I woke up the next morning, with no sight of Minho.

I felt my heart sink. Was it weird that I wanted him to be around me at all times?

Probably just my guardian senses tingling.

I've probably been annoying him a lot lately right?

I shouldn't bother him today. 

My phone buzzed and I grew a bit too excited.

Taemin 

I calmed down.

"Yeoboseyo?" I said.

"Minyoung, I need your help," he said.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I have to go Christmas shopping, but I don't want to be alone," he said.

I sighed, "Where are you right now?" 

"I'm home," he said, "I'll go get you at 2."

"Okay," I hung up and checked the time.

It was still pretty early.

I went downstairs and ate some cereal.

I heard a knock on my door.

The only people who know where I live are Minho and SHINee, and if it were anyone from Angelus they woudl just show up.

I opened the door and saw a girl with short hair. It was wet and dripping on her tank top.

"Anyeonghaseyo," she said, "I'm your neighbor."

She pointed back to the door across the hall.

"Oh, anyeonghaseyo," I said, "May I help you?"

"I was wondering if you had a blow dryer I could borrow," she said, "Mine won't work."

"Oh sure, why don't step inside..um," I tried to remember her name, but she hadn't told me her name.

"You can call me Nicole," she smiled.

"Minyoung," I replied.

I quickly went into my bathroom and grabbed my blowdryer.

"Here you go," I said.

"Oh, it's so pretty," she said, "It's white!"

"White's my favorite color," I admitted.

"I can tell," she chuckled as she looked around my apartment.

"Anything else I can help you with?" I asked.

"Nothing else. Thank you for the blower, I'll return it a soon as I'm done," she said.

"Actually I'll be leaving pretty soon, so I'll just stop by to pick it up," I said.

"Oh ok. Thank you," she said as she returned to her apartment.

"You're welcome," I said.

A while after getting ready, I recieved a text from Taemin.

Taemin: I'm outside.

Me: I'm on my way down.

Taemin's car was pretty flashy. It was a red lexus, with leather seats.

It even had that welcoming new car smell.

"Nice car," I said.

"Thanks," he replied, "It was a gift."

Wow, what a gift.

"You must be a really good son," I said.

He laughed at my comment, "I can be bad for you if you want."

I didn't know what to say, so I awkwardly grinned and stared ahead.

We arrived at a store and instantly many girls approached Taemin.

"Would you like a discount for the store?"

"Does this dress suit me?"

"Would you like my number?"

I laughed, "You're really popular with the girls aren't you?"

"Does it bother you?" he beamed at me.

What? "No, of course not," I said, "You can be with whomever you like."

He looked into my eyes a little to intensely, "There is one girl that captivates me."

"Oh, that's n-nice" I managed to say. I could feel my cheeks get pink.

Why does he look at me with those eyes? 

When paying, the unni at the cash register's eyes widened when she saw Taemin.

I found it funny how he didn't even seem to care about all the attention he got.

I looked at Taemin and examined him.

The bruise on his face was gone, revealing smooth porcelain skin.

He had a nice smile. He was pretty angelic. 

He turned to me and smiled, "What are you thinking about?"

"Ah, me? N-nothing," I said.

"Why don't we go eat some ice cream?" he beamed.

I laughed at him, "Taemin it's winter."

He pouted, "Oh, right?"

"What about some hot chocolate?" I suggested.

He smiled again, "That's a good alternative."

After going to a cafe and drinking hot cocoa, Taemin dropped me off at home.

I was about to get out of the car, and then he grabbed my hand.

He looked me in the eyes, the same way he did before.

"Did you have a nice time?" he asked.

"Um, yes," I replied.

"I really like being with you," he said.

"Taemin..." I began to say.

He kissed my hand.

"It was nice seeing you today," he shifted back into his seat and let my hand go.

I looked at him for a couple of seconds and then got out.

Why was he being like this?

I went inside and threw myself on the couch, reminiscing today in my head.

Then it hit me. I hadn't seen or heard from Minho the whole day.

Didn't he worry about me?

The thought that he didn't care enough to call me or text me kind of depressed me.

I wanted to call him, but I was a bit mad that I was always the one who did the calling.

So I just took a nap.

I woke up a while later, and noticed that I wasn't on the couch anymore. 

I was in my room. But not the room in my apartment.

I was home.

I ran outside of my room, and found the chief housekeepr outside my door.

"Princess, your father is waiting for you in his study," he said.

"Okay, I'll go over there quickly. Thank you,' I said. 

I was really happy to be home. 

I knocked on the door of the office, and poked my head in.

My father looked up, and he smiled, "Minyoung!"

"Appa!" I skipped towards him and gave him a bear hug.

"My Minyoung, I've missed you so much," he said.

"Me too," I said.

"I have to tell you something about Minho," he said.

"Oh you mean that he's the son of the demon king!" I yelled.

"You already know?" he looked at me surprised, "How?"

"We were at my place and we recieved a surprise visit," I said.

"You mean..." he looked at me concerned.

I told him the story from the beginning.

"He resisted?" he asked.

"Yeah," I replied.

"That's strange, usually a half-demon always gives up to the dark side," he said.

"Half-demon?" I asked.

"From what we know, only his father is the demon," he said.

"What about his mother?" I asked.

"We still don't know" he answered, "But you still have to keep taking care of him. If anything demon related happens again, I'll send back up. I don't want anything to happen to you."

"I'll be fine," I said.

"And don't get too close to Minho, make sure you have a strict guardian-guarded relationship," he said.

Too late for that, "Don't worry. Where's mom? I'd like to see her before I go home."

"She's having tea at the garden," he said.

I hugged him goodbye and met my mother outside.

"I was wondering when you'd come to see me," she opened her arms. 

"Umma!" I hugged her, "I was just about to leave."

"That's right, you have a job now, you're a busy girl," she said, "I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," I said.

My mom and I had some tea, and then she waved open a portal that took me home.

I noticed my phone was on the coffee table, ringing. I was about to go get it but then I heard knocking on my door. 

I opened it and found a soaked Minho outside my door.

He looked me with glowing red eyes.
