At first, _______ thought she was hearing things.

*Did he just….? He asked me out on a…date…*

“So….” Yoseob said & you could almost hear the nervousness in his voice. “Is that a no?”

“No!”

“No?”

“Yes!”

“Yes?!”

“NO! YES!”

“WHAT?!”

“I mean, NO! It’s NOT a no! YES, I’d love that!”

“So… it’s a….” a confused Yoseob, scratching his head, asked.

“YES! It’s a YES!”

“YES~~!” Yoseob said while pumping his fist.

“But….”

“But..” Yoseob’s happy face immediately stiffened.

“I can’t… I don’t…date…”

“O…k~~”

“I just… it’s complicated… Sorry…” _______ said, trying to hide the sadness in her voice.

She LOVED the idea of a date with him. She had ALWAYS imagined what it would be like. It was a wish she never thought’d come true. She wanted this, but she knew better. _______ knew better than to give in to temptations. She knew she has to protect the people she cared about, even if she has to distance herself away from them, push them away. She knew that some wishes weren’t meant to come true, just because….

“How about this?” Yoseob said, breaking _______’s train of thoughts, “A friendly outing!”

“uhhh……”

“Awww come on~~ I saved you, helped you, carried you to the nurse’s office the other time too!! How can you say no to your saviour!?…..” Yoseob whined.

“Wait! You… You were the one who brought me to the nurse’s office?!”

“Yeah~~ So you OWE me!”

With that, Yoseob crossed his arms in a ‘That’s that, NO ARGUMENTS’ manner & raised his eyebrow.

“Uhhhh….” _______ hesitated.

“COME ONE~!!”

“Ok! OK! Fine. Friday… FRIENDly outing… After school….”

Yoseob smiled.
