“Mona, he’s here!”

She raised her head from her doodling and her heart literally skipped a beat. There he was in all his glory, wearing a plain white shirt over dark faded jeans, his hair the perfect mixture of black and blond. She sighed happily. She wouldn’t mind it if she die now. She would die happy. Seeing him was the highlight of her boring university life and there was nothing she liked more than to see him smile, even if it wasn’t for her. He was well aware of the fact that he was sizzling hot, but he wasn’t boastful. He seemed... just as shy as she was.

“Go talk to him.” Her best friend, JiEun smirked.

“Oh my God! We’ve been through this since last week! And the answer is still no!” She said, flailing her arms in exasperation.

“But look at him! He looks like a lost puppy!” Her other best friend, EunJi spoke up from beside her. Yes, her best friends were twins. Apart from looking alike, there was nothing else similar between them. EunJi was 5 minutes older than JiEun, a fact she never forgot to mention if ever she wants something from her twin. Mona laughed. Sometimes they annoy the hell out of her with all their bickering, but she still loved them nonetheless.

“I don’t care.” Mona said carelessly. There was no way she was going to go up to him and offer her help. She wanted to, of course, but she couldn’t. Not if she didn't want to embarrass herself.

JiEun sighed. “When will you get over this shyness Mona?”

“Erm... probably never. Oh c’mon. Jeesu will be here soon and he can sit with them.”

“Oh yeah. You know what Daniel told me the other day? He said Simon is older than us!” EunJi gossiped.

Mona raised her eyebrow. “Really? How much older?”

“Four years older.”

“That’s not that old! I mean, Intae oppa is older. Honestly though, I don’t understand why he still comes to uni. He inherited enough money to last him a lifetime.” JiEun said.

“Oh oh, Jeesu’s here! Hey dude!” EunJi waved at their other friend.

“EunJi! What are you doing? If you wave at him, he’ll come and sit here!” Mona furiously whispered. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Jeesu making his way over to them. She groaned. Simon was walking with him...

“He always sits with us!”

“But...” Mona started.

“Mona!” Jeesu exclaimed happily. “You’re here! Finally! Where have you been the past week?”

Mona smiled weakly at him. “Around...” Her head was starting to spin. Simon was looking... very intently at her. Why was he looking at her like that? Stop looking at me, she screamed in her head.

“Oh yeah. This is the new guy I told you about. Simon, meet Mona. Mona, meet Simon.”

She bit her lip and gulped, very loudly which she was sure he heard. She was deathly afraid to look up. She was scared that if she looked into his eyes, she might never be able to look away... Ottoke?

“Say something!” EunJi poked her.

“You know you’re very fair right? Your neck is very red.” JiEun whispered from the other side.

“Erm... Mona sshi, are you ok?”

Her breath hitched to a complete stop. She never heard him speak before and his voice... his voice can put her to sleep, in a good way. y was an understatement. She couldn’t describe his voice in mere words... It was beyond indescribable.

“Your cheeks are very red, are you feeling hot?”

“No, you’re hot.” She replied before she could stop herself. Her eyes widened in horror and she turned to look at Jeesu, who had heard what she said and was staring at her with an expression she couldn't fathom. She then turned to look at her twin friends, with matching gleeful look on their faces. Crap! Everyone heard her!

Ever so slowly, she looked up. She felt like she ought to... apologize or something. Her eyes met his, something she truly regretted. She drowned immediately in those bright brown eyes, thanking the heavens above for such beautiful creation. How can someone be this perfect?

“Yah, you’re drooling!” EunJi tugged at her sleeves.

“What? No!” Horrified, Mona scrambled to her feet, and literally fled from the study hall. What the hell was that? How can she embarrass herself like that? Now she’ll never be able to talk to him, let alone face him! Way to go Mona! You are so good at this, you deserve a gold medal. She stared at her reflection in the mirror, cursing herself to oblivion. She couldn’t even say a hello to greet him! There was no way she could talk to him now. She shook her head. She won’t talk to him ever again. She’ll just admire him from afar... because that’s all she can do without embarrassing herself.

She was on the way back to the study hall, when a voice stopped her.

“So erm, should we start again?”
