AJ told me a story about a boy and a girl –again- who were best friends. The boy had secret feelings for the girl but he had no idea if the girl felt the same way as him. So he asked her while they were walking from school, with a bike.

“So what did she answer?” I asked AJ when he stopped talking.

“Okay, imagine we were the boy and the girl from the story. I asked you that question, what would you say?” he asked.

“Mmm, I don’t really know.” I said.

“Just try. Think of yourself as that girl; since we’re going home like them.”

I tried to think hard. So what if AJ does have secret feelings for me? I kinda like him already. He’s so nice to me, not like that guy Doojoon; who’s making my life a bit miserable.

“I’d tell you I like you too.” I blurted out. AJ stopped.

“Chincha?” he smiled.

“Yeah? Well, if that guy in the story was good as you, then yeah.” I said. He was still smiling.

“By the way, where did you get that story?” I asked.

Narrator:

“From… somewhere.” He answered. ____ didn’t have any idea that AJ was challenging her. To be able to say what she really felt towards him. AJ likes her already. What if she doesn’t? It’s better to make sure.

Then a black car stopped beside them.

“Sheesh! So rude!” ____ exclaimed.

The car window opened and there it was, Doojoon with a serious face.

“Get in the car, Gi Kwang.” He said.

“Then what about her?” he asked.

“Leave her. You can’t be with her.”

“Why not?”

“Cause she’s different. Get in.” he ordered.

“Hyung…”

“Get in.” Doojoon insisted.

“Go.” I whispered. “I’ll be okay. Promise.”

“I’m really sorry. Doojoon’s doing this cause we’ll be having a meeting.”

“I understand. Go.” I pushed him gently.

“I’ll call you.” He whispered to me as if he was going to kiss my cheek goodbye; but I let my expectations too high. The car left quickly as if to make sure I won’t interrupt.

I rode to the hill and rest. An hour later as I was about to go down, I saw AJ coming up. I ran to him.

“AJ! I was waiting for your call.” I said to him.

“My phone’s dead. Sorry.” He said while taking a rest for a while.

“It’s okay. So what did you do with Doojoon?”

“Uggh, just silly talk. Anyway, are you going home now?”

“Anio. I’m going to the orphanage. Wanna come?”

“Sure!” and so, we went at the orphanage and spent the whole time there.
