"What are you doing here?" I asked as I get inside his car.


"I was bored. Figured we could hang out and catch up somewhere." he casually says but I gave him a weird look.


"You're being weird." I honestly told him and he was taken aback.


"What do you mean? I just want to catch up with you, idiot. I'll be leaving next week."


It's my turn to be surprised, "Seriously?"


"Yes, so do you want a treat or not?"


"What do you want me to say? I'm already in here." we laughed before he starts driving.


"Why are you alone, anyway?" remembering why, I became upset again.


"Why do you care?" I sarcastically told him, making him scoff.



KARINA's POV


          The meeting earlier was quickly dismissed but that didn't stop there. We have to help the propmakers design and set up the stage first before Winter and I get to go home.


"I don't understand why we have to be here. I mean, we were already assigned as the hosts." Winter demanded and I could only sigh out of frustration, too. "I was supposed to go out with Ning."


"Ah, so that's why." I smiled as I cut colored papers. "If I had known, I'd take your place here."


Her eyebrows furrowed, "Yah, why didn't you say so?"


"I just told you, I didn't know." I said. "But also, I don't want to be alone here neither. I need you here."


Maybe she realised I was right. "That makes sense. I wouldn't want to be here too if you're not".


"We only have each other here. Don't you leave me." I squinted my eyes at her.


All of a sudden, Wonyoung came to approach Winter. "Winter, can you help me with those boxes? It's too many."


Minjeong was about to stand up but I sat her back down. "Yujin is over there. Go and ask her for help."


"She's busy with the chairs." she reasoned.


"Sorry Wonyoung, Winter is busy with me, too." I tried to tell her without sounding sarcastic. I'm glad Yujin heard us say her name and marched her way here.


"What is it?" she asked.


"Wonyoung needs help with the boxes." I "nicely" smiled at Wonyoung.


"Great." Wonyoung gave me a fake smile in return.


Once they're out of sight, I talked to Winter again. "You gotta stop being so nice, you know?"


"I don't even realize I'm being nice."


Is she really clueless about what's happening or is she doing it on purpose? We'd never know.


"If you keep on being like that to other girls, Ningning might get the wrong idea. I'm sure you don't want that, right?"


"So, you're basically saying I should stay away from you, too."
