A Visit from An Angel
Heaven's Disaster
After having Cho Minho laugh at my face. I decided to not bother so much. I'd just ask my dad to change my assignment.
After all, how could I protect some one who didn't want to be protected right?
I was sitting on my couch, reading Teen Angelus, and sipping on some banana milk -which let me tell you, was one of the greatest inventions of humans- when a familiar winged figure appeared in my house.
"Hello Laila," he said.
" Kim Seongsaenim!" I yelled and jumped to hug him. This small, thin man, with an eccentric mustache had been my favorite teacher back in Angelus. Mostly because he always helped me in his class. He didn't give up on me like all the other teachers.
I stepped back, "What brings you here?"
"I have a message from your father," he said, "It seems you aren't taking your assignment seriously."
I pouted, "He doesn't want me to protect him."
"Minyoung," he said sternly, "It is not his choice. He may not seem like it, but this boy needs your protection. You need to lead him to do good things."
"Why should I?" I whined.
"Because," he says, "Your father said he would decoronize you."
I gasped. My father? Was he really able to take my title away?
"Please understand Minyoung," he said, "This is something he had to do as a king. As a father, he is very sorry."
I sighed in defeat.
"Here," he said handing me a phone, "This phone has apps that specially keeps you updated about Choi Minho."
He pointed at some of them and told me what they did. After that, he wished me good luck and left.
I opened the app disguised as Google Maps. I see a red dot at a place that says home.
I go to sleep that night wondering if he did what those other guys wanted him to do.
The next day i confronted him about it.
"Didn't I tell you to stay out of my business?" he snapped.
"I can't just simply stay out of your business!" I admitted.
"You're so annoying!" he said.
"Well you're gonna have to get used to it," I said, "Because I'm you're guardian-"
He cut me off, "Oh no, not this crap again."
"Why don't you believe me?" I said.
"You're crazy!" he accused, "Angels don't exist."
"They do!" I said.
"Prove it," he said, "Let me see your wings."
"My wings?" I said, "I don't have my wings right now..."
"What kind of angel doesn't have wings?" he teased, "Can you at least fly?"
I kept silent.
"You're pathetic" he said. He began to walk away.
And I got an idea.
"Choi Minho!" I called out to him.
"What?!" he turned to me.
"Do you believe me now?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" he said.
"Can't you tell?" I teased, "You're so slow."
I saw his eyes widen when he realized my lips weren't moving.
"Get out of my mind!" he said.
"Not until you accept the fact I'm you're guardian angel!" I joked.
"Are you crazy?" he said.
"You're the one who looks like he's talking to himself," I teased, "If you speak in your mind, I can hear you."
He tried it, "Really?"
I giggled, "Yes."
"I can't believe this," he said, "Can I do this with other people?"
He felt cool. "No. Just me" I said.
"Oh" I sensed disappointment in his respond, "Whenever you need anything, just call out to me okay?"
"I'm not really sure I can trust you," he said.
"I should be the only person you trust the most," I said, "Because-"
He cut me off again, finally admitting it, "You're my guardian angel."
