I love you

Memories

Chapter twenty-four:

IU’s POV:

I opened my eyes dizzily.

Where was I?

Oh, I remembered.

Wait. Where was Yoseob?

Was he okay? Did he get hurt? Where was he?
“Yoseob?” I sat up and looked around worriedly.

Ughhh…my head…

It felt unbelievably heavy.

I felt so nauseous.

“Ji Eun ah!”

Yoseob ran into the room hurriedly to my side. My face lit up with delight.

“Yos-“ I was going to call him when I felt a throbbing pain in my head. I grimaced.

“Easy,” He laid down my head gently back onto the pillow. “Are you okay? Don’t move so much, you’ll hurt your head even more. Are you hungry? Dizzy? Tired?” He asked me worriedly.

“I’m fine.” I wrapped my hand around his, reassuring him. “Are you okay? They beat you up so badly, shouldn’t you be resting now?”

“That? That’s nothing compared to what they did to you! Your head bled! Y-“

I gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Relax, Yoseob oppa. I’m really fine. Now that I know you’re okay.” I smiled.

“Don’t you ever scare me like that again! Taking the blow for me! What were you thinking?” He lectured me. “If they had hit you any harder, I’d probably never see you again! Do you know what kind of risk you took? I mean,-“

I pulled him in, giving him a long kiss. I had to shut him up.

We pulled out of the kiss much too soon.

“Am I forgiven?” I asked him sweetly.

He smiled, nodded, and pulled me in for another kiss.

Heaven

Yoseob’s POV:

A few days later, Ji Eun was discharged from the hospital.

I offered to piggyback her back to our house. As such, she was stubborn and refused.

“Ani!” She protested. “I’m fine! I can walk! See?”

She started running, much too quickly, and winced in pain, collapsing onto the floor.

I groaned in frustration. “Ji Eun ah!” I carried her from the floor gently and started walking back to our house.

“Thank you, oppa” She smiled sweetly and gave me a peck on the cheek.

I brought her back to our house, and laid her onto the mattress.

“Now stay here,” I ordered her. “I’ll cook. Don’t move!”

She giggled and rolled her eyes playfully. “Araso, my naggy, bossy hubby.”

“Don’t you mean your naggy, bossy and ADORABLE hubby?” I stuck out my tongue at her.

“My naggy, bossy, adorable and perfect hubby!”

“Since when did you get so mushy?” I shuddered, teasing her.

“You don’t like it?”

“Yah! I didn’t say I didn’t like it!”
“Speaking about hubbies, what about our wedding?”

“Shouldn’t we postpone it? My wifey boo is still injured.” I .

“Yah! I’m not handicapped, you know. I don’t care! WE ARE GOING TO GET MARRIED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!” She started throwing a tantrum.

“I’m just kidding.” I smiled at her. “I wouldn’t postpone this wedding for the world.”

IU’s POV:

We started making plans for our wedding immediately.

We wanted a simple, romantic wedding in Seoul Park, a place filled with our memories.

Yoseob took me dress-shopping the next day.

“We don’t have to do this!” I protested. “I don’t need a dress! I just want to get married to you!”

“I want to give you a normal marriage!” He pulled me out of the house. “That means I’ll get a pretty dress for my pretty bride, whether you like it or not! And a ring too!”

“Then you’ll get a tux! I want to see you in a tux!” I pinched his chubby cheeks.

We walked into a store.

“Get her that dress!” Yoseob pointed to one of the gowns at the window. It was gorgeous.

And extremely expensive.

“You don’t have to-“ I protested, but Yoseob shoved the dress to me and pushed me into the dressing room.

“I won’t let you out until you try it~” He sang childishly.

I gave up, so I slipped on that dress.

It fit like a glove.

I looked into the mirror, curious to find out how I looked.

Oh.

My.

Gosh.

That dress…

It was PERFECT.

It was as if it was made for me.

It hugged around my petite frame, giving me a figure for once.

It glittered, just like snowflakes. It was pure white, making me look like an ice princess.

“Are you done?” Yoseob whined. “I want to see it!”

I took a deep breath, and stepped out of the dressing room.

Sure enough, when Yoseob saw me, his eyes widened, and he started jumping up and down, squealing.

“KYAAAAAA!” He bounced up and down. “MY PRETTY WIFEY! MY PRETTY WIFEY!”

I giggled and whacked his arm lightly.

“Spin around! Spin around!” Yoseob clapped his arms excitedly.

I rolled my eyes and spun a quick round.

“KYAAAA!” Yoseob squealed again.

“Stop exaggerating. It doesn’t look THAT good.” I lied. It was that beautiful. But I didn’t want Yosoeb to have to waste all his money on it.

“IT IS!” He pulled me to the counter. “I’m taking this!” He said to the lady at the counter before I could protest.

After we made our purchase, we went to get Yoseob’s tuxedo.

I have to say, he really did look adorable in a tux. And really really handsome.

After getting his tux, we were heading home when I realized Yoseob was gone.

I looked behind. He wasn’t there.

“Yoseob?” I called out worriedly. “Yoseob ah! Where are you?”

I started to panic, and was almost in a state of frenzy when I heard a familiar voice call my name.

Yoseob was behind me.

“Yoseob!” I screamed as I ran towards him, giving him a huge hug. “I…thought I had lost you again. Don’t you ever scare me like that! Horrible! Mean!”

Yoseob pulled me in tighter, squeezing me. “Mianhe…I just went to get you this.”

He suddenly got down onto his knees, in front of everyone.

“Yoseob ah! What are you doing?” I stared at him with confusion.

He pulled out a box and opened it. It contained a beautiful diamond ring.

“Lee Ji Eun,” He said in a serious tone. “These few months have been amazing. I never regretted the day when I fell down the stairs. In fact, it was the best day of my life. Because you appeared.”

“Yoseob ah! People are watching! Get up!” I tried to pull him up, but failed.

“You gave me a shelter when I had none. You took care of me like we were related, but we weren’t. You were the first person who ever cared about me. You made me feel less alone.”

“I know you’re grateful, Yoseob, so there’s no need to do this!” People were crowding around him, listening.

He ignored me.

“I come to realize that I can’t live without you, Ji Eun. When you left me for that month, I felt so…empty. I need you in my life. I love you, Lee Ji Eun, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”

“I already agreed before!” I protested. The people were buzzing with excitement.

“But you said that I didn’t do it properly and you wanted it to be romantic!” He shot back.

He was right. I did say that.

“Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!” The crowd was chanting.

I smiled and nodded.

“Yes. Yes, I will. There’s nothing I’d like more. I love you too, Yang Yoseob.”

The crowd went crazy. Yoseob swept me off my feet and spun me a few rounds, making me go dizzy with happiness. He slipped on the diamond ring onto my finger gently, and gave me a kiss.

Yoseob’s POV:

The story goes on.

We got married quietly in Seoul Park, as planned, and from that day onwards, she was mine.

All mine.

We started up a real eatery in the city this time, called the YJ eatery, or the Yoseob-Jieun eatery. Ji Eun would cook while me, being adorable and handsome, would serve the food, and sweet-talk the customers. Business was amazing. (It was probably because everyone wanted to see me :D and fine, eat the excellent food cooked by my perfect wife)

A few years later, we even had a baby boy (:

Guess what we named him?

That’s right, KIKWANG :D

And this may sound cliché, but we lived happily ever after <3
