It's Halloween. Everyone is hyped about the party and so was I until few days ago.

Jeonghan hasn't talked to me at all since that day. He hasn't even read my messages nor answered my calls. I would have altogether ditched the party if it wasn't for a sliver of hope that I would be able to meet Jeonghan there.

Joshua isn't of much help either, he agreed to talk to Jeonghan but that backfired and lead to Jeonghan cutting off Joshua as well.

I end up recycling my costume from years ago for the party and dress as Chucky. The wig is a mess and I don't plan on wearing it for the entire night.

I drive to the location and find that the party has already begun. The house is appropriately decorated for the Halloween and I find a y Elsa and what look like a vampire making out in the bushes at the entrance.

Yeah, I am at the right place.

I mentally prepare an apology as I set out to look for Jeonghan.

I find most of our group. They are dressed impressively. I ask the nutcracker Soonyoung and Grim reaper Jun where Jeonghan was but they had no clue since they were too busy forcing Jihoon, who had lost a bet, into a teletubbies costume.

I look around some more to find Joshua dressed as Joker.

"I thought you were going to be a Vampire?" I ask as I walk towards Joshua.

"Nope. Vampire is too cliché, even for me. There are over 7 vampires at this party. Girls look for something different."

"Yeah, right." I roll my eyes. "So, have you seen Jeonghan?"

"I thought you would ask that, the last time I saw him he was in the kitchen. He is dressed as a zombie so look for half dead people."

"Yeah that should be easy," I sigh, "I'll see you around. Good luck with girls."

"Good luck to you too." He smiles.

I look around the kitchen and see a familiar face. It takes me a while to figure out where I have seen this person before but when I do figure out my blood runs cold.

Minhyuk.

And as I suspected, the person he is talking to is Jeonghan.

I can't help the anger and possessiveness that engulfs me. I walk towards Jeonghan and throw an arm around him, taking him by surprise.

"Seungcheol!"

"Hey! I was looking for you everywhere." I smile at him, giving his shoulder a squeeze.

I turn to Minhyuk who was politely smiling at me and offer a handshake.

"Hi, I am Seungcheol. Jeonghan's boyfriend." I say before I could stop myself.

Jeonghan gives me a look but doesn't say anything.

"Hi, I am Minhyuk. I didn't know you had a boyfriend." Minhyuk tells Jeonghan as he shakes my hand.

"Well, we got together pretty recently." I say, looking at Jeonghan.

"Very recently." Jeonghan quips in.

Jeonghan is playing along but I can feel his anger and I mentally curse myself for doing what I just did.

"That's great! I think I lost my boyfriend so I need to go and find him." He says sheepishly, "So... Huh.. I'll see you guys around? Enjoy the party." He nods in my direction before leaving.

Jeonghan garbs my arm which was on his shoulder and pulls me out of the kitchen screen door to the backyard.

It is surprisingly cold. A shiver runs down my spine partly because of the chilly wind and partly due to the cold look Jeonghan was directing towards me.

"I am sorry." I say, looking down at my hand which Jeonghan had just released.

"Like hell you are sorry! What the was that?!"

"I don't know."

"What were you thinking?! Why did you have to lie like that?"

"I don't know."
