Chapter 5
Forevermore“Ahh...” Jeonghan rubbed the back of his neck. How was he supposed to explain?
“Well...umm...see...we used to date.” There wasn’t really any point hiding it. Seungcheol would find out sooner or later.
“What?! Why don’t I remember, then?” Seungcheol’s eyes almost bugged out of its sockets.
“Don’t kill Jihoon, but he told me you’re a vampire. You knew you would outlive me, so you locked up all your memories of us. You would rather I grieve for you earlier than later, when our relationship got deeper.”
Jihoon had told him he didn’t know anyone by the name of Jeonghan, though.
“I’ve been friends with Jihoon for a long time.” Jeonghan added, as if he knew what Seungcheol was thinking.
“I’m sorry. I don’t know what I can do to remember you.” Seungcheol looked down.
“Don’t blame yourself. It’s not your fault.” Jeonghan shook his head slightly.
“But aren’t you...y’know?”
“Sad? Yes, I am. But I can’t force you to remember what you can’t. That would be selfish of me.”
“Do you want dinner? I’ll order something.” Seungcheol said, changing the topic.
“It’s fine. I can manage.”
“Pfft. Please, the only food I saw in your kitchen was cup noodles. You shouldn’t eat cup noodles so much, it’s unhealthy.” Seungcheol scoffed. “I don’t care, I’m ordering food.” He whipped out his phone, not waiting for a reply and started tapping on it.
“And...done!”
“Thanks.” Jeonghan didn’t deserve to be treated this nicely.
About half an hour later, after Jeonghan had fallen asleep again, the doorbell rang. Seungcheol thanked the deliveryman and took the food.
“Jeonghan-ssi. The food is here.” He shook Jeonghan’s shoulder gently.
“Lemme sleep for another 5 minutes.” Jeonghan turned over and mumbled.
“Okay.” Seungcheol smiled at him. Sleepy Jeonghan was so cute.
Deciding that he would just let Jeonghan sleep until he woke up, Seungcheol started eating.
“Seungcheol! Why didn’t you wake me up? I said 5 minutes, not 20 minutes!” Jeonghan rubbed his eyes and ran a hand through his brown hair.
“Sorry-you were sleeping so peacefully, I couldn’t bear to wake you up.” Seungcheol managed to choke out. Seeing Jeonghan pull his hair back had caught his breath.
“Nevermind. Thanks for dinner.” He waved Seungcheol’s apology away and sat down beside Seungcheol, starting to eat.
“Didn’t you eat for lunch?” Jeonghan was currently gobbling down his meal. He only shook his head, his mouth full of food.
“Here, have mine.” He pushed his own food to Jeonghan, who nodded appreciatively. Wow, he doesn’t eat for lunch? No wonder he’s so weak. Seungcheol thought to himself. His face lit up as he thought of an idea.
