Nightmare Charm



“HUAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” a boy’s shout echoed all over the house.

“Omooo! Joongie what’s wrong?!” Min Hee asked worriedly as she got inside Jaejoong’s room.

“Umaaaaaa~” Joongie cried as he hugged his mommy so tightly, sobbing hard.

“Aigoo…Joongie, don’t cry, it’s OK, Umma is here…” Min Hee caressed his baby boy’s cheek.

“Mons…Giant monster almost ate me…Hiks…Umaaaa…” Joongie cried.

“It’s OK, dear, it’s just nightmare…There’s no monster that going to eat a cute and good boy like Joongie. That’s why stop crying, OK?” Min Hee persuaded and so Joongie stopped.

For the rest of the night, Joongie couldn’t sleep; he’s too afraid, even though his mommy hugged him and slept with him. The next morning, our Joongie looked like panda-boy.

“Hyung! What happened with your eyes?” Bumie approached Joongie as the boy went inside the class.

“Lack of sleep?” the genius Shim Changmin predicted.

“Yeah, can’t sleep last night…” Joongie spoke with weak tone, he’s so tired.

“Hyung, you should rest at home if you don’t feel well,” Chunnie suggested.

“Yeah, I’ll lend you my book if you afraid to miss the lesson…” Suie spoke. Joongie shook his head; he told them he’s fine. Suddenly…

“Omooo!!! Joongie, who did that to you?!” Yunnie came closer as he examined Joongie’s eyes.

“What?” Joongie asked clueless.

“Who the bell the one who hurt my Joongie’s eyes?!” Yunnie shouted angrily.

“Yaaa! Hyung, he’s just lack of sleep!” Chunnie spoke.

“Eh?”

“Well, it’s nightmare actually…”Joongie explained.

Before they could chat more, the class started. They did some drawing at the first lesson and then, singing at the next class. Simple kiddo’s math followed after that. The five of them tried their best to do the ten-numbered assignment of subtraction and addition.

“Yey!” Minnie cheered as finally the break time came. He and the other boys went to the canteen to get their free food like always. They sat near the school park as they ate.

“Joongie ah, try to count the sheep tonight, OK?” Suie suggested.

“For what?” Joongie asked.

“It’s said it’ll help us sleep tightly,” Bumie explained.

“Yup! I did that and I slept well,” Chunnie added.

“But hyung sleeps well anywhere and anytime…” Minnie spoke,” Chunnie hyung is the King of Sleep…”

“Yaa~”

“Joongie, just imagine I’m beside you and I’ll protect you, OK?” Yunnie finally spoke his mind.

“OK…” Joongie slightly blushed as he continued eating.

Finally the bell rang again and the kids went back to class. They played and studied till it’s time to go home. They parted and said goodbye.

“Umma, can we go to the temple first?” Yunnie asked his mommy,” I want to buy something…”

Sye Hyun was more than shocked to hear that. His baby boy wanted to go to the temple? Well, because she’s curious, she decided to take Yunnie there.

When they arrived, Yunnie looked around and he found what he’s searching for. He went near the stand and a lady greeted him.

“Omooo…What a cute boy!” the lady cheered as she pinched Yunnie’s cheek softly, making Yunnie blushed.

“I…I want a charm please…” Yunnie managed to speak up; the lady was surprised that the boy wanted a charm. It’s usually old people looking for a charm. Curious, she asked,” For who and for what?”

“For my precious person, he’s kind of having nightmare…” Yunnie spoke innocently,” Can I have one?”

“Well, first you must answer nuna’s question…” the lady spoke,” My name is Schu, what’s your name?”

“My name is Yunho, Schu nunna, hehe…” Yunnie felt he’s kind of liked the nuna, but still he liked Joongie the best.

“What a cute name, yet, it’ll be masculine one when you’re adult!” Schu cheered.

“Mas…culine?” Yunnie didn’t understand the word.

“You’ll understand later, anyway, can nuna take a picture with you?” Schu asked, she just couldn’t help but liked the cute boy.

“OK!”

And so Yunnie and Schu took picture together.

“Here~ Thanks cutie!” Schu spoke as she gave the charm to Yunho. Yunho thanked back as his mommy called him.

“Omoo…There you are…Did you find what you searched for?” the mommy asked. Yunnie nodded. After that both of them went home.

That night, Yunnie couldn’t sleep well, not because a nightmare, he’s just worried about Joongie. He prayed that Joongie would be just fine.

When his alarm clock rang, Yunnie jumped out from his bed as he did his routine. He managed to go to school earlier than usual and he waited for Joongie at the gate.
Time passed and finally the boy he searched arrived.

“Yun…nie?” Joongie asked curiously, his eyes still looked dark, but not as bad as yesterday.

“Here! For Joongie!” Yunnie managed to give the charm to Joongie before he ran out back to the class. Our Yunnie just couldn’t help but blushed madly when he thought he’s going to give Joongie a present. Well, the charm was a present for innocent Yunnie.

“What’s this?” Joongie looked at the pocket he just received. He opened it as he saw a cute star charm in it and a paper with kind of messy writing…

For Joongie, from Yunnie…Hope this star will look after you when you’re asleep and can make your nightmare gone!

There’s a heart sign in the end, it made Joongie laughed because the heart had feet and hands. Yunnie could be funny sometime.

Joongie made sure he kept the charm in the safe place inside his bag, he’s going to hang it next to his bed tonight, he was sure the nightmare wouldn’t come again now.

“Yunnie, pabo…” Joongie mumbled as he remembered the blushing Yunnie. It made our innocent Joongie wanted to kiss him. Joongie went into the class and discovered Yunnie on his desk.

“Kumawo!” Joongie spoke as he managed to kiss Yunnie’s cheek and then sat on his seat. Both of the boy blushed but they felt so happy. Both of them were satisfied and had to admit, they liked each other more.
