It was a 15 minute drive to Himchan’s and Jongup’s place. Jongup was the one to answer the door when I rang the doorbell. “Hey D-,” His eyes widened at the sight of Youngjae and immediately let me inside his home shutting and locking the door behind me.

“You can rest him on the couch.” Jongup said, leading me into the family room where Himchan was sitting down reading a book. I did what the Alpha said and gently rested Youngjae on the couch.

Himchan quickly stood up and slipped a soft pillow under Jae’s head. “Jongup get a heating pad from the kitchen.” Himchan instructed. Jongup nodded and walked into the kitchen.

“You should sit down.” Himchan advised.

I nodded and sat down in an armchair. At that moment Hyuk and Hongbin came running downstairs. “Hey Daehyun where’s You-,” Hyuk cut Hongbin off by pointing down towards the couch. The werewolf looked down to where the hybrid was pointing and his eyes grew wide.

The two quietly walked around the couch and sat down on the ground, wanting to know what happened.

Nobody said a word, waiting for Jongup to return.

“What happened?” Himchan was the first to ask when Jongup entered. The elder vampire gently placed the heating pad on Jae’s forehead. “The hex hunters came to our apartment and attacked Youngjae. They somehow found out that he was a vampire.” I explained.

“And they didn’t know you were on too?” Himchan questioned.

I shook my head.

“What did they do to him?” Jongup asked, staring at his best friend. “I don’t know, they injected something in him to knock him out.” I said stressfully.

“See this is why we should’ve had a meeting bef-,” “Himchan.” Jongup cut the elder off. “Now really isn’t a good time for that.”

Himchan shut his mouth, nodding in understanding.

Just then Jaehwan and Taekwoon appeared in the middle of the room. “Taekwoon is here to help.” Was all Jaehwan said. His tears were gone but he was still in a state of shock and fear.

The two walked over to the unconscious vampire. Taekwoon removed the heating pad from Youngjae’s forehead and gently put it on his chest. “Carefully open his mouth.” He instructed in his soft spoken voice. Jaehwan did as he was told and gently pinched Youngjae’s nose with one hand and carefully pulled Youngjae’s bottom jaw with the other hand, parting his lips.

Then Taekwoon pulled out a small bottle with blue liquid in it and poured a few drops in Youngjae’s mouth. Taekwoon then slowly propped Youngjae’s head up so he could swallow. He laid him back down before standing up.

“Nothing happened.” I said, seeing that Youngjae looked the same.

“That potion only takes away the damaging effects of whatever was injected in him. So, he’ll be fine when he wakes up. Except, he may be slightly dazed at first.” Taekwoon explained professionally.

“We could’ve done that.” I grumbled under my breath. “When will he be up again?” Hyuk asked. “In a few hours.” Taekwoon answered.

“Thank you so much Taekwoon.” Jaehwan thanked gratefully.

I noticed the Taekwoon guy slightly smile before returning to his poker face saying, “I didn’t do much.” I raised an eyebrow at this.

“Lord Junghyuk and Lady Mina want you home tonight.” Taekwoon informed the human.

“I-I don’t want to. I’m staying with Youngjae from now on…until all of this is over. Then I’ll go back home.” Jaehwan said. “Jaehwan they’re your guardians.” Taekwoon gritted through his teeth.

“Youngjae’s my brother! My only family! I don’t want to be away from him at a time like this.” Jaehwan protested his eyes getting teary again.

Taekwoon sighed, nodding in understanding. “I’ll tell them that then.” He said, not bothering to look at the younger. And with that he vanished. Jaehwan just frowned, but sat on the floor near Youngjae.

I looked at Jongup, who looked back at me, we both saw the same thing and shared the same suspicion. “You don’t plan on going back to the apartment do you?” Himchan questioned.

“Of course not.” I said.

“Good. You guys can stay here for now until it’s time for us to leave. We have another guest room for you to use. I’ll go with you to get your stuff tomorrow.”

I couldn’t help but smile, “Thanks. I really appreciate it.”

“That’s what clans are for.” Himchan said flashing a warm smile.

“Yeah, and Jaehwan can stay in either Hyuk’s or Hongbin’s room in case you and Youngjae want to be…alone.” Jongup winked earning a random pillow thrown at his head. “Yah!” Himchan spat. “What?” Jongup said innocently. The elder just shook his head.

“We should probably take Youngjae to the room now, so he can rest in peace and quiet.” Hongbin suggested. “That’s a good idea.” I said standing up. “I’ll show you to the guest room.” Himchan stood up as well, as I picked Youngjae up carrying him bride style.

Jaehwan and I followed Himchan towards the back of the house to where the guest room is.

“Thanks again.” I said, laying Jae down on the bed, letting his brother securely tuck him in. “No problem.” Himchan said softly, looking down at the younger vampire. “Um…I’m going to get dinner ready. So, if you need anything from me I’ll be in the kitchen.” Himchan smiled before leaving the room.

I turned to face Jaehwan who was sat on the bed close to Youngjae, staring at him sadly.

“Do you want to um…hang with Hyuk and Hongbin?” I asked him.

“No.” he barely whispered.

He really did look scared from that incident, it happened so fast.

“Are you alright?”

He just nodded, his eyes never leaving Youngjae.

“He’ll be fine.” I assured him.

“I know.” He hugged his knees.

“They didn’t even do much to him, but it was all so scary.” He spoke quietly. I nodded sitting at the foot of the bed. “It happened so fast. I really thought they were going to take him away…or kill him right there.” His eyes tearing up again.

“Me too.” I confessed.

Jaehwan looked at me. “Thank you.”

“Huh? I looked at him thrown off by the sudden gratitude. “Thank you for saving Youngjae.” He said.

I furrowed my brow slightly. That was a strange thing to be thankful for, I mean He is my mate, it’s kinda instinct. “You’re welcome.” But Youngjae is his brother, so I can see why he’s thankful. “I wouldn’t let anything happened to him. I looked at Youngjae. “At least nothing terrible.”

“Dinner is ready!” Himchan called. I looked at Jaehwan and smiled, “Let’s go eat.”

When we entered the kitchen, everyone was already seated.

Jaehwan sat down in between Hyuk and Hongbin. I sat across from him beside Jongup. “Oh~, wow. Pork and rice.” I said sitting down. “Who made this?” I asked, after we said grace. “I did.” Jongup answered.

“What?!” I said surprised. “You cook?!”

The younger nodded.

“Hm, I guess it’s better than having Himchan cook.” I shrugged. “That’s exactly why I learned to cook.” Jongup whispered in my ear. Jaehwan, Hongbin, and Hyuk snickered, hearing him. “Yah! I’m not bad. I made the rice.” The said vampire defended. “Guess I’ll stay away from that.” I said. Himchan rolled his eyes and leaned back in his seat.

“So, I’ve been meaning to ask you guys, how is it living with Himchan? Is he strict? Mean? Annoying? Nagging?” I asked the two young ones. Himchan narrowed his eyes at me.

“Um…He’s nice…” Hyuk answered.

Himchan smiled at this.

“Mm hm…” I said, not believing him. I looked at Hongbin. “He’s…Himchan.” The young werewolf answered. “That’s what I thought.” I remarked.

“They’re not being completely truthful because they’re trying to get back on his good side.” Jongup spoke up. “Huh? What happened?” Jaehwan asked, suddenly curious.

“Um….we snuck out a couple days ago.” Hongbin confessed barely above a whisper.

My jaw dropped, as well as Jaehwan’s. “No way!!” Jaehwan said in amazement. “How was Himchan’s reaction? He must’ve been pissed.” I laughed.

Jongup nodded, laughing as well. Himchan blinked a few times, trying to process what was going on. “You find me getting mad, amusing?” he questioned. Jongup and I both nodded, still laughing.

“I don’t know how this is funny, but what they did was dangerous. Daehyun, you are so childish, ugh.” Himchan said now getting annoyed. “You’re such a Diva Channie, chill.” I said.

“I’m the diva….sure~,” Himchan said sarcastically, folding his arms.

“Eh, I mean Junhong has his diva moments too. Remember when Bang had him locked up. Junhong would get so mad. That was the only time I’ve seen him act so sassy.” I laughed. Himchan chuckled, knowing exactly what I was talking about. “Those were good times.” He said almost sadly.

“Um, does anybody want dessert?” Hongbin asked, quickly changing the subject before things became gloomy again. “Sure. I’ll take some ice cream.” Jongup said.

“Me too, thank you.” I said.

“I’ll have some as well. Thanks Bin.” Jaehwan said. “Me too.” Hyuk smiled.

“I’ll be right back.” Hongbin said collecting all of our dishes and walked away. “Let’s go help him.” Jaehwan said to Hyuk. The younger agreed and the two went off to join their friend.

“So~, what should we do now?” Jongup asked.

“Get out of here before somebody else gets hurt.” Himchan grumbled. “It’s obvious that Youngjae can’t stay here, and possibly neither Daehyun nor Jaehwan.”

The werewolf nodded in agreement. “It’s just strange how they found out that Youngjae is a vampire and not Daehyun.” Jongup thought aloud. Himchan furrowed his brow at the comment, “That’s true.”

“If they found out one of them was a demon then why not the other? Do you think they would’ve came for you later?” Jongup asked me. I shrugged just as confused.

“Now that I think about it, earlier today a few of my human employees h-,” But I was cut off by a sudden scream.

The three of us froze.
