly losing what little mind I have, oh and your friend is ignoring me. That pretty much sums up my life for the past month!” He patted my hand as the waitress brought us our order. I noticed that she kept glancing at Sehun, smiling. I realized she was attempting to flirt with him and he wasn’t receiving the message at all. I cleared my throat and caught the girl’s attention. I smiled sweetly, “We are trying to have a conversation. Plus, he isn’t interested in you as he already has someone. So you should get back to doing your job please.”

She gasped in shock and walked away haughtily. I couldn’t help but laugh. Sehun just glared at me and took a sip of his bubble tea. “What? I couldn’t resist! She was trying sooo hard and you just weren’t paying attention. I figured that by now you’d be aware of it. I mean, the waitresses have all tried hitting on you every month we meet.” He just closed his eyes for a second before opening them. “You know every café by now knows we meet monthly. Anyway have you got anything new on Lulu?” I shook my head and grabbed a piece of kkultarae, “Not really. I had a lead at the beginning of the month but it was a bust. I haven’t quite had time to continue the search with everything that’s been going on. It’s like one massive strike to my mental health after another.”

“Yeah, I heard about that fool Suho and JaeNi. I’m sorry; I know how hard that must be on you. But I’m here for you Junnie.” He scooted his chair beside mine and put an arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder, munching on another piece of kkultarae. I grabbed a mandugwa and handed it to Sehun, knowing it was his favorite.

“I wish we could do this more often. I really miss you TokkiGuem. But you have that stupid feud with Gege; which, by the way, makes no sense.  He claims he didn’t do anything, yet you claim he threw a pencil for no reason,” I told him.

“Ehh, you just don’t understand Junha. So how’s the Kai situation?” Sehun asked. I bit my lip and played with the yakwa I held. I glared at the confectionary as I replied, “It’s more complicated than it should be. I think I may actually like him a little bit. It’s so annoying!” I popped the sugary morsel in my mouth angrily. Sehun laughed at me. It was a beautiful sound that reminded me of our childhood together. Regardless though, I glared at him, “Yah! It’s not funny. Kai’s a jerk and I shouldn’t fall for a jerk. It’s just crazy for me to actually develop feelings for someone I’m stalking.”

Sehun rubbed my back, “Well I say it’s about time. Kai’s not an actual jerk and you know it. So just loosen up and quit worrying about things. Ignore your brother and JaeNi, do things that make you happy, find another guy to stalk. Just don’t wallow in misery, it doesn’t suit you Junnie.” I sat up and looked at Sehun. I smiled, “Thank you TokkiGuem. I’ll see you next month.” I grabbed the rest of the kkultarae and kissed Sehun’s cheek. He smiled, “Don’t forget to continue looking into Lulu.” I nodded and with that I bounced happily back to campus, glad that I had a chance to talk to Sehun. He always had a way of making me feel better ever since we were younger. I had always gone to him for my troubles, even though he was younger than me. Even now I do, though it’s a lot harder because he doesn’t want anyone to know our little secret. He can be so strange at times.

(3rd person)

"... And Onew said Xiumin's stove caused such a big fire that the teacher evacuated the students while he handled it." She explained, sipping her drink. She was sitting beside Chanyeol, looking across to a smirking Baekhyun.

He seemed very smug at this moment. "He thinks he's so great. I may be gay, but at least I can cook!" The diva announced.

Chanyeol's brow rose, "uality and cooking skills are co-dependent? Because I'm just as gay as you are and my skills in the kitchen are slightly lacking to say the least." Baekhyun reached across the table to place his hands over one of his boyfriend's. "Don't worry, Channie, I'll take care of you." Chanyeol grinned moronically.

Suho shrugged, "Well, Onew does like to exaggerate."

"But it matches completely. Everybody was standing outside of the culinary labs on Tuesday at about 10:20." Baekhyun pouted at the thought of the story not being true.

JaeNi simply shrugged, "Maybe Lay and D.O. are in that class and it was one of their jokes. They haven't done anything in a while, so I wouldn't put it past them."

"Maybe." Was Suho's only reply.

Chanyeol stood up and stretched, towering an already short feeling JaeNi, "Well, if we're going to catch the movie, we should probably get going."

Baekhyun grinned beside Suho and stood up, "We'll tell you if it’s any good!"

JaeNi smiled a little to the diva with a wink, "I'll expect details." In the short amount of time JaeNi had gotten to know Suho's friends, she was closest to Baekhyun. He seemed nice and didn't mind her, even talked to her like he'd known her forever. It was nice to see people like that still existed.

The couple left and JaeNi looked around. Suho stood up and took his cup to the sink. "So how was your day?" He asked, rinsing the dish and drying it on a hand towel.

"Eh... It was ok. I guess. Besides talking to Onew, nothing much really happened. Junha seems to be avoiding me though." She shifted uncomfortably as Suho offered her a small smile and stood in front of her.

He lowered himself to her height, kneeling down, and reached out to touch her hands that were clasped around her cup. She gulped and waited, feeling as if her heart were going to explode from the closeness. Why was this so exciting? She scolded herself mentally.

"JaeNi!" Suho snapped his fingers in her face. She looked up, a little startled as he chuckled. "Huh?"

"I asked if you were done with your cup." She handed it over to him and watched as he went to the sink.

She tried to swallow, but was suddenly dry. There was no way in Hell...

She did NOT like Suho that way...
