"Please accept my deepest condolences Joohyun-Shi."

"I am very sorry for your loss."

Those were all what Joohyun heard after Seungwan died. They didn't understand that she doesn't need those meaningless exchanges. She just needed Seungwan. Her kind and gentle Seungwan. Why of all people, did it have to be Seungwan? Seungwan didn't deserve that, no. She didn't deserve to die when she tried to save that child from the truck.

"You have to move on Joohyun-ah." was what her family and friends told her. They didn't understand that she didn't just lose Seungwan, she lost her sight too. Seungwan was her light, her warmth, her universe.  Without her, everything seemed so dark. The coldness seeping into her veins. She couldn't stop it, not without her sun by her side,

Seungwan haunted her. She could see Seungwan's shadow everywhere. In the kitchen, on the couch, at the door and in their bedroom. Seungwan was always there with that warm smile.  She always tried reaching out for them, just before she could touch them, Seungwan would always disappear. But Joohyun never stopped reaching out.

Joohyun felt cold because she understood. Those were just fragments of her memories, those burned into her mind. Seungwan's traces that stained her bed, every corner of their house and her heart. 

"Seungwan-ah! I'm hungry" she said. Seungwan would immediately rush to her. No matter what she wanted, Seungwan always catered. Then they would have a movie marathon till she falls asleep. Then Seungwan would carry her to their room and gently place her on the bed,

"Sweet dreams Joohyun. I love you till kingdom come", Seungwan would then intertwine their fingers gently and embrace her from the back.

So Joohyun waited and waited for the day to come. The day she can finally hold Seungwan again.

"I've been waiting for you Wan." Joohyun said as she slowly reached for the other figure's hand.

"Why didn't you move on Hyun?" Seungwan question Joohyun with a melancholic smile.

"Because my love is yours to keep." 

Love you till kingdom come.
