Dongho’s POV

*SKIP SCHOOL*

~After school~

“Kimchi-ah…” I started.

“Hmm? Dongho, did you need anything?” of course I need something stupid.

“W-w-ould… y-y-youu…” I was trying to say it but her phone rang.

*RINGG*

“Wait Dongho,” she said. OMG NO WAIT! I need to say it first. What if it’s BongGo?!?!?!

No one’s POV

“Yeoboseyo?” she answered.

“Kimchi-ah…”

“Oh BongGo, what do you want?” (In a friendly way)

“Would you like to come to the dance with me?” Her eyes widened.

“Ehh?” she stuttered.

“Would you like to come to the dance with me?” he repeated slowly.

Before she answered she took a glance at Dongho who was behind her.

“Sure!” well she couldn’t say no, if it was some other guy she could but not BongGo or Dongho if he was to ask her. BongGo is her friend and well she can’t just say no. but it’s not like Dongho was going to ask her… he’s probably going to be with Haera so why bother waiting for him, she thought.

“Ok, cool! Bye Kimchi!” BongGo said happily through the phone. She couldn’t help but giggle because her friends are what makes her happy. If her friends are happy, she’s happy.

“Oh Dongho, what did you want to tell me again?” she asked when she realised Dongho was still there.

“Huh? Ani… it’s nothing” he replied kinda sad.

“Was that BongGo who called you just then?” he asked. Kimchi just nodded.

“What did he say?”

“If I would come to the dance with him” Kimchi said then she looked down.

“But don’t get me wrong ok? I'm just going as a friend, you know who I like don’t you? I like y-“ before she could say the last word she was cut off by Dongho.

“Did I say anything about it?” he hissed at her coldly. Kimchi shook her head. Dongho just left her and started walking home by himself.

~At home~

No one’s POV

Dongho went straight to his room and slammed the door hard behind him causing Kimchi to jump a little. His attitude was starting to make Kimchi a bit worry. ‘Why did he do that?’ she kept thinking. She was starting to get really worry so she came over to his room. She was about to knock when she heard Dongho talking to someone.

“Haera.”

Dongho’s POV

I was so pissed at myself. I regretted it. Why didn’t I just ask her before that BongGo?! ARGHH!!! Fine. I’ll just accept Haera’s ‘invite’.

I dialed her number.

“Yeoboseyo?” she said over the phone.

“Ya, it’s me”

“Oh oppa, annyeonghaseyo, what do you need?”

“Arasseo, I’ll come to the dance with you”

“OMO, CHINCHA OPPA?! JEONGMAL?! “ she screamed over the phone.

“Yeah, so I’ll come over to you place to get you on the day araseo?”

“Ne~”

*FLASHBACK*

“Oppa” Haera said stopping me from walking out the classroom.

“Hmm?” I asked.

“Um… oppa, would you like to be my date for the dance?”

“Huh? I’ll think about it” I said rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly.

“Araseo oppa, I’ll be waiting so call me” I nodded then walked to Kimchi’s class.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Kimchi’s POV

I know it’s bad to eardrop on people’s conversation but I couldn’t help but listen to what oppa had to say. I felt so hurt. Why? Before I knew it I started pouring my eyes out. I covered my ears and ran back inside my room, not wanting to hear more. ‘He likes Haera’ ‘He likes Haera’ ‘He likes Haera’ those words kept on ringing inside my head.

“Andwae, andwae, ANDWAE!!” I screamed. Why was I like this? Why am I so hurt? Why does my heart ache so much? I know I like him but him liking someone else? I have to face the truth. He.Likes.Haera.

~Next day~

Kimchi’s POV

“OMO” Mrs. Shin yelped.

“Oh good morning Mrs. Shin!” I replied being all happy.

*FLASHBACK*

No one’s POV

Last night after the screaming and crying, Kimchi decided to hide her feelings for Dongho. Since she knew now that he likes Lee Haera, she decided to be happy and not sad anymore about Dongho. If he ever dated Haera then she’ll congrats him.

*END OF FLASBACK*

Kimchi’s POV

“Kimchi-ah! What happened to your eyes?!“ Mrs. Shin shouted in horror.

“Ne? Oh, it’s nothing, I’ll be fine, bye Mrs. Shin!”

“Oh Kimchi-ah, Dongho left early today and told me to tell you to go home by yourself today, he’s busy”

“Araseo Mrs. Shin, gamsahibnida! I’ll be going now!”

On the way to school I was wondering why Dongho told me to go home by myself, probably to walk his girlfriend home.

‘Aish! Stop thinking about it Kimchi-ah!’I warned myself.

I got to school and went straight to the tree.

“Annyeong chingus!” I shouted to them. Their faces didn’t look too good… like something happened?

“Ya, waeirae? Did something happen to you guys?” I asked still curious about what’s happening.

“Err… Kimchi-ah, it’s best if you didn’t know about it” HyeMi said looking down. But you were dying of curiosity! You just needed to know what was going on.
