Intoxicating Scent of Green Tea.
Love at First Bite
Yixing had finally settled into his new home in Seoul and invited Hayoon over, extending the invitation to Baekhyun as well. Sehun and Jongin both promptly tagged along, not wanting to miss out meeting the mystical ex boyfriend.
With bottles of soju and a pack of toilet paper as house-warming gifts, the group streamed into Yixing’s flat as he warmly greeted his guests, showing off his dimples.
"Damn Yixing,” Baekhyun exclaimed in awe. “Quite a place you’ve got here.”
“The company I work for provided the place. They’ve been very helpful and generous during my move.”
“Sunshine do you regret breaking up with him yet? He’s doing quite well for himself now.”
Hayoon gave Baekhyun a blank stare while Yixing chuckled, scratching his neck.
“If shortie doesn’t want him back, I’m taking first dibs,” Sehun interjected. “I don’t discriminate."
Hayoon buried her face in her hands, regretting having allowed Sehun tag along. Yixing meanwhile seemed to have taken Sehun’s comment as a compliment.
“I’m afraid I’m fully focused on my work for now.”
“Pity,” Sehun huffed before winking at the male. “Hit me up when you change your mind though.”
Settling down in the living room, Baekhyun whipped out his phone.
“I’m ordering jajangmyeon. Can’t move into a new place and not have jajangmyeon.”
While Baekhyun ordered, Yixing stared at Hayoon, making the girl feel rather conscious of herself.
“Those glasses suit you,” the male commented. “Frames your soft features nicely. The short hair too. You’ve matured well Hayoon.”
Blushing slightly, Hayoon touched her short hair that reached her jaws.
“I had really long hair when we first met huh?” Hayoon recalled. “It reached all the way below my shoulder blades.”
“Oh yeah.” Sehun nodded. “I remember one time in first year, you looked like Sadako from The Ring in one of the morning lectures. Made it pretty clear that you were not a morning person. You should’ve seen her Jongin, freaked the whole class out.”
“By the time Jongin came along Sunshine had shoulder length hair,” Baekhyun quipped, having finished ordering. “I kinda miss the long hair.”
“They were straight and shiny, like soba noodles, and always smelt like green tea.” Leaning closer to Hayoon and taking a good sniff Yixing added. “You still do actually.”
This instigated Sehun to bury his nose in Hayoon’s hair, tickling her ears in the process.
“You’re right, smells very refreshing.”
“Yah, personal space!” Hayoon whined, pushing the two males off of her.
“So Hayoon…” Yixing hummed. “Who broke your heart?”
Everyone froze in that moment, staring at Yixing as if he had grown a second head.
“Isn’t it what girls do? Cut their hair following a heartbreak.”
Letting out a gasp of disbelief, Baekhyun shook his head.
“I swear Yixing, you really are a unicorn. I can’t decide whether you live in your own world and are oblivious to your surroundings or are actually scarily observant.”
“I’ve just got strong instincts.” The male shrugged his shoulders. “But seeing the absence of a certain person, I can kinda guess what happened.”
Much to Hayoon’s relief, the door bell rang in that moment. Jolting out of her seat, Hayoon headed towards the door, welcoming the delivery man and taking the food from him. Once she returned, she was unsurprised to find Sehun grilling Yixing with questions.
“So what made you go after shortie? Must have been qui
