FoolsAfter moving in the last box into her new apartment, Taehee called it a day. New York sounds like a faraway country, but it has always been a city that Taehee wants to visit. Now she did. The past one month has been crazy. Taehee moved out of that apartment that she shared with Sehun immediately after they signed the divorce paper and she rented to a smaller apartment that is closer to her office. It wasn't satisfying enough, Taehee decided to step out of her comfort zone and venture out of Korea. She has so many dreams waiting for her to achieve, like, taking up cake frosting class, learning a new language, trying out sky-diving once in her life, and many more. But because there were other commitments holding her back then, she couldn't. Now, she wants to live her life to the fullest.
Taehee quit her job shortly after the divorce. And she began preparing for her new adventure - New York City.
Albeit the fact that Jongin was a little concerned about her living in a complete new city without knowing anyone there, he was supportive of her decision. Soojung too. Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Chanyeol's wife, Wendy, were also happy for her. They were completely taken aback to learn about the whole cheating saga and their divorce and they decided to stop talking to the two of them. They were angry and they felt the injustice for Taehee but they were happier that she let go of that toxic marriage.
"You should have told me, Taehee. I will go and rip Yujin's hair for you."
"Yeah! Baekhyun has learned Hapkido for years. He is the best candidate to fight with her."
Taehee got closer to Soojung, even though it was a little hard for her because she was traumatised and she was afraid that Soojung might hurt her, just like how she trusted Yujin but ended up getting backstabbed. But with more shopping dates together, the girls just got closer to each other naturally.
Leaving her friends behind was probably the hardest thing for Taehee when she decided to move abroad. But ultimately, she wants to live for herself and not for anyone else anymore. Sehun and her created lots of memories together that she can never forget, but it's time she moves on and creates her own beautiful memories.
After she was done furnishing her new apartment, she took a video of her new place and sent to the group chat, consisting of the three boys, Wendy, and Soojung. She scanned her nicely-decorated place and her lips curled, this is a fresh start of a new chapter in her life. To celebrate that, Taehee decided to head to the supermarket to buy some grocery and cook a good meal for herself because she deserves that.
Entering the supermarket, she remembered that grocery shopping used to be something that Sehun and she really enjoyed doing. When Taehee walked past the snacks section, she recalled that Sehun would always overload their trolley with unnecessary items like bags of potato chips, chocolates, and all kinds of snacks. She actually had to stop him before he gets too carried away with snacks obsession. Whenever they went on grocery shopping together, Sehun was like that much needed extra helping hand- he would help her to get for items on the higher shelves that she couldn't reach, he would carry the heavier bags for her. But now, she is alone and she has to do it all by herself.
It's not easy to forget those good old times, but she will get used to it. She believes that things would only get better from now.
The aroma of the coffee attacked her when she walked past a cafe near the supermarket, as if the cafe was calling for her. Taehee is never a coffee person, but she went in anyway. She wants to try something ne
