"Why are you here Minho?" he shut the door and I turned to face him.

"I already knew you were getting married," he said, "But to him?!"

"I didn't choose him, Minho," I said, "Life just has a way."

"You can't get married," he protested.

"Why not?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"The other night," he cleared his throat, "When you kissed me..."

"It didn't mean anything," I lied.

His eyes widened, "What?"

"I only kissed you because I thought it would change your mind," I forced it all out, "But since you still want war. You'll get your war."

"I don't believe you" he frowned, "You love me don't you?"

Yes. "What makes you think that?" I smirked.

"This" he gripped my shoulders and gently placed his lips on mine.

Minho, I'm so sorry. I felt tears my traitorous tears fall down my face.

I tentatively reached up and pulled away from Minho.

Slap!

He looked at me with startled eyes. 

"I-I'm with Taemin now," I said, "Please don't look for me anymore."

"I don't believe you," he said.

I looked into his eyes, "Leave."

"Suho was right," he said coldly his eyes turning red, "My father was right."

I felt my eyes widen in disbelief, "Minho, no..."

"You never cared about me! You just wanted me on your side!" he spat out, "Well I'm done being Mr.Nice Guy, Minyoung."

"Minho please! Listen!" I begged.

He yanked the door open and pulled Taemin in by the collar, "Remember this face. It will be the one that destroys you."

Taemin didn't flinch, "I'm pretty sure it will be otherwise."

Minho smiled a witty smile and left.

I felt my legs tremble and then I hit the floor.

"Minyoung!" Taemin was at my side instantly, "Are you okay?"

I nodded and continued sobbing.

"I know you don't love me," he held my hands, "But I promise to make you happy."

I felt bad for Taemin. He didn't deserve this. I didn't deserve him.

What kind of a fiancee was I to cry in front of my future husband for another man?

"You don't have to accept the deal if you don't want to," he pouted.

I frowned and ceased my sobbing, "Aniyo! I want to."

"You do?" he smiled brightly. Bright enough to send a small, warm shiver up my spine.

"Yes," I swallowed a lump in my throat, "I think I can grow to love you."

I hugged him and whispered in his ear, "I want to give us a chance."

He held me tight, "Thank you."

A couple of days later, I looked at myself in the mirror.

I was wearing a small amount of make up, a dress, and heels.

"You look great," Gyuri gave me a thumbs up.

"You think so?" I said, "It's not too much?"

"Of course not," she said, "His jaw will hit the floor."

Although it wasn't what I was going for, I wanted to make Taemin happy.

These past few days he's been very sweet to me. Serenading me outside my bedroom window, sending roses, and buying me presents.

My mother came in, "Minyoung, Taemin's waiting for you dear."

I went downstairs and met Taemin.

Just as Gyuri predicted, his jaw hit the floor.

"Y-you look great," he smiled.

"Thanks" I smiled back.

He placed my arm in his and led me outside. 

"Where are we going?" I asked.

He smiled, "Back to Seoul."

I felt myself grin, "Really?"

"Yes," he then placed his finger on his lips, "But you can't say anything. My father and your father's guards are watching us."

He pointed to my mother's greenhouse, "We'll go in there, and open a portal. Okay?"

I smiled and nodded.

He led me inside the greenhouse and shut the doors.

There was banging on the door, "Your highness is everything okay?!"

"Yes, everything is fine!" Taemin responded, "Minyoung and I just want to be alone."

I felt myself flush. He looked at me and smiled.

"You're so cute," he pinched my cheeks.

I looked at my feet as he opened the portal.

He intertwined his fingers in mine, and lifted my head up to see his smile, "Let's go."

Taemin and I stepped through and arrived at a busy street.

"Yah!" I scolded him, "How could you be so careless? What if someone saw us?"

He laughed, "I would have taken full responsibility. You don't have to worry anymore."

He rubbed his knuckles against my cheek and I felt butterflies in my stomach.

Taemin and I watched a romantic comedy about a cop and a reporter who had to work together.

We then ate dinner at a nearby restaurant.

There was this couple sitting next to us. It seemed the girl was getting pretty bored with her date because she kept making googely eyes at Taemin.

I frowned at her, but she didn't notice.

Taemin looked at me, and saw her, "Everything okay?"

I smiled mischievously, "Of course! Open up."

I hovered a piece of meat outside Taemin's mouth, until he ate it.

He then did the same to me.

I smiled at him warmly and chewed my food.

He then leaned over and got really close to my face.

I stopped chewing and stared at him wide-eyed.

"You're jealous aren't you?" he chuckled.

I felt my face flush.

He pinched my cheek again, "You're so cute!"

A while later Taemin and I were strolling arm in arm eating ice cream.

"Are you having a good time?" he asked.

I smiled and nodded, "Yes."

"Good," he said.

I don't know why, but I felt like it.

I tip-toed and kissed Taemin on the cheek.

"What was that for?" he smiled shyly at me.

"Thank you," I said sincerely.

Taemin suddenly yanked me towards him and kissed me.

When he pulled away he kept his forehead against mine, "No Minyoung. Thank you."

I felt my face get as red as a tomato.

"Your highness!" Taemin and I were startled by a booming voice.

A tall man approached us.

"Crap," I heard Taemin mutter.

"What's wrong?" I asked feeling worried.

He looked at me and smiled, "They found us."

The man approached us, "You're parents have been worried sick."

He glared at me and I flinched a little.

Taemin put a protective arm around me, "That's enough. Take us home."

The man nodded and opened a portal.

We quickly went in and arrived at my house.

"Minyoung!" my mother embraced me and checked my face for bruises, "I've been worried sick!"

"Umma, I'm fine," I said, "Taemin and I were on a date."

"Nobody said you could leave the kingdom!" my father yelled at me.

"Appa!" I argued, "You seriously can't expect me to stay her all the time! I'm not a prisoner!"

"Please don't yell at Minyoung," Taemin spoke to my father, "I take full responsibility for what I've done."

"Taemin, dear," my mother spoke to him, "You're parents have been worried for you. You should go see them."

Taemin looked at me before he left. I nodded and assured him I'd be okay.

When he was gone, my father had nothing left to say other than, "Go to your room."

I stormed to my room and slammed the door shut.

I threw myself on my bed and closed my eyes.

Pictures of Minho filled my thoughts.

No, Minyoung. Taemin doesn't deserve this. Forget him.

Gyuri's head popped in from the door, "You okay?"

"I dunno," I huffed.

She walked towards me and layed down beside me, "You're parents were only worried. Don't be upset."

"It's not them," I sighed.

"Is it Taemin?" she asked, "Did he do something you didn't like?"

"No. That's exactly what's wrong," I sighed, "Taemin is really nice. He's perfect. Any girl would love to marry him. He even kis-"

I stopped myself but it was too late. 

Gyuri stared at me with her jaw open, "You kissed?! Oh my gosh! Did you like it?!"

I frowned slightly and confessed, "Yes. I did."

She frowned skeptically, "You don't look like you enjoyed it."

"That's because no matter how hard I try. Not even after coming to terms with my true feelings towards Taemin," I sighed and continued, "Am I able to forget about Minho."

"It's okay," she my hair, "Just listen to your heart."

A while later, we heard something hit my bedroom window.

"What was that?" I asked.

She shrugged and walked to the window. 

She then smiled widely, "I think you should see this!"

I frowned in confusion and walked over to her.

I looked outside and smiled too.

Taemin was smiling up at me. He waved for me to come down.

"I'll be right back," I told her.

I sneaked outside and met Taemin at the garden.

"Did your parents scream at you?" he placed my arm in his and we strolled around.

"Not really," I said, "What about yours?"

"My punishment is that I'll have to train for longer periods each day," he pouted, "I won't be able to see you as much."

I felt my heart sink and a bit of relief at the same time, "Oh."

"It won't be long until the guards notice I'm not there," he said, "So I have to do this quick."

He faced me and dropped down on one knee.

Oh my gosh.

"I know we're already engaged," he began, "But I wanted to make it official."

I inhaled deeply.

He took out a velvet box, "Minyoung, ever since I first laid eyes on you in school, I've been in love with you. You're selfless and generous and beautiful. You're like a beautiful jewel, that I have to protect. When my parents announced that i would be marrying, I was devastated. But then I found out it was you and I couldn't imagine myself marrying anyone else."

He opened the box, "Minyoung, will you do me the honor of becoming my beautiful wife?"
