“Choi _______! Why are you late for class?!” the teacher asked in a raised tone.

“I’m sorry, Ms Park! I’m really, really extremely sorry! There was an emergency! I….”

“Alright! That’s enough. Since you’re late for class, stay back after school & clean up the class, understand?”

“I understand, Ms Park. Sorry again,” _______ bowed apologetically.

“Go sit down”

_______ walked back to her seat.

*Yes! School is officially over~~~*

Already ready to leave, _______ grabbed her bag & was about to head out when her teacher called her.

“_______, have you forgotten? Your punishment….” Her teacher pointed out while holding up the trashcan.

“Oh right….” _______ said solemnly.

As everyone headed out the door, _______ watched their disappearing backs with a frown on her face.

*Damn!*

As _______ was sweeping the floor, she didn’t notice someone coming into the classroom.

“Hey~ Want some help?”

_______ was surprised to see Yoseob standing there, smiling at he r, offering to help her! As happy as she was, she found it weird.

As _______ stoned there, Yoseob had begun cleaning the classroom on his own, wiping the whiteboard clean.

“Ummmm… Yoseob, why are you helping me?” _______ asked.

“Hmm..?” Yoseob turned to face her, “You called me Yoseob!”

“Ah! Sorry, Yoseob ssi….”

“No! No! That’s good! You finally called me Yoseob without saying ssi!” Yoseob exclaimed.

“What are you talking about?!” _______ asked, obviously confused.

“You’re supposed to call me Yoseob, remember?! Are you always this forgetful?!” Yoseob chuckled while arranging the tables & chairs.

“No~ But I really don’t know what you’re talking about!”

_______ got the shock of her life when she turned around & saw Yoseob’s face inches away from hers.

“You don’t remember what happened just now? You know… During lunch…. At the rooftop….?!”

“What do you m…..” _______ abruptly stop, “Wait! At the rooftop?! You mean, it was real?!”

“If you’re talking about the fight, the rooftop, me asking you soo many times to just call me Yoseob… then yes, it was real….” Yoseob said, now emptying the trashcan.

“Then… it wasn’t a dream! But, you weren’t there whe….”

“Oh! I thought you were sleeping so I texted you instead. Kikwang texted me saying that Mr Jung wanted to see me for something so I had to go. Didn’t you get my text?”

“No I di….” _______ then realized her phone had been in her bag. “It was in my bag…” _______ said in a ‘I’m such an idiot’ tone.

“Haha~ Oooh! Heard you got into another fight!”

“Yeah~~ I think your ‘angels’ are in love with me now!” _______ joked, still sweeping the floor.

“You can have them!” Yoseob stated, almost too happily.

“I thought you liked them?”

“Nah~ I just pretend to maintain my popularity…”

“So… it’s all an act? The whole… nice, sunny attitude, smiley-smiley personality?” _______ asked, regretting once she had said it. If the truth was otherwise, her whole outlook of Yoseob would be shattered & she was afraid of that.

“Not all of it…. THIS isn’t an act….” Yoseob said, seriousness in his voice.

_______ looked up & her heart beat doubled looking at a serious Yoseob, a side she’d never seen before & figured was only shown to his closest friends. At that thought, _______ felt happy.

It was silent for a while as awkwardness took it’s place between them.

“I’m done~” Yoseob said from the other side of the room.

Looking down at the broomstick, ______ realized that Yoseob had practically done all the cleaning!

“Oh my god! I’m soo sorry! I’ve been like… sweeping all this time & you…”

“It’s ok~ Glad to help!” Yoseob stated, followed by his all-famous wink, “Friends help each other, right?”

“Yeah….” _______ said, smiling.

“And besides, if you really feel bad about it, how about you make it up to me this Friday? Movie & dinner?”
