So sorry guys I only updated today. It's been over a month since my last update. Thank you for waiting. :') Thank you for thosee who told me I updated in the wrong story. Haha. I am only using my phone when I uploaded and did not realize I was in Strgazer instead of The Brotherhood of the heirs. :D 

Chapter 5
Lisa grew anxious as days went by. She wanted to be excited to finally be part of a clan but she can’t help but feel troubled. After learning Sehun has a mistress, it wasn’t easy accepting that she will be going through a battle. This time, she may need to enter a battle, not by sword but by feminine charms. And Lisa knows she does not have any ounce of charm in her body. 
It’s a losing battle... 
DO saw Lisa sighing as she was stirring the soup she’s cooking. 
“Don’t tell me you still haven’t fixed things with the Commander? I got my faced crushed for helping you talk to him.” Said DO
“You kissed me without permission. You totally deserved that.” Said Lisa
DO winced.
“Yeah well…ummm…I am really sorry about that. I should have warned you.” Said DO. “But then there was no way in hell you would allow it, would you?”
Lisa nodded.
“Thought so.” Said DO. “So… what’s making your face this long?”
Lisa sighed again.
“The Commander asked me to join your clan.” Said Lisa.
“That’s great. Isn’t that suppose to be good news?” asked DO
“I also learned he has a mistress at home waiting for him.” Said Lisa
“Oh…”
DO scratched his brow.
“How come you never told me?” asked Lisa
“For a long time, the Commander did not seem to take notice of you. I never thought it will be a problem. But now…” 
“But now it will.” Said Lisa
DO took a while to answer. 
“She’s my sister.” Said DO. 
“huh?”
“The Commander’s mistress is my sister.” Repeated DO. 
Lisa’s eyes widened. 
“It’s a very complicated situation.” Said DO.
Lisa held her breath.
“Explain please.” Said Lisa
DO took a deep breath.
“She’s been in love with the Commander since childhood. She wanted to be his mate.”
Lisa gulped. The Mistress and Her… they have similar desires.
“When we grew up, she realized she may not be the Commander’s mate. She tried to seduce the Commander so many times so that she could be his mistress at least. The village elders took pity on her and asked the Commander to make her his mistress. The Commander did not want my sister. But my sister is your usual cheery and kind girl everyone loves. So many other villagers begged the Commander to take her as his mistress. The Commander never took a mistress before that. You know him, he likes variety. But he had high respects for the people who asked him, and so he took my sister as his mistress…he did it out of duty to the clan.” Said DO
Lisa felt her chest tightening. Sehun truly did not want the woman… but will his sense of duty come between them?
“Did you also… were you one of those people who asked him to accept her as his mistress?” Asked Lisa
DO bit his lips tight.
“Yes.” Said DO.
Lisa felt dark  clouds coming on her way. 
“My sister… her world is the Commander. She was already starting to lose herself in agony because he won’t like her back. She started to stop eating… she started to do extreme things that eventually ends up hurting herself and others. We wanted her to go back to the way she was… that kind and sweet girl… that is why we had no choice but to ask the Commander’s help.” Said DO.
Oh no…
“And… did it help?” asked Lisa
“When she became the Commander’s mistress… she stopped the extreme things she was doing. She started to eat again. She wanted to be healthy and strong so that whenever the Commander will ask of her, she will have strength to give herself to him.” Said DO. 
How can Lisa compete with that? If  she allows the Commander to get rid of DO’s sister as mistress… what is going to happen to her? Oh no… this is much more complicated than Lisa thought. 
“The Commander… he told me he is serious with you.” Said DO. “He will ask my  sister to step down from being his mistress.”
Lisa closed her eyes.
“I am so sorry… I…”
“It isn’t your fault.” Said DO. “And it’s also not the Commander’s fault. We are all victims of the situation.”
“I will ask the Commander to keep her.” Said Lisa
“Will you be able to bear it? Just the thought of him going to random women was already draining you, will you be able to bear him having a mistress?” Asked DO
“I…I don’t know.” Whispered Lisa
Just the thought of Sehun having a mistress is already a painful storm in her chest. 
“The Commander wants to set things straight with my sister. He wants her to accept the truth of their situation. There is a part of my heart that wants my sister to accept that and move on… but at the same time. I am worried of her wellbeing.” Said DO
Lisa could see DO’s anxious thoughts in his eyes. DO had been so good to her, her confidant. She has never done anything for him and yet… this is how she repays him?
“I’m sorry DO…” said Lisa. “I wish I know what to do… I wish I can say I can just forget the way I feel for the Commander… but I don’t think I can.”
DO smiled.
“I will never blame you whatever happens Lisa. I know you will never intentionally hurt the people who are important to this troupe.” Said DO. “Besides… right now I don’t think it’s within your choice. The Commander will ask my sister to stepdown whether you will agree with  him or not.” 
DO patted Lisa’s shoulder.

Lisa was walking with Chanyeol as Chanyeol was checking if all the things they need are already packed. 
“So… I was thinking of just you know… not go with the troupe going back to your clan… I don’t want to cause trouble.” Said Lisa
Chanyeol stooped walking.
“The Commander will not allow that. He has already given me instructions that your entry upon the clan should be comfortable. I have no intention of disobeying  the Commander.” Said Chanyeol. “Besides, if you’re not going to come home with us, you are going to make a bigger problem to everyone. “
“What do you mean?” asked Lisa
“Umm… well.. umm… the Commander will be worried of your welfare of course. Where are you going? You don’t have a family nor a clan to go back to. You will be in constant danger.” Said Chanyeol
“I am different now. I can defend myself now” said Lisa
“No matter how strong you are, if you are alone, you won’t win. Even the strongest warriors I know needed brothers.”
“You mean the Commander? You mean the brothers who came to fight along side the Wolf King?” Asked Lisa
Chanyeol nodded.
“You see even the strong ones do not fight alone.” Said Chanyeol
Lisa sighed.
“I just… don’t want to cause any problem for the Commander and DO.” Said Lisa
“I know.” Chanyeol sighed. “But it’s inevitable. We have to toughen up and face it.” 
Chanyeol turned Lisa so that Lisa had to look at him directly.
“Remember, we are to face it, not run away from it.” Said Chayeol.
“Careful.” Kai said behind Chanyeol. “Once the Commander sees your hand on his woman, you are going to get hurt.”
Chayeol chuckled as he immediately let Lisa go. 
“He knows I’m mated.” Said Chayeol
“Doesn’t matter as long as you are touching what is his.” Said Kai
Lisa tried to correct Kai
“I am not hi–“
“We know you are… you will be. So stop denying it.” Said Kai. “Hey the Commander is one hell of a catch. So be proud to be his woman!”
Lisa grunted.
“But I am not…”
Both Kai and Chanyeol laughed.
“What’s with all the flowers? Asked Lisa. 
Kai was holding a large beautifully arranged set of flowers.
“I thought you don’t have a mate? You look more romantic than Chayeol here.” Said Lisa
Chanyeol faked a laugh. 
“I just did not have time yet to look for flowers.” Said Chanyeol
“It’s not for a mate. And not even for a mistress… it’s… for my mother.” Said Kai
“Oh… you are a sweet boy.” Said Lisa. She did not know the arrogant cool Kai can be a sweet child. 
“Your mom is going to be happy.” Said Lisa
“Do you think so? I know these flowers are nothing compared to the flowers where she is right now but… I hope she would really like these.” Said Kai.
“Why? Where is your mom? Isn’t she with the clan?” asked Lisa
Kai smiled a sad smile.
“My mom…she died decades ago… when the Panthers attacked the clan.” Said Kai. “She died shielding me from the attacks.”
Lisa gulped as pain and sorrow gripped her chest
“I’m…so sorry.”
“Hey its been a long time but…it’s not your fault. It’s the fault of that traitor family”
“Traitor family?” said Lisa
“When we were younger, the Commander saved a Lion family from Panthers. We took them in, cared for them..  treated them like one of us and even offered a home to them.” Said Chanyeol. “But they betrayed us. They left the clan and when they encountered the Panthers… they betrayed us. They told the Panthers where we were. We weren’t able to anticipate that attack… we did not expect them to betray us…”
Why…does this sound so familiar? 
Why does this story make Lisa’s chest beat fast and grip in pain?
“I lost my father in that attack... I thought I lost my sister too… good thing she is alive and safe with the Wolf King.” Said Chanyeol.
Chanyeol meant his sister Nayeon who he was reunited briefly with in the Wolf clan.
“That family’s sin against the clan is unforgivable.” Said Kai. “But we will no longer have a chance to take our revenge. The Panthers would have already killed them.”
Lisa took a deep breath. A revenge that was not fulfilled causes a deep scar.
“Well enough of this upsetting story. Lisa looks like she’ll cry any minute now.” Said Chanyeol
Kai laughed.
“Lisa? Crying? Now that I haven’t seen.” Said Kai
Lisa snorted.
“Will NEVER see!” corrected Lisa.

Lisa gulped as their entire troupe descended the mountain. Sehun’s clan is just at the foot of the mountain. Upon their descent, a warrior join them. It seems he was guarding the clan from that far of a radius.
“How are you Chen?” asked Sehun
“Still the best.” Said Chen
The other warriors snorted.
“How’s the clan? Any news?” Sehun asked 
“There has been talks of when you were coming back. Although we are able to protect the clan while you were away, the clan still feels unsafe without you around. They want to ask you to stay for good. The elders have been gathering around and talking among themselves how they are going to convince you.” Said Chen
“I have a goal I need to fulfill and until I fulfill that, I can not stay.” Said Sehun. He then turned and saw Lisa looking curiously at Chen as if he’s a suspicious person.
“But now… I may perhaps be also considering… staying…” said Sehun.
Chen’s eyes widened in surprise. He looked round to see if everyone else got surprised like him. But it astounded him that none of the others looked the least bit shock by Sehun’s revelation except the tiny boy walking too close to him, looking keenly on him.
“Have you never seen anyone as good looking as me, boy?” asked Chen. “You better get used to it.”
“You are not good looking. And I am not a boy. Name’s Lisa.” Said Lisa, a bit irritated.
“Oh?” Chen looked at Lisa from head to foot. “Well actually… if I look at you closely… you do look female…”
“That’s the last time you will look at her for more than a second, Chen.” Said Sehun
Chen was taken aback.
Kai lifted his finger to his nose gesturing for Chen to use his nose. Chen did not immediately get Kai’s point. But as the girl move in front of him and walked on, the wind caught a scent that made Chen move two steps back. Chanyeol and the rest of the men did not hide their grins and smirks. 
“The Commander?” Chen mouthed so that only Kai and Chanyeol would know what he said.
Kai nodded.
“But How?” Chen mouthed again.
Chanyeol chuckled. 
“That detail was not shared with us.” Said Chanyeol. “Just make sure you keep distance.”
“But I am mated!” said Chen
“That does not matter.” Said Sehun as if he heard the entire conversation. “As long as you are male, you stay away.”
Chen gulped
Kai gave him an I TOLD YOU SO look. 
“What does that mean?” asked Lisa. “What are you talking about?”
“You.” Said Sehun. “That you are mine.”
Lisa felt all her blood went to her face. She wanted to hide in embarassment!
Chen laughed.
“Well then welcome to the clan, Lisa. “ Said Chen. 
Lisa hesitantly nodded and smiled back.

The entire Lion territory looked so different. Not that Lisa remembers many things… but the image of what was in her childhood is so different from what she’s seeing now. Back then everything looks warm and cozy… but now the houses looked a bit too stoned… too cold.. 
“You all right?” asked DO
“Just…nervous I guess.” Answered Lisa
DO nodded.
Everyone went out of the house when Chen shouted that the Commander is back. There were cheers and lots of hugs. A beautiful woman came running and hugged Chanyeol tight, she kissed him so passionately, Lisa had to look away blushing. When Chanyeol and the woman finally parted, Chanyeol faked a laugh and introduced the woman to Lisa.
“My Mate, Rose.” Said Chanyeol.
“Hi, I meet you finally.” Said Lisa.
“Hi” Rose said. “You must be Lisa. I heard so much about you.”
Rose held Lisa’s hand.
“Welcome. You must be tired and hungry from the journey.” Said Rose
“Indeed we are.” Said Sehun. “Rose can you take Lisa with you in your house first. If you can extend your hospitality to her…”
“Of course I will Commander.” Said Rose, smiling. 
“Thank you. I want Lisa to stay here in the clan but I have to talk to the elders first. And I need to prepare a place for her.” Said Sehun
“There is a spare room in the house. Lisa can have it.” Said Rose
Chanyeol nodded.
Sehun went to Lisa and touched her hand. Lisa was startled that the Commander would touch her so intimately in front of others.
“It will only be for a little while, I promise. I will… settle things first. It will not take long.” Said Sehun
Lisa tried to pull her hand away. This is the Lion clan… everyone supports the Commander’s relationship with DO’s sister. If they see the Commander holding her hand…
“I am fine. Rose seems to be a kind person.” Said Lisa. “I will be happy to stay with them.”
Sehun tightened his hold on Lisa’s hand.
“It will only be for a while, woman. Remember that. That house is temporary. Your place is with me.” Said Sehun
Lisa gulped. Did the Commander actually say that out loud? Oh no! How embarrassing! Everybody heard it! 
“Start getting used to this.” Said Sehun. “We’re only just starting.”

Sehun immediately went to meet the  elders, reporting how the mission went. It was a success. Now that all the treasures are collected, they only need to find the Eastern Elder who has the sole right to declare the king of the east.
“It will not be easy. That man had been missing for centuries.” Said one of the elders. “Our clan has been trying to find a trace of him to no avail.”
Sehun gritted his teeth. He is so close to the throne. He can’t let this information hinder his plans. So many people had already sacrificed their lives. 
“I will not stop until the elder is found.” Said Sehun
“Will the other clans bow to you after you are ordained king by the eastern elder? What if the younger clan leaders no longer adhere to traditions? What if they rebel because thy no longer believe in ancient Rites?” asked another Elder
“Then we will have to hit them so they won’t have a choice but to bend their knees.” Said Sehun. “I live and breathe to succeed. There is no other outcome that is acceptable.”
Everyone went silent.
“We will follow your lead.” Said an elder. “You have been a king to us anyway. Nothing will change. We will support you.”
Sehun nodded.
“I know you are always behind me.” Said Sehun
Sehun looked at Chanyeol and took a deep breath.
“There is another matter I wish to discuss “ said Sehun. “And I also hope you would support me on this.”
Everyone waited for Sehun to continue.
“I wish to free Hwasa from being my mistress.” Said Sehun
There were gasps.
“From the beginning, you all knew I only see her as a sister and no matter what already transpired between us, my feelings for her has not changed. Now that I am back… I want to free her. That is the right thing to do… especially now that I have found a woman I can’t seem to let go.” Said Sehun. 
There were whispers as the elders talked among themselves.
“It will not be easy. Hwasa is very much attached to you.” Said an elder. “Even if you free her… she may not want to be free.”
“Right now, I want the clan to accept the woman I brought with me with open arms. While Hwasa is my mistress, my woman will have no place in the clan. She is with me, she will stay beside me. I will not allow anyone in this clan to mistreat her.” Said Sehun. 
“Are you going to make her your mistress? Does that show that you will just easily throw Hwasa away after finding another woman?” asked an elder
“I’ve been away for years without calling Hwasa a single time. I think the clan knows this is not sudden, this was not easy considering I waited years before I finally decided to do the right thing. “ said Sehun
“Is this woman … is she your mate?” asked another elder.
Sehun saw Chanyeol sigh.
“You know it takes time before a Lion knows for certain whether a female is his mate or not. “ Said Sehun. “But I can tell you that I feel very possessive of her. That is why… it is my hope that no one would test my patience when it comes to this matter.”
The elders looked stunned at Sehun’s clear threat.
“Of course our support is on you but… that girl has been the belle of the clan. She’s been kind to everyone. The sympathy of the people… will be on her.” Said an Elder
“I do not wish for my female to feel any rejection in my own clan. If you need to make this clear to each member of this clan, do so. She is to be treated with respect and acceptance. I will take care of whatever future need Hwasa may have. She will be given a house of her own and I will make sure that any man who will claim her is decent and will take care of her.” Said Sehun. “But no one will force me to keep her beside me at the expense of the woman I… I care about.”
There was a long moment of silence.
“I’m sure everything will be well, Commander.” Said Chanyeol. “Our Elders are very influential in this clan. They can help you to convince the people to support you.”
“Of course.” Said Sehun. “I trust this board of Elders with my life.”
An elder then spoke.
“We are grateful for your leadership, Commander. We will support you regarding this matter.”

The instant Lisa entered Rose’s house, she felt something grab her waist. When she looked up, she saw a child hugging her tightly around her  waist. Rose laughed behind Lisa.
“That’s my daughter. She’s seven.” Said Rose
The child looked up and immediately let Lisa go when she realized her mistake.
“Oh, sorry. I thought you’re my mother.” Said the child.
“Oh… I thought you always give that kind of very warm welcome around here.” Said Lisa
The child smiled.
“Who is she mother? Why does she look like a boy but her voice is like a woman?” asked the child
