“You guys know each other?” Mr. Yang asked us curiously.
“Hyung she’s going to be our stylist?! She’s an anti!” The jerk said.
“YAH. How many times do I have to tell you that I’m not an anti!? How can I be an anti when I don’t even know who Big Bang is!?” I told him.
“YOU DON’T KNOW BIG BANG?!” The guys shouted except the jerk and Mr. Yang.
“I’m sorry but I don’t.” I told them.
“You’re still an anti.” The jerk said.
“I’m not an anti you jerk!” I raised my voice.
“I’m not a jerk you midget!” He raised his voice too.
“I’m not a midget you girly looking drag queen!” I told him.
“Why you-”
“STOP IT!” Mr. Yang said. “Jiyong this isn’t how you treat a guest!”
“But hyung-”
“No buts. She’s your new stylist now and you better respect her or else. If I get news of you mistreating her then you’ll be on probation. Do I make myself clear?” He told this Jiyong person.
“De.” He replied.
“Guys I want you to report to me whenever Jiyong mistreats Minhee.” He instructed the guys.
“We will hyung!” The panda looking guy said.
“We won’t let Jiyongie do anything to her.” The shortest guy said.
“We’ll protect her hyung!” The tallest one said.
“You can count on us hyung!” The last one said with a big smile on his face.
“Introduce yourselves to her.” Mr. Yang instructed them.
“Hi I’m Lee Seungri. I’m the maknae of Big Bang.” The panda one said.
“Hi. I’m Choi Seunghyun but you can call me TOP.” The tallest one told me.
“I’m Dong Yongbae but everyone calls me Taeyang.” The shortest one said and smiled at me. He gave me an eye smile! He has the nicest eye smile!
“Hi I’m Kang Daesung! It’s nice to meet you!” He told me and everyone looked over at the jerk waiting for him to introduce himself. He didn’t look at me or say anything.
“Ji.” Mr. Yang warned him.
“I’m Kwon Jiyong. I’m Big Bang’s leader.” He told me dully.
I freaking hate him. Why is he even the leader of Big Bang?! Why would they put a jerk as a leader?!
“Hi I’m Choi Minhee. It’s really nice meeting you guys. I hope we can work well together!” I smiled at them.
“You’re so pretty! What year are you?” Seungri asked me.
“It’s not even a day yet and you’re already hitting on her?” Mr. Yang told him.
“I’m sorry hyung but I can’t help myself when I’m around pretty girls.” He said.
“I don’t see anyone pretty.” Jiyong whispered but I heard it. I just glared at him while he smirked at me.
“I was borned in 88.” I told them.
“You’re my noona?!” Seungri pouted.
“You’re Jiyong hyung‘s age!” Daesung said.
“I see.” I replied.
“When’s your birthday noona?” Daesung asked me.
“August 19th.” I told him.
“You’re a day younger than hyung! That’s so cool!” He said.
“I see.” I replied.
“You’re so young. How’d you manage to get this job?” Youngbae asked me.
“I skipped a few grades and was able to graduate college early.” I told him.
“Ah. I see. Wow you’re smart.” He smiled at me.
“Guys I want you to show her around.” Mr. Yang said and the guys just nodded their heads.
“Thank you so much Mr. Yang. I won’t let you down.” I bowed at him and left with the boys.
The guys spent thirty minutes of touring me around the YG Building. The building was so nice yet it had a really homey feeling to it. I loved this building already. The guys were nice enough to tour me around the building. Surprisingly, the jerk went with us too. He didn’t talk to me though. He was quiet the whole time. The other four were all talking to me and I loved them already. They were really funny.
“I can’t believe you don’t know who we are.” Seungri pouted at me.
“I’m sorry. Where I’m from we’re not really into the whole K-pop thing.” I replied.
“Where are you from Minhee?” TOP asked me.
“I’m from Mokpo.” I replied.
“Oh. That’s where Super Junior Lee Donghae’s from!” Daesung said.
“That’s what I heard.” I told them.
“Did you know who he was when he lived there?” Youngbae asked me.
“Ani.” I lied to me. I don’t want to talk about this anymore. Why do I even have to hear his name?
“Ah I see. A lot of girls love him here. He’s a heart throb in Seoul.” Daesung told me.
“I see. Have you guys met him?” I asked.
“De. Whenever we’re on music shows. We see him.” TOP said.
“He’s a really nice person. He always help me when I don’t know what to do.” Daesung said.
“What do you mean?” I asked him.
“When I’m going on variety shows I tend to get nervous and I remember one time when he came over to me to calm me down and gave me advice.” He told me.
“I see.” I told him.
“I heard he’s going out with SNSD’s Yoona.” Youngbae said.
He’s going out with someone? Why does my heart hurt so much? Is this why he forgot about me? I can’t believe he forgot about me because he has a girlfriend now. I couldn’t help but get mad. I waited for him yet he just tossed me aside just like that.
“You okay Minhee noona?” Seungri asked me.
“De. I’m okay.” I smiled weakly at him. “Are we done with the tour?”
“De we are. Do you want to go eat something? We’ll treat.” TOP said.
“Maybe another time. I’m tired and I want to go home and rest.” I smiled at him.
“Alright then.” He said and I bowed to them and walked off.
“Wait.” The jerk said. “Give me your number.”
“Why?” I asked him.
“Just give me your number.” He said harshly.
“Why should I when you’re such a jerk?” I rolled my eyes.
“Hyung. You should ask her nicely.” Daesung told him.
“Can I have your number please?” He said.
“Why though” I asked him.
“So I can tell you what our schedule is and when you start working.” He rolled his eyes.
“Okay.” I told him and gave him my number and walked off.
I finally arrived home and went straight to my bed. Today was such a long day. I can’t believe I’m going to be a stylist for Big Bang. I can’t believe I’m working for YG Entertainment. I need to look up Big Bang and there songs. If I’m going to be there stylist then I should know more about them. I’ll do it later. I can’t help but think about what they guys were talking about. I can’t believe Donghae has a girlfriend now. Why do I feel so heartbroken? I didn’t realize that I was crying. I waited two years for him to finally talk to me again but he forgot all about me. I’ve been in love with him since forever and this is how he treats me. I guess our friendship didn’t mean anything to him.
I took out my laptop and looked up the girl Donghae was dating. She’s pretty and apparently she’s the face of her band. I can see why Donghae is dating her. She’s tall and beautiful. She’s the total opposite of what I am: short and ugly. I decided to look up Big Bang too. I looked up their songs and looked at the info about each members. Wow I didn’t know Youngbae and Jiyong were in YG since they were kids. I searched up pictures of them and they were all good looking. Their songs were good. I liked it so much better than Super Junior songs. I like Lies a lot. I didn’t realize that it was written by Jiyong. I decided to look him up and he was a talented person. I can see why he’s the leader now. He’s still a jerk though. Big Bang’s fans were called VIPs. I guess that’s why he said that a while ago.
After I was done looking up information about Big Bang, I closed my laptop and decided to sleep. I had a really long evening and I just wanted to sleep it all off. I heard my phone ringing.
“Hello?” I asked groggily.
“You know you won’t be able to sleep until this time once you start working for us.” I heard a voice saying.
“Who’s this?” I asked.
“Who else would this be?” He asked.
“Jiyong?” I asked.
“It’s Jiyong-ssi to you.” He answered.
“Whatever. What do you want?”
“We’re going to have a recording on Inkigayo today and we need you to be there. Our manager is going to pick you up in thirty minutes so be ready by then.” He said and hung up.
What the frick? He could’ve told me yesterday that I had to go with them today! Why does he like making my life miserable?! I got off of bed and rushed towards the bathroom. I took a quick shower and put on some clothes and I heard the door bell ringing. I opened the door and saw a tall guy who looked like he was in his late twenties.
“I’m Big Bang’s manager.” He told me.
“De. Give me a minute.” I replied and ran to get my bag and rushed towards him. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s no big deal.” He smiled at me and led me towards the van. The guys were already in there.
“Noona! You’re finally here.” Seungri smiled at me.
“You can sit next to me noona!” Daesung told me and I sat between him and Youngbae.
“Good morning Minhee.” Yongbae smiled at me.
“Good morning Youngbae-ssi.” I smiled back at him.
“Just call me Youngbae oppa.” He told me.
“De oppa.” I told him.
“You can call me oppa too.” TOP said.
“De oppa.” I smiled at him.
“Noona you’re so pretty without make up! I don’t get how someone can be this pretty without putting any make up on! You didn’t even do your hair either!” Seungri told me and I couldn’t help but blush.
“I’m not pretty.” I told him.
“You’re crazy noona. You’re gorgeous. You know if you were part of the entertainment world every guy would line up for you. I think you’re prettier than Yoona. And Yoona is every guys’ ideal girl.” Daesung said.
“Daeung’s right. You’re beautiful Minhee ah.” Youngbae told me.
“You are pretty and I usually don‘t say that about girls.” TOP added in.
“Thanks guy but can we not talk about this? It’s making me feel uncomfortable.” I told them.
“Sorry.” Youngbae grinned at me.
The rest of the car ride went by well. The five of us just talked and Jiyong was in his own little world. He had his earphones on and just blasted his music. He didn’t even acknowledge me. Why the hell does he hate me so much?! What did I even do to him?! Freaking jerk. We finally arrived at the SBS building and we were heading inside the building. I forgot about the clothes and ran back to get the bag of clothes. I walked back into the building again and saw Jiyong in front of me. He walked over to me and put another bag on me and walked away. What a !!!!!! I hate his guts!!!
“Jiyong’s not really like this.” Youngbae told me while patting my shoulder. “He’s a really nice guy once you get to know him. He doesn’t let people in that easily so just be patient.”
“De.” I replied.
“Do you need help?” Youngbae asked me.
“It’s fine. I can manage.” I told him.
“Here let me help.” Youngbae told me and helped me with the clothes.
“Thanks a lot oppa. Why can’t that jerk be more like you?” I said which caused him to laugh.
“You’re going to love him more once you see his nice side. Just wait and he’s going to let you in.” He told me.
“Ani. I will always love you guys more than him.” I told him.
“Just wait and see Minhee.” He smiled at me and walked into the dressing room.
The guys went to rehearse while I took the clothes out of the bags and hung them on the hangers. I was ironing some of the clothes too since I didn’t have anything else to do. After I was done with everything, I headed towards the couch and just sat there waiting for the boys to come back. The make up artist and hair stylist and manager was in the room with me.
“How old are you Minhee?” Sohee, the hair stylist, asked me.
“I’m 20.” I told her.
“Wow you’re so young!” She told me.
“How’d you get this job and what about school?” Minyoung, the make up artist, asked me.
“My professor is good friends with Mr. Yang and suggested that I work here. I’m done with school. I skipped a few grades so I was able to graduate early.” I told her.
“Wow you’re so smart! Your parents must be proud of you!” Minyoung said.
“How old are you guys?” I asked them.
“I’m 28.” Sohee said.
“And I’m 32.” Minyoung said.
“So you’re my unnies.” I smiled at them. “Can I call you guys unnie?”
“You can call us unnie! You’re so pretty!” Minyoung smiled at me.
“Welcome to the family.” Sohee smiled at me.
“How old are you?” I asked the manager.
“I’m 28.” Jaeha, their manager, replied. “Call me oppa.”
“De oppa.” I smiled at him.
“We’re finally done rehearsing!” Seungri said while entering the room and the rest of the guys followed him.
“Alright let’s get you guys dressed up now.” Minyoung said.
“Youngbae, TOP, and Seungri. Let’s do your hair and make up first. The other two go get our outfits.” Sohee told them and they just nodded their heads.
Daesung and Jiyong followed me and I went over to rack to choose their outfits. I handed them their outfits and they started changing in front of me.
“W-what are you guys doing?” I asked them nervously.
“We’re changing noona. This is what we usually do. You should get use to it.” Daesung told me.
“I-I”
“Why are you stuttering?” Jiyong asked me.
“I wasn’t stuttering. Can you guys go change in a different corner?” I asked them.
“This is a dressing room so we can change anywhere we want.” Jiyong said while rolling his eyes.
“Fine then let me leave first.” I told them and walked away.
Why the hell is he so mean for? I walked to where the other three were getting their make up and hair done.
“Did they change in front of you?” Minyoung asked me when she saw my flustered face.
“H-how’d you know?” I asked.
“This is part of the job. You’ll get use to it.” She laughed and the guys joined in with her too.
“You’ll get use to see us changing in front of you noona.” Seungri said.
“Don’t be shy in front of us.” Youngbae smiled at me.
“We know we have killer bodies but we don’t want to scare you off.” TOP teased me.
“You’re mean.” I told him and my face turned red.
“Omo. You’re so red Minhee.” Sohee pointed out.
“I’m going to go get some fresh air. I have your clothes laid out for you already. I’ll be back in a few minutes and put last minute touches on them.” I told them and walked out of the dressing room.
I couldn’t stand being in there right now. I can’t believe I have to see them half ! I didn’t know my job required this! I bet any fan girl would want to be in my shoes right now. I was walking in a hurry and didn’t realize someone was in front of me so I ended up bumping into them.
“I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking at where I was going. I didn’t mean to bump into you.” I apologized and bowed at the person.
“It’s okay. It was just an accident.” A guy voice said and I looked up and saw that it was him. This is just my luck. Out of all people, I had to bump into Lee Donghae.
“M-Minhee?” Donghae asked and he looked really surprised.
“De.” I replied.
“What are you doing here in Seoul?” He asked me.
“I work here now.” I replied.
“What are you doing here?” He asked.
“I’m working right now.” I told him and he pulled me into a hug.
“I missed you! It’s been so long since I last talked to you. It’s been years since I last seen you too!” He said.
Who’s fault is that? He didn’t even make the effort in keeping in touch with me! I’m angry at him for that. I’m also angry at him for having a girlfriend. I pulled away from the hug.
“Yeah it’s been a while.” I replied.
“We should catch up.” He smiled at me.
“I don’t want to.” I told him and he was taken back at my answer.
“Why not? I want to catch up with you.” He said.
“Well I don’t want to catch up with you. I don’t want anything to do with you anymore.” I replied coldly and walked away from me.
“What’s wrong Minhee? Why are you being like this?” He held onto my hand and pulled me back.
“I just don’t want to talk to you right now. I don’t even want to see your face.” I told him.
“How can you say that to your best friend?!” He raised his voice.
“Best friend?” I scoffed at what he said. “You didn’t even try to contact me over these past two years! I know you’ve been busy with everything but you made no effort to call me or see me! You’re not my best friend anymore.”
“I’m sorry Minhee. I want to make it up to you.” He said.
“It’s too late. You’re only saying this because I’m here right now. If I was still in Mokpo then things would be the same. You would still ignore me and not contact me at all. You’re no one to me anymore Donghae-ssi.” I yanked my hand away from him and walked off.
I didn’t want to go back to the dressing room so I went up to the roof. I didn’t want anyone to see me like this. At this point, I felt broken and my emotions are all over the place. I sat down against the wall and started breaking down. I finally let everything out. All the emotions I have held in for these past two years have finally come out.
Jiyong’s POV
After I was done with putting on my outfit, I headed towards the others. I didn’t see Minhee though. Where the hell did she go? I need her to fix my sleeves because it’s too long. I don’t know why but she bugs me. There’s something about her that I don’t like.
“Hyung you’re done changing?” Seungri asked me.
“De. I’m done. Where’s Minhee? My sleeves are long and I need her to adjust it.” I told him.
“Noona wanted some fresh air so she went outside for a bit. She said she’ll be back in a few minutes.” He told me.
“I see.” I said and walked towards the couch and sat down on it and took out my phone and started playing Bejeweled.
I was finally done with one game and Minhee wasn’t back yet. Where the hell is this girl?! I got up from my seat and went outside to find her. I was walking when I saw Donghae holding onto her hand. What the hell? They know each other?! I hid behind the wall and eavesdropped on their conversation. So they do know each other and he stopped contacted her. He wants to make it up to her. What a . After two years of ignoring her, he wants to make it up to her now. After the conversation, Minhee walked away. She was walking towards the roof. I decided to follow her. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the floor crying. She looked broken. I don’t know why but I feel sorry for her. I walked over to her and sat down next to her. She looked over at me.
“I’m not here to piss you off. You can cry on my shoulder if you want.” I told her and she just nodded her head and leaned her head on my shoulder and started crying. I pulled her closer to me and she cried even harder.
How deep was their relationship to cause her to be this broken?
After a few minutes of crying, she was finally done. My jacket was soaked in her tears.
“I’m sorry. Your jacket’s all wet because of me.” She told me.
“It’s okay. There’s another one in the dressing room.” I told her.
“Thank you.” She said. “It means a lot to me what you did.”
“No problem.” I told her.
“How’d you know I was up here?”
“I followed you here.”
“So you saw what happened down there didn’t you?” She asked me.
“De. I didn’t mean to.” I lied to her.
“It’s okay. It’s nothing now.” She told me. “Let’s go back now.”
“Okay.” I told her and we walked back to the dressing room.
“There you guys are!” Seungri said. “Wait why did you guys come back at the same time?!”
“I went to go find her since it’s almost time for us to perform.” I told him.
“Ah I see.” Seungri said.
“Noona can you fix my pants?” Daeusng asked her.
“De.” She replied and walked over to him.
“Why is her eyes all red Ji?” Youngbae asked me.
“It wasn’t me! I swear that I didn’t make her cry.” I explained to him.
“Then why is it red?” He questioned me.
“I can’t say it. You have to ask her. It’s not up to me to tell you.” I told him.
“You better not be lying Ji. She’s nice and I don’t want you to be hurting her.” He told me and walked towards Minhee. Am I really that mean to her?
Donghae’s POV
I can’t believe Minhee is here! I can’t believe she’s in Seoul! It’s been a while since I last seen her or talked to her! Too bad she said she doesn’t want to be friends with me anymore. She’s mad at me for not keeping in touch with her. I don’t blame her though. She’s my best friend and I should’ve kept in touch with her. I want to make it up to her though! Even though I haven’t talked to her these past few years, I still think a lot about her. I could never forget about my best friend. I still consider her my best friend. She refuses to let me make it up to her. I’ve never seen this side of her before. I feel like such a jerk for hurting her.
“Why do you look so sad Hae?” Hyukjae asked me.
“Nothing.” I told him.
“I know you’re lying Hae. You’re my best friend and I know when something’s wrong with you.” He told me.
“I ran into someone who’s from my hometown. She’s my best friend but I haven’t kept in touch with her for a few years now. She’s mad at me and doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore.” I told him.
“Your best friend from Mokpo? Minhee?” He asked me.
“How’d you know that’s her name?” I asked him.
“You sleep talk sometimes Hae. And you say her name all the time.”
“Yeah Minhee. What do I do now Hyukkie? I miss her.”
“Just give her some time Hae. You can’t blame her though. She’ll come around.” He told me.
“So I shouldn’t even bother with her right now?”
“Yeah. Just give her some space and she’ll come back.”
“Alright.” I told him.
“Guys we’re up.” Leeteuk hyung said.
Minhee’s POV
I was done adjusting the outfits for the guys and the guys left to go record their performance. I can’t believe Donghae’s here. I can’t believe he wants to catch up with me after two years of not talking. I don’t think I can forgive Donghae right now. I don’t want anything to do with him anymore. Accepting this job was a sign for me to move on and start new and fresh. I’m not going to let Donghae back into my life again. Youngbae was right when he told me that Jiyong’s not a bad person. I can’t believe he lent me a shoulder to cry on. I guess he’s not so bad after all. The others and I were sitting on the couch watching Big Bang’s performance. They were so charismatic on stage and they looked like they were enjoying it! Their performance was done so we turned off the TV and started cleaning up.
“What’d you think of our performance noona?” Seungri asked me.
I turned around and saw the guys walking into the room.
“You guys are amazing. It looked like you guys were having fun on stage out there.” I smiled at them.
“Who was the best?” Daesung asked me.
“You guys are all the best.” I told them.
“Thank you Minhee.” Youngbae smiled at me.
“Let’s go out for lunch! My treat.” TOP smiled at us.
“Noona you can go right?” Seungri asked me.
“I’m not sure.” I told him.
“What do you mean you’re not sure?” Youngbae asked me.
“I’m not feeling well and I just want to go back and sleep.” I told him. “We’re done for the day right?”
“De we’re done. Eat first then go back and sleep.” He told me.
“Another time I promise.” I told him.
“Just eat first. You need to eat.” Jiyong butted in.
“It’s okay. I’ll grab something to eat on the way home.” I told him.
“Just go eat with us. We want to get to know you better.” He said and this surprised us all.
“Come eat us with us noona. Hyung’s right. We want to get to know you better.” Daesung said.
“Do you not like us?” Youngbae pouted at me.
“Fine. I’ll go eat with you guys.” I told them and they all cheered. I looked over at Jiyong and he smiled at me. It’s the first real smile I’ve seen him smile and I have to say it was the cutest smile ever.
