Chapter Seven
He Wouldn't“Can I talk to you about something?” Jin had asked after knocking on his door and Jungkook had nodded and stepped back to let him in, pretty sure that he knew what was coming. He’d been having real trouble keeping food down lately and Jin had noticed. Jungkook had tried to tell him he was okay and he didn’t need to worry but unsurprisingly Jin hadn’t listened, choosing to fuss over him instead.
Jungkook wasn’t necessarily complaining about the fussing, knowing that Jin was there to help him out when he was feeling terrible was kind of reassuring but it also made him feel a little guilty. He didn’t want him wasting his time, fretting when he really didn’t have to. Like he’d said to him at least a dozen times, food intolerances weren’t a big deal, they were perfectly manageable and he was about to say so again but Jin was already talking.
“So I know you’ve been feeling pretty rough lately…” He said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
“I guess.” Jungkook admitted, not sure why he looked so anxious. They’d had this conversation countless times already, it was nothing new. “But like I said it’s probably just…”
“I know what you said.” Jin said, cutting him off. “I know what you keep saying. But are you sure that’s all it is?”
“Um… yeah.” Jungkook told him, not entirely sure where the conversation was headed but feeling apprehensive nonetheless. Jin was giving off an aura that was far too serious for his liking. It was weird.
“You’re sure?” Jin pressed, giving him a searching look. “There’s nothing else you think it might be? Nothing at all?”
“No.” Jungkook said, the intensity of Jin’s gaze making him nervous. What else could it be? He’d gone off so many foods lately, of course it was an intolerance thing. Nothing else made sense.
