*Kyurin’s POV*

=at the park, sitting on a bench=

Kibum-oppa’s words still keep on ringing inside my head.

=flashback=

“Kyurin-ah, saranghaeyo.” Kibum-oppa said sincerely.

“Can we go out? Go out as in date?” he asked.

I stared at Kibum-oppa, completely flustered about what he just said. Half of my mind was wishing that the person who said those things is that person.

“I know, you’re completely shock by my sudden confession but I mean everything. I really like you from the start and day by day I keep on liking you more until I fallen for you already. You brought so much changes— good changes —into my life. Kyurin-ah, I love you, I really do” he said wholeheartedly.

“Oppa…” was the only word that came out of my mouth.

“I know you don’t feel the same way to me but I know that deep inside, I have a tiny space in your heart. So let’s try to date for at least a month. Maybe you’ll realize that the tiny part I’m holding on is rather big” he said.

“O-oppa, I-I d-don’t know w-what to say.” I whispered.

“You don’t have to answer me right now. Just think about what I say. If you’re ready to give me your answer then call me anytime” he said then smiles, making the tension lower a bit.

Good thing Kibum-oppa didn’t force me to answer. Because I really don’t know what to say, one wrong word then it can end up our friendship. I sighed.

It’s true that he really holds a part of my heart. But it’s not as tiny as he thinks it is. I had liked himtoo. If he asked me this a lot earlier then maybe I can say ‘yes’ to him immediately. But no, this time is different. I like Kyuhyun-oppa now. I sighed again.

‘Maybe this will be a good timing. If Amber knows that I like Kibum-oppa now then she’ll make-up with me. And I’m sure I can also teach my heart to like him and forget my feelings for Kyu-oppa. He’s not hard to like. But what if I can’t? I don’t want to play with Kibum-oppa’s heart. Eotteoke?’ There are really so many ‘what-ifs’ in my mind right now. My mind is jumbled up and I really don’t know what to do. But one thing I’m sure about.

‘If he really mean what he said then, if he wants me to say no then I’ll definitely say no without having second thoughts.’

But it’s quite impossible for him to mean it right? We’ve been rivals for almost 13 years. We’ve just become friends recently. And I bet he just treats me as a friend.

“Life !” I muttered as I gave off a deep frustrated sigh.

“No it’s not” a voice came up and I can see a standing figure of a man in front of me.

“Hey!” he said, sitting beside me. I can’t believe it! I keep on staring at his face. How I miss seeing him every day. His face slims a bit and his dark circles become bigger.

“I know you miss me but stop staring at my face” he said confidently then chuckles which bring me back to reality. I quickly blush and look away.

“Misses you? Pfft!” I said.

“Well I do,” he said I look at him and met his eyes.

“I miss teasing you” he said then laughs wholeheartedly and patted my head.

‘I should have known. And now what makes me think he like me? Pabo!’ I thought.

“Yah! Stop patting my head like I’m a dog.” I said then pouted to hide my disappointment. Kyuhyun laughs harder.

“By the way, why are you here?” I asked.

“My feet lead me here when I’m strolling awhile ago” he answered.

“Oh…”

“How about you?” he asked back.

“I am actually thinking.” I answered him then look at the sky. The stars are always shining so brightly when I’m with him.

“Thinking…about what?” he asked again. I sighed.

“Actually Kibum-oppa confessed to me not so long ago…” I said, testing to see what reactions he will give. His face didn’t change, but there’s something in his eyes that I can’t explain.

“So what happened?” he asked coolly and coldly.

‘He doesn’t really mean what I heard the last night isn’t he?’ I thought, somehow I got disappointed. I look at the sky again, suddenly all the stars shines weakly.

“He asked me if we could try to date for a month.” I simply answer.

“What did you say?” he asked same tone he used in his last question.

“I didn’t say anything ‘coz honestly I really don’t know what to say.” I told him.

“Shouldn’t you say yes?” he said as he looks at me.

“Should I?” I asked back while I met his gaze. My question caught off his guard but he recovered fast. He looks away from me and just looks down while playing with his thumbs.

“You like him right?” he asked,

‘No, you’re the one like.’ I wanted to say this but I can’t say it out.

“If you do then say yes to him. Guys always say they’ll wait, but you shouldn’t always keep that in mind, ‘coz when we get tired of waiting, we lose our interest” he said.

“So I should have said yes to him.” I said, more to myself.

“I’m going home” he declared as he stands up without glancing at me.

“Oh, thanks for your time.” I said quickly as I look up at him. He just nodded.

“You can go home safely right?” he asked, his back facing at me.

“Of course!” I said then he starts to walk away without looking back at me.

“He suddenly acts weirdly. Does he had a problem?” I asked myself.

“So I should say yes after all. Why do I even think that he mean it when he said, ‘Saranghaeyo, Kyurin-ah’?” I mumbled weakly then a teardrop suddenly escapes my eye.
