Moon Byulyi did not return for a long time and Kim Yongsun could only wandered back and forth in the living room, worried about her girlfriend. She had changed out of the grey dinner suit into comfortable grey sweats, ready for bed. However, she could not turn in without the reassurance that her girlfriend was fine.

Their kisses had escalated beyond what she could permit after their first date.  She had lost herself completely to the hunger their first date after all and they were all over each other like -depraved teenagers eager to have a taste of becoming adults. She worried over her bottom lip, pacing back and forth in the living room with greater intensity.

She was utterly baffled by this new relationship. Before Byulyi returned to her life, she had never craved the need to be close to another. Neither did she like the blood-pressure-raising jokes that bordered on annoying her to no ends, nor did she yearn to claim another. She could not stop thinking of her. In such a short time, she became so important to her. Neither had she craved holding someone’s hand and when she did, it felt like sweet spring had arrived early, chasing away the bone-chilling and despondent long winter. She could remember the warmth in the heart of her palm as she held Byulyi’s hand after the dinner. She was simply giddy with thrill and joy that she wanted to go to the highest mountain to yell at the top of her voice in happiness.

These foreign and potent sensations horrified her—especially the way she could not keep her hands to herself—sent shivers down her spine. The silence in the living room was heavy and accusatory, chiding her for not getting it.

Her pacing grew frantic as she tried to unravel the conundrum that was her feelings as her mind backpedalled to their heated kisses and that final shove out of sheer panic when her mobile rang, as if she was caught with her hand in a forbidden cookie jar.

She knew that she had hurt Byulyi deeply since the latter had lowered her guard. The younger woman even admitted that Kim Yongsun would be her last lover, the only lover that counted.

Her chest tightened uncomfortably when she recalled the way Byulyi had stared intently into her eyes as she confessed, an abiding love confession from a broken individual like her. That vulnerability spoke of her abiding trust in her and she had upset the younger woman.

A cold sinking sensation filled her stomach. The singer did not know if an apology was going to cut it. She was grasping at straws at how to express her contrite. Perhaps, if they just let nature run the full course?

Her mind drifted to their steamy kisses, the heated gaze and the ravenous way Byulyi had stared at her. And that nameless want in Byulyi’s bright blue eyes was so intense and unfathomable like the depths of the ocean that blood pooled southwards. Yongsun groaned, pressing her hands on her plump cheeks. Crap, she could feel that dying ember in the depths of her soul coming alive again. She recalled the way Byulyi had removed her black bralette, basically shoving it past her and was amazed by her curves.

She nearly exploded from the very thought that this beautiful creature was enamoured with her body, hungry to touch, taste and worship her, another level of intimacy. Wasn’t just a pop of the bottle of fizzy stress? At least, that was her first experience with her former boyfriend. The feelings and sensations that Byulyi had evoked was far too much, too overwhelming and too fast.

She pressed her hands to her cheeks hard, trying to empty her mind of these racy thoughts. If she tried to think of Byulyi, she knew that she would not be able to maintain her composure.

The front door of the house opened suddenly, revealing an exhausted and sweaty Byulyi. Her beautiful black lace dress was crumpled and ripped in places so that she had more mobility, like that long slit that she had ripped up to her creamy toned thighs. The dress was missing at least three inches of its hem, revealing her shin when it was once a full-length dress.

Her once sleek and silver hair was tousled wildly, her eyes lifeless. The omega was barefooted, her hands bare. She was a complete mess, reminding her of woman stranded on a deserted island.

“Byul,” began Yongsun worriedly, as she approached the brooding younger woman worriedly. Her stomach clenching at the wretched sight of her. “Where were you?” She kept her tone gentle. Her eyes drifted to her skin, trying to examine them for any fresh wounds.

The gloomy omega simply evaded her, averting her gaze so that their eyes would not meet. When Yongsun tried to reach for her arm, the omega ducked it nimbly, lowering her head in a bow. “I’m getting a shower.” Without a backwards glance, she crawled up stairs, leaving a worried Yongsun standing at the door.

For the first time, the composed leader of MAMAMOO was scared less. The leader of a self-made group in an industry that once declared a death sentence on them simply because they did not fit in the usual standards of a female idol. She had remained composed through rough storms and steered MAMAOO with a firm and delicate hand through it, her members looking to her for leadership. She was a duck, floating almost seamlessly and elegantly on the water, hiding the fact that she was kicking desperately under the surface to be afloat.

She ran her hand through her pink hair roughly, wondering what she could do for her girlfriend when the pungent and metallic smell caught her attention. Her nose flared. Blood. She lowered her gaze, searching urgently for the source and gasped.

A trail of blood commencing from the door up the stairs to their bedroom. It was Byulyi’s. She did not care that it was difficult to remove dried blood stairs from fabric as her heart pounded loudly in her ears.

She chased after her girlfriend frantically before remembering that she needed a first aid kit and that box was in the kitchen. She was on fully automatic mode, retracing her footsteps to the small kitchenette just to retrieve the kit.  She picked up the kit, checked that there were supplies before making a beeline upstairs.

The trail of dried blood led straight to the bathroom. A shower was already on, drowning any sounds in that small, enclosed area. No detours to the wardrobe or the bed. She walked to the wardrobe and searched for her clothes and a towel for her. She could even give her the one she was wearing just to calm her down, guided by her knowledge for caring for an omega.

She knocked on the door and there was no answer. Worry clawed at her heart. She tried for the knob and sheer relief swept through her when she realised that it was unlocked. She opened the door and was greeted by hot steam that erupted from the shower.

Yongsun coughed, steam flooding into her nostrils. Her vision was blurred by the steam, and she could not pick up any scent. When her vision started to clear up as the steam dissipated, her stomach knotted.

Byulyi was sitting under the shower, propping her head on her knees as she hugged herself. Her grey hair covered her face, so she could not read her expression.

Instinctively, Yongsun stepped into the shower to help her up but the hot water scalded her. She winced in pain but braved through it, using her body to shield the younger woman from the rain of hot water. She steeled herself and reached for the steaming hot metal knob to turn the shower off.

Pain skyrocketed through her as the metal knob scalded her hand. She breathed a sigh of relief when the alpha had managed to turn off the steaming shower. Upon closer observation, Byulyi’s fair skin were pink from being boiled alive and her heart ached. She grabbed the towel and wrapped it around her, soaking up the water from her dripping hair.

The brooding omega maintained motionless.

She mentally assessed her girl and decided on the course of action. The ruined and soaked clothes had to go otherwise she would fall ill. She wrapped her arms around her middle and lifted her up, placing her on the toilet bowl.

Her brows were furrowed as she studied her dress carefully, figuring how to undress her. There was a zip at the back and she undo it quickly before peeling the fabric off her body carefully. Her skin was all pink and red from the burns and Yongsun could only a breath and complete her undressing.

Her eyes fell on the black lace lingerie set that Byulyi was wearing and she froze. Byulyi wasn’t Wheein, a woman she had seen as her sister. She was her girl, a woman that she was desperately attracted to and she wondered if she could complete the task.

What about her modesty? She fumbled slightly and realised that she was too worried to have any lewd thoughts about her. With decisive hands, she undressed Byulyi fully before wrapping her with the two towels to soak up the moisture.

She undressed herself fully, throwing her dripping shirt and bra to the pile of wet clothes at the side of the toilet. She grabbed a sweatshirt and pulled it through Byulyi’s head before guiding her arms into the sleeves. The shirt was so large and baggy that the petite woman was swimming in it.

Great, she could live with just the sweatpants and her boxers for the moment. She dried her thick silver hair with the towel lovingly until it was no longer leaving puddles. Using the same towel, she dried her pink hair quickly. The younger woman was just like a marionette, allowing her to act as she wished and her heart was just bleeding from her lifeless state.

The bathroom was too moist for her to dress her wounds so Yongsun scooped her into her arms and placed her on their bed. She stuffed Sunshine into her arms to comfort her first. The quiet omega hugged the soft toy, burying her face into it as she curled in a foetal position.

Yongsun hastily pick up the first aid kit and returned to the bed, the mattress dipping slightly from her weight. She crooned sweetly when she caught that hint of suffocating distress. “Let me tend to your injuries, baby.”

The palm of her right hand had bubbled from the burn, needing medication too. She tended to it first, hating that she was very clumsy with the medicine. The pink-haired alpha straightened her bare legs carefully and winced at all the wounds from her running and those burns. “You silly dork.” She sighed to herself, feeling wretched from worry. With gentle hands, she dressed all the wounds and burns, checking every inch of her body to ensure that she did not miss a spot.

The soles of her feet were the most tortured since she had run barefooted through grass and whatnots. Her legs, exposed by her dress had deep scratches, presuming from thorny plants. The rest of her injuries were simply burns from scalding herself in the hot shower.

She packed the first aid, placed on the bedside table since they would need it again. The pink-haired alpha pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead, tucking the quiet rapper under the covers.

The leader of MAMAMOO now had the time to tend to their house. She put on the white dress shirt that Byulyi had chosen for her, rolling her sleeves to her elbows roughly.

She was brilliant at housework. Besides, housework tended to calm her down.

The soaking clothes needed to be washed, the dried blood stains needed to be scrubbed. The welcoming mat needed to go due to the blood. She disposed of that soiled mat while she put their clothes in for washing and drying.

She was glad that the flooring was made of parquet. She prepared a bucket and began to scrub the bloodstains off the wooden floor, putting elbow grease to clear that those tough stains off. When she was finally done, she rinsed the bucket and mop and stored them in the bathroom.

She looked around the small toilet in akimbo. The bloodstains were already washed away by the shower Byulyi had. It was finally time for her to turn in. They had individual schedules that would take up the whole day.

The lump under the duvet barely moved from the spot that Yongsun had left her. She looked like a little helpless child, curled in a foetal state. Her heart ached as she climbed under the duvet. She pulled the barely sleeping woman into her arms and skimmed a kiss on her head. To her surprise, Byulyi buried her face into her chest, winding her arms around her middle needily.

Yongsun stretched herself so that she

Thank you for sticking with me through this long journey! I enjoyed writing this too. It is a little more light-hearted compared to my other stories and a whole lot shorter per chapter.

Chapter 38: This was such an amazing fanfic! I really enjoyed reading how it ended! I was really sad that I couldn't keep up with the chapters as they were released. At the same time, I'm kinda glad I didn't have wait through the agony of waiting for chapter releases....

I'm glad everything worked out for Moonsun. Yong proposing to Byul with the ring in the piano again was such a great moment! And that we (and Yong) found out that Byul was pregnant! I'm glad that everyone ended up okay and happy :) Thank you for all the time and effort you put into writing this. I really really enjoyed reading it (just like all of your other works!). I can't wait to read more or your work!
