Chapter 25

Pirates Stories 2min SHINee history au

Tae cursed quietly, he had no time to hide. Whoever entered had already seen him, he did not know if this was the end for him. Whoever entered could be anyone. The pirate kept his back facing the door so that whoever entered could not see his face. "What are you doing here?" A low, familiar voice asked him. Tae did not speak, he continued to scan the desk and noticed more pages that had drawings on them but then a page that was half-covered with other pages caught his attention. As if no one had noticed him, he picked up the same page revealing a wanted poster with the name of the "Fire Dancer," on it.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" The person standing behind him asked again. "I will call the guards if you don’t show me your face," he added, threatening him. Taemin turned slowly if his head slumped, he slowly raised his gaze to look at the figure behind him, who came in and grabbed him at the time of the act. The figure wore light blue colored hanbok, with a silver garb on his waist and a semi-cleared white robe that covered what he was wearing, the person's hair was completely loose, black hair flowing down to below the chest, the bangs pulled aside exposing the forehead. He held a sword in his hand, a sword with a crimson sheath that did not fit at all with what he was wearing.

"Choi Minho," Taemin murmured quietly. He was in the prince's room, who else did he expect to meet? But what will he do now? He has no plan, what was he thinking?

"Lee Taemin," the pirate's name heard from Minho's mouth, made Taemin feel his heart pounding hard in his chest. Why does his name sound so good coming out of this person's mouth? "You know my name but it is still written on the poster, a made-up one?" Taemin blurted out without thinking. It suddenly made sense to him that he was the same pirate called the Fire Dancer, but why was that name chosen? "Choi Minho."

The prince did not answer him and ignored the question. "Something interesting?" The prince asked, looking at the desk behind the pirate. "You saw me in Jeju," Taemin his lips. He watched the prince close the door behind him and walk towards him, stopping at the big bed. "Yes," he replied, "I saw you in Jeju, and you saw me," Minho sent him a small smile before returning to a serious expression.

"Why did you not tell your father?" "That's why you're here? To ask me why I did not hand you over to the person who wants to kill you the most?" Minho looked deep into Taemin's eyes, the same as when they danced, fought, and walked the parallel Jeju streets. Taemin swallowed. "If that's not why you're here," the prince continued without waiting for what the other had to say, "then why are you here?" Quiet.

Taemin took the bracelet off his wrist, extending his hand forward, holding the little jewel to show the prince what he had dropped on the beautiful island he loved so much. "You dropped it, I'm here to give it back," he said. What he said sounded better in his head than the moment he let it be heard out loud. The prince just looked at him.

"You're Strange." "Why is that?" "You're supposed to be a pirate, you're not supposed to return what you took." Everyone told him that sentence but Taemin kept arguing, at which point Minho sat down on his bed. "I did not take it as I stole it, I found it and saved it, and now I am here to give it back to you, returning to the rightful owner," Taemin said.

"But you still wore it on you?" The prince, like everyone else, had the same question. "So that it wouldn’t get lost," that was the pirate's answer.

"Why should you care about that?" The prince asked calmly. The eye contact was still held between the two, neither of them trying to break it. The prince did nothing about Taemin being in his room, even if he was one of the most wanted people in Gyong-Ju. The prince just sat comfortably on his bed. The prince was really different from his father, as Tae had learned about him from all the times they had met.

"I..." Taemin had nothing to say. He tried to think of something to say back but nothing came to his mind, perhaps except from how much the prince in front of him had beautiful eyes, or how handsome he looked with his loose hair resting on his light-colored clothes that accentuated his tanned skin.

"Because you care about giving me back my Jeju engagement bracelet? While pirates aren't supposed to care?" Minho asked. He stood up and walked towards Taemin who tried to walk backward but bumped into the table behind him. The prince took the bracelet from the pirate's grip and raised his hand to return the bracelet to where it was. It made Taemin blush but he did not look away from the prince who looked at the boy's hand in front of him admiring how the bracelet looked on it.

"Why don't you call the guards?" Taemin asked quietly, trying to calm his heart rate but without much success. The could be felt in the air. "Because I have a good reason not to do it," Minho said, still holding the pirate’s hand, but now looking up to meet the younger pirate's eyes. "I know better than my father. I know The Shining Devil does what it does for a purpose," the prince smiled and continued to speak, "and you are here after you have been in Paekche, alone, without an actual plan."

"I have a plan," Tae erupted. "And what is it? If I may ask." "Give you back what belongs to you and visit an old friend." "It did not work out so well for you," Minho grinned. Where is the pirate's sassiness? It was strange for the prince to see him so flushed and embarrassed. "Now you're stuck with no plan." "So what now? Will you leave me here or will you call your guards to take me to the dungeon?" Taemin said with a bit of aggression, still trying to regulate his heart rate.

"I will let you choose," Minho said. He left the pirate's hand and sat back on his bed. He wanted to know what the boy thought of him. He wanted to know if he really fell in love with a man and that man would return his love. "I do not mind you staying here, But I'm pretty sure if I send you to the dungeon something worse will happen. but it is still your choice." Please stay. Even if the blush betrayed that Taemin liked the prince, he wanted to know if it was indeed real or just the tension in the room.

"Do you like me?" Taemin asked without thinking but immediately put his hand over his mouth.

"If I say yes, how will you react?" Minho answered calmly with another question, raising an eyebrow.

Taemin's head and heart were in a huge duel at that moment, he did not know how or why but his legs moved. The next thing that happened surprised him and the prince alike.

Chapter 45: It is so sad that they had to both die. :( But it does make sense... Never would his father ever allowed them to be together. But I'm glad they might have found each other in their future lives... A bit like the drama of the Goblin. :) Thanks for a great story. :)

Chapter 41: Taemin is royalty, nice! Can't believe the king still want to capture the pirates more than he wants to defend his kingdom. I hope Minho will be able to get out and use the help of the navy.

Chapter 31: I really wonder why the King, Minho's father, care more about catching the pirates than defending them from the coming war?

Chapter 30: Taemin got himself a new friend. :P What I got from this story is that a lot of people on the Shining Devil come from high class people who run away from the live they never wanted...

Chapter 29: Wow... Jinki is Taemin's brother! And basically, Minho's dad kept Taemin's dad in the donjon so he could steal the land they own. Minho had help Taemin's dad from being execute. And he knew all along that Taemin had the other engagement bracelet and wants him to keep it. I hope they will be able to stay together. I am worried about someone noticing Taemin's presence and the King's reaction to his presence.
