Pt. 12
My Hate Towards You"Chanyeol!" The said male turned to see Kyungsoo running over to him.
"Kyungsoo?" Chanyeol questioned, "What's wrong?"
"Have you seen Baekhyun anywhere?" He asked, his round eyes meeting the taller's.
"His dad came to take him home a couple days ago." Chanyeol replied.
"Oh," Kyungsoo looked down, disappointed he didn't get to him in time.
"Wait, where are you going?" Kyungsoo asked, looking at Chanyeol's packed bags.
"My mum wants me home," Chanyeol sighed, "our cat died."
"I'm sorry, Chanyeol." Kyungsoo frowned.
"It's alright, he always bit and scratched me every chance he got." Chanyeol chuckled to lighten the mood.
"I'll be back when the break is over." Chanyeol forced a smile, "Have a nice Christmas."
"You too." Kyungsoo sighed, watching him exit the castle.
...
Chanyeol got off the train, his shoes crunching on the snow shower that just finished, leaving behind a blanket of whiteness in his home town and the bitter coldness that nipped at his cheeks and nose.
His eyes fell on the familiar figure of his mother waiting for him at the train station, "Hi, mum." He forced a smile, noticing her sadness, she was the closest one to their cat, Chanyeol was convinced she loved the thing more than him and his father.
"He was old mum, it was his time to go." Chanyeol sighed, as she dabbed her wet cheeks with her tissue.
"Let's not talk about it, how are you, how's school?" She asked as they made their way into the town.
"It's alright, I got second in the potions overall a couple weeks ago." Chanyeol smiled.
"That's good, potions was never my favourite." His mother sighed.
"How's Quidditch?" Chanyeol's mother asked.
"It's great, although I did lose my last game." Chanyeol smiled back to the thought of Baekhyun.
His mum began to ramble on about other things, any topic other than her cat.
Chanyeol didn't completely tune her out but he did let his eyes wander over the town, he always enjoyed the look of it in winter.
He stopped at the familiar figure in one of the sweet shops, he could of sworn his face was badly bruised, his injuries from the Quidditch were basically all cleared up the last time he saw him.
"Chanyeol." His mother called out to her son, noticing him stopping in his tracks, "You can get sweets another time."
Chanyeol turned back to his mum, quickening his pace, telling himself it was probably the lighting from the shop playing tricks on him.
They were in their street, Chanyeol couldn't shake the feeling of something not being right. He handed his bags to his mum, "I'll be right back."
"Chanyeol-" His mother sighed, watching her son rush out from their street.
...
Baekhyun was doing anything to get out of that dreaded house, even if it was just for a quick trip down to the t
