Hongbin still had no idea how he had to handle all of this. A couple of weeks ago, his boyfriend died after he suffered from a severe heartattack at night and Hongbin had cried his eyes out when he noticed that his boyfriend was not responding to him the next morning. On top of that, they were also expecting their first child which Hongbin had to raise by himself. Hongbin was scared when he thought of that, because this was their first child together.

Now, Hongbin was six months along and it became more and more reality that there was a baby on the way. Yesterday, he went to the doctor himself for an ultrasound. Even the doctor knew about the passing of Hongbin's boyfriend and even he felt sorry. During the ultrasound, the doctor tried everything he could to get the baby in frame. But Hongbin didn't matter, he was going to raise the baby himself and he was going to give this baby lots of love and care. Just like his boyfriend would give him. He couldn't help but cry when he heard that it was a boy, because Hongbin knew that his boyfriend wanted to have a son. His boyfriend wanted to play soccer with his son, but now it was Hongbin who had to do that.

Today, it was raining outside and Hongbin had the TV to get some distraction. But it wasn't the TV that gave him distraction, it was his son that distracted him. Hongbin rubbed over his stomach all the time and his son seemed to enjoy that, because he was calm and not even torturing his mum. Hongbin couldn't help but smile, he knew how badly his boyfriend wanted this. Both had a dream to raise a family one day and both were beyond excitement when they discovered that Hongbin was pregnant, because this dream was becoming a reality now. Now that the dream of a happy family has been crushed, Hongbin still tried to carry the dream on by raising his son by himself.

''Your dad would've loved it to feel you move, but he can't feel you anymore. He will never see you grow up. Don't worry, I will keep telling you how proud your dad would be of you.'' Hongbin talked to his unborn son, who he decided to name Wonshik. Hongbin couldn't wait to tell his son how proud his dad would've been of him, because Hongbin wasn't planning to leave his dad out of his son's life. Why would he? Wonshik would ask him about his dad anyways, so there was no way that Hongbin could leave his boyfriend out of Wonshik's life.

So far, Wonshik wasn't such a bully and maybe it had to do with his boyfriend's character. Hong Gi also a very calm and quiet person, you never really knew that he was there. Yet he was a bright person and also loved to be mr. romance towards Hongbin. Hong Gi knew that Hongbin always adored that, because Hongbin couldn't help but blush whenever Hong Gi tried to flirt with him. But now, his surroundings were filled with chills. Hong Gi was gone, gone for good. And Hongbin had to raise this child on his own. Hongbin just couldn't harm this baby when Hong Gi died unexpectedly, he just couldn't. Wonshik was going to be the reason why Hongbin had to move on and give Hong Gi's death a spot.

Wonshik kicked and a wide smile appeared on Hongbin's face. Hong Gi would've loved it to feel this coming from his son, Hong Gi was more than excited to become a dad. Hongbin was also ready to have a family and felt that it was an honor to carry a child. But now, Wonshik had to drag Hongbin through the dark period that Hongbin was in now. He didn't go outside a lot, only to get some groceries and to go to work. He would get some time off when he was 8 months along, something Hongbin didn't fully agree with. Why would his boss let him work for so long if it was allowed for women to get some time off earlier? Or was the boss treating him like this because he was a male who carried a baby? Hongbin just hated it.

Hongbin lifted up his shirt and placed both hands on his bare stomach. He felt his son kick a few times and Hongbin couldn't help but chuckle. If he had to be honest, Hongbin loved it to be pregnant aside from the symptoms he already went through. Even his friends told him that he looked good like this. It wasn't a surprise to them when they were told that Hongbin was pregnant, they were only happy for him. Even his bestfriend since high school named Cha Hakyeon. Hakyeon already had seen such a caring type in Hongbin, so he was nothing but happy for his friend. After Hong Gi unexpectedly died, Hakyeon supported him the most and also tried to help Hongbin wherever it was needed. Hongbin appreciated the help he got from Hakyeon, because he realised that there were things he couldn't do on his own. But something he did on his own, was going to the doctor's appointments. Hongbin knew that he had to do this on his own, he just didn't want that one of his friends was going to be mistaken as his son's father by strangers.

Hongbin felt his son move and he then realised that a tear ran down his face. Hong Gi didn't want to miss all of this, but the heartattack made an end to all of that joy. Now, their son had to grow up without a father. Maybe if Hongbin would fall in love again, that his new boyfriend would become a father figure to Wonshik. Hongbin didn't want to let Wonshik grow up without a father figure in his life. Hongbin wanted both parents in Wonshik's life.

''I'll promise to give you the best life I can provide you, my son.'' Hongbin said soft and recieved a kick against his hand from Wonshik. Hongbin chuckled and rubbed over his stomach with his thumbs.
