It's 9pm. Inside an apartment, in a living room, there were standing 2 figures facing each other with tired faces.

"im sorry. i'll try to change for you"

"you said sorry again and again. yet, you still repeat the same mistake Wendy. you ditched me for many times, you forgot our dates, you cancelled our vacation, you didnt come to my birthday party last year"

Wendy sighed and tried to hold her girlfriend's hand but the latter stepped back and looked away

"i cant, Wendy. i cant continue this if its like this", Irene sighed

"what are you talking about Hyunnie?"

"this... this is just so tiring Wendy", Irene said

"we can make it through-"

"we cant"

Wendy gulped when she see Irene's sad eyes, she hate it, when she knows she's the reason behind her sad eyes

"lets just end this", Irene said lowly

Wendy froze, her heart stopped beating, her brain stopped functioning, her breath stopped breathing.

"i cant take this anymore Wendy. lets break up, goodbye", Irene said again and went into her room leaving the speechless Wendy

after few minutes, Wendy slowly approached the bedroom and knocked softly

"Hyunnie, Joohyun ah, please forgive me. im sorry", Wendy pleaded while trying to hold her tears

as of inside, Irene is crying silently, curling on her bed as she hugged her pillow tightly

"please", Wendy pleaded but Irene didnt reply her

"im sorry, please dont break up with me. i'll try to be better for you", Wendy said again

she waited and waited, but Irene didnt move.

so, Wendy slided down and leaned her back against the door. she closed her eyes, trying to rewind back what came so wrong into their relationship, how does things change between them, since when they started to drift apart.

then Wendy remembered, it all started a year ago when she got busy with works and didnt pay attention to Irene like how she used to. less phone calls, less meetings, less dates. Wendy rubbed her face as she just realised how she have left Irene lonely ever since

"Joohyun ah. i.. i will give you some space. just, dont end this. ok? i'll leave for now", Wendy said again as she stood up. she waited if Irene would say something, when she heard nothing, Wendy sighed before she started to leave Irene's apartment.

while at the other side...

Jessica is inside her car, she parked at the side of the road acrossed the bar club owned by her girlfriend's cousin. she stared blankly on the steering. she's been there for hours. 

earlier, she has received a notification from her girlfriend's cousin, asking why she werent in the club when her girlfriend was there. 

just then, when she heard laughters, she turned her head and saw 2 women coming out of the club laughing happily.

Taeyeon and Seolhyun. her girlfriend, Taeyeon is with Seolhyun, Taeyeon's ex. 

Jessica turned to look at her phone's screen where it contain Taeyeon's text message few hours ago 

From: Taeyeon

-im sorry, i wont be having dinner with you tonight. lets just meet tomorrow? im tired, i want to sleep early.

Jessica shook her head and leaned her side head against her car's window as she stared at Taeyeon and Seolhyun.

'how could you be that happy with someone else Taeyeon ah? how could you smile like that for someone else? how could you lie to me?'

Jessica watched until Taeyeon brought Seolhyun into her car and they drove off, leaving together.

the thing is, Jessica already felt something wrong with Taeyeon four months ago. Taeyeon was always away and seems to hide something from her. it turns out that Taeyeon met with Seolhyun again. but Jessica just shrug it off, thinking that maybe they just be friends again.

but, she was not a fool not to see how Taeyeon seems so happy to see Seolhyun again. hell, she even know how deeply in love Taeyeon was with Seolhyun before as Seolhyun is her first love.

At Jung Mansion,

Jessica got back home after stalking Taeyeon for the first time. she got tired even if it just one time. she's tired physically and mentally.

It's midnight already, she's hungry but didnt have any appetite. she went to the kitchen to get a mineral water and was surprised to see Wendy, her other sibling who got adopted by her parents when Wendy was 5 years old, same age as her real younger sister, Krystal. 

Wendy is sitting alone, drinking a water

"why are you here?", Jessica asked as she get a glass and poured a water into it

Wendy just shook her head, Jessica took a seat beside her and drink silently

"fighting with Irene?", Jessica asked

"am i.. not worth it?", Wendy asked

"what do you mean Seungwan ah?"

"do you think Irene deserve someone much more better than me unnie?"

Jessica narrowed her eyes when Wendy asked her that

"tell me, what happened actually? hm?", Jessica asked

"a lot of thing had happened. i dont know what to do", Wendy replied

"why would she deserve someone better when you're the best for her?", Jessica asked

"am i really the best for her?", Wendy asked

"whats exactly on your mind?"

"she... Irene, she's asking for a break up earlier", Wendy sighed and Jessica was surprised.

as far as she knows, Wendy and Irene are very much in love with each other. their relationship almost reach 4 years now compared to hers and Taeyeon thats just 1 year and a half.

"but, i didnt agree. i said i will just give her some space to think about it again", Wendy said

"how did the break up thing came up anyway?", Jessica asked Wendy

"she said she cant bear it anymore. we've been so distant. i was too busy to the point that i dont have time for her", Wendy answered

"now that you mentioned it, yes you've become so busy since last year. dad told me that you're trying to build your own business, you even rejected his offer to help. i was about to help as well but well, dad told me you will refuse all of our help. but whats making you change your mind? i thought you said you agreed to work under our family company and replace dad's position one day?"

Jessica have her own clothing line, Blanc and Eclare. she is also busy as the fashion designer, CEO, as well as doing modelling for other brands and magazines.

Thats why she said she wont be taking The Jung or known as TJ Group even if she's the right heiress for that.

As for Krystal, Krystal were not interested in business even if she have knowledge. she loves doing what she want the most, that is to be an actress and be a model like Jessica. for short, she likes her career as a celebrity.

and because of that, Wendy is the only one who's left to bear the responsibility for handling TJ Group in the future.

But like Jessica has said, Wendy suddenly changed her mind about it.

Wendy sighed as she looked down and played with her glass

"i just, i want to achieve my own success for our future", Wendy mumbled

"what do you mean by that?"

"i want to stand high by doing everything from the scratch, to have something thats on my own. not just receiving from this family. you guys have done enough for me by adopting me to be a part of your family. so i think, i should learn to do things with my own sweats and own work.", Wendy explained

"you know that we take you as our real family and i thought we all agreed not to mention about this adopt thingy? you are with us, we dont see you as someone from outside the family. stop reminding of you being adopted", Jessica frowned

"maybe you all think like that but, people out there would still see me as a poor girl who just got lucky to get adopted by The Jung Family"

"Wendy Jung Seungwan. you are not a poor girl nor what people think you would be. you are our blood, our family, and my sister", Jessica said firmly

"whats wrong with you??? huh? is this the reason why you want to work on your own? to build something on your own without our help? that makes you not having much time to spend with Irene? i thought she is your top priority", Jessica asked sadly

"she still is, she will always be my top priority. and i dont want to lose her. i do what i do for the sake of her, to give her happiness, to give her a bright future so i can support her life", Wendy sobbed

"hushh, let it out", Jessica hugged Wendy when Wendy burst out crying

"i love her unnie, i dont want her to break up with me. what should i do???", Wendy asked while crying

"talk to her, explain yourself. ask her to consider her decision. tell her how much you love her", Jessica said

"and if it dont work out?"

Jessica sighed and cupped Wendy's face

"then its her loss", Jessica smiled

"sometimes, we gotta let go of someone we love Wendy. letting go doesnt mean we give up. it can mean that we want the best for them, we want them to be happy even if we're not gonna be a part of their happiness anymore", Jessica said to Wendy, well.. more like telling herself that

"i guess, i'll talk to her", Wendy mumbled

"good. just remember, if anything, im always here Seungwan ah"

"thankyou unnie"

"anything for my sister"
