The familiar noise was heard again. soomi reflectly flinched at the voice

"no.. it can't be.." she moves back, pushing her body backwards. her eyes are fixed on the long slimy figure located not far from her.

her whole body shivered "hoya.." a small voice escaped her lips, tears drops slowly from her eyes.

"hoya.." she said louder as the snake went closer to her, she moves back again but then her back bumped onto the edge "hoya.. hoya..! hoya!!" she screamed louder, shutting her eyes.

then she felt a presence of someone, a man, sliding down the slope "!" he screamed. even though she couldn't see very clear who this person was, all she knew was that she felt that she had known him for sure.

the man pushed her back and stood infront ot her bravely.

"get off me!" a familiar voice growled *i know that voice..* soomi was still trembling as she squinted her eyes, trying to look through the bleak surroudings.

she saw as the figure fought against the snake, with a lighter on his hand, she watched as the man swung the fire towards the snake, scaring it off "!" he swung the lighter for the very last time before the snake hissed and dissapeared into the dark.

the night was dark, she couldn't see the man very clear but she was sure of the boy's identity. the boys slowly walked towards her "hoya.. " the boy stopped in front of her "you're hoya.. right?" her voice were sharky

she slowly lifted her hands to his face trying to point out his figure. she could feel a hard, tough cheek bone and how his nose bridge perfectly shaped, her hands slid down as she stopped on his lips. she could feel his lips curled up into a smirk

without another word, soomi slung her arms around his neck "hoya..!" she was now sure of his figure as she sobbed. hoya's heart softened by her sudden act and hugged her back *kim soo mi have this side with her too*

hoya awkwardly patted her back "stop crying" he said coldly. it may seemed weird if suddenly he blurted out all his endless nags. it would take a night to finish it off and it will only make things worse between him and soomi. hoya sighed as the girl sobbed in his arm.

that small, heart-warming moment didn't stay long until they heard the noise again

"! it's back" hoya quickly released his hands from her, soomi still clinged onto him

"t-the snake's still here? " she couldn't spot anything now since the night gets darker and darker "darn.. we have to go now" hoya pulled her up but soomi ended up falling again, causing hoya to stumbled back "i.. my ankle.." soomi bit her lips

hoya looked at her then to her leg *darh! i have no other choice* he gritted his teeth as the snake came closer

"sorry" hoya panickly bend down and pulled soomi up, bridal way "aaah! what are you doing?!" soomi yelped, her heart jumped "don't scream" hoya quickly ran deeper into the forest "why are we going this way? the temple is on the opposite side!" soomi slowly whispered.

"we can't. that lane is too high for us to climb, besides you can't walk" hoya's word shutted soomi right away *ah yes.. my stupid ankle* she felt a bit guilty now.

"but.. where are we going?!" soomi yelped as hoya kept silent. he kept on running, unsure of where's he's going but one thing for sure, away from the snake.

"aishh.. do you still see that snake?" hoya slowly placed soomi back on the ground as the two hide behind a big oak tree "i don't know.. i can't see anything" soomi confessed "aish.. can you hear anything? any hissing?" hoya wiped off the sweat on his face. he was panting hard

"i don't hear anything.. i think it's not following us anymore" hoya let out a big sigh of relief, crashing his back on the tree and slid down "oh God i thought i was going to die, running away from that snake and carrying a heavy girl like you"

soomi quickly glared at him "i'm not heavy!" she blushed "yes you are.." he said ruffling her hair "ya-yahh!" she pushed his hands away, but unknowingly, a small smile crept on her face

drip.. drip.. drip...

*oh great* hoya stopped and rolled his eyes *is it not enough to get away from the snake? now it's starting to pour in*

"ottoke?" soomi felt the cold droplets of water on her skin ".. can it be worse?" hoya said sarcastically then he spotted a small cottage just meters away from their spot

"i think someone's there" hoya pointed to the old wooden cottage, soomi followed his direction and saw it too. the two walked to the cottage slowly. soomi wasn't wearing any jackets or sweater to cover her from the rain. suddenly she felt the rain wasn't hard anymore as she saw a shadow above her.

she looked up and saw hoya "what are you doing?" she asked, hoya pulled out his jacket and covered both of their heads "covering us. what else, babo?" he let out a small sarcastic grin *why is he so kind to me lately?* soomi thought for a while but let if off anyway

"are you sure they're going to let us in?" soomi bit her lips as she followed behind hoya, gripping on his jacket for help. the two stopped infront of the door. soomi and hoya hid under the big tree just beside the house and squeezed her hair and clothes, hoya suddenly offered her his jacket but looked away

"what?" soomi furrowed her eyes towards him, looking at him suspiciously "just put it on, your clothes is.. " he stopped and coughed. soomi looked down at her clothes *! my innerwear!* she snatched the jacket away and quickly put it on "thankyou" she blushed

knock. knock. knock

"is anyone home?" there are no answers. he knocked again "anyone home?" soomi looked through the windows and it seems that all the lights were off, moreover, there seems to be no sign of human inside "should we get inside?" hoya slowly tilted the doorknob but soomi stopped him "no! we can't just barged in like that---"

*insert thunder sfx*

"eeek!" soomi quickly squatted down and covered her ears with both of her hands. hoya was quite surprised with her sudden scream "yah--- what a cowa----" he was about to but then he had a change in plan as he watched her shivered *she must be really scared*

"you're scared of thunders?" hoya lend her a hand but soomi didn't respond, more like she didn't saw it coming "it's better if we come in you know.." hoya tried to pull her up but she won't move "kim soo mi you hear me?" hoya poked her. soomi shook her head and still squattting down "liar" a smirk crawled up to his face

"gaah! what are you doing!" soomi yelped as hoya lifted her up again, bridal way. soomi reddened in instant "stop! put me down!" she hitted hoya's chest several times as hoya tried to avoid it "ow ow ow! hey! stop!" soomi still hitted him, hard without any mercy. hoya quickly kicked the door open with his feet and intruded in. like what they thought, there was no one.

the cottage was about the size of a small room. there is a single bed on the edge of the room, small and old. the tables and chairs are dusty, there were no lamps but there is a candle stock by the table. there's nothing here, only a few dusty antique furnitures and ah old painting covered in curtains

"ya--ah!" soomi yelped as hoya slumped her onto the bed, his body was above her, pinning her. soomi eyes popped out as she felt hoya's breath stifled. hoya eyes met hers "honey, why did you look at me like that? did you finaly fell for me?"

soomi quickly pushed him away as the boy stumbled onto the floor "ani!" she huffed "i will never fall for you!" soomi's heart is at it's again, she hastily looked away *gosh.. why is he always like that?*

"ouch honey. i thought you was going to answer yes.." hoya rubbed his back

"i'm out of here" soomi slowly sat and about to walk outside, hoya stopped her "don't" soomi attempt to shook his hands off "the storm is too wild, there's no way i'm going to let you go in this kind of weather, moreover, your ankle is still strained" he gestured to her leg

he made a point.

soomi looked out the door as the wind fiercely blew off the leaves and created a chaos *he's right.. but we can't stay here either* soomi gulped down then looked at hoya "besides our phones are dead.. we're lost for now but i'm sure they're going to find us by tomorrow" hoya leaned back beside her, attempt to change her mind

"so what you're trying to say is that we need to stay for the night?" soomi looked at him, sending him an uncomfortable gaze. hoya let out a long pause before he answers "yes"

"you ert" soomi squinted her eyes and forcing her strained leg to walk to the edge of the room, getting as far away from him "hey! you're making me like one now! come back here! it's not like i'm going to you or what!" hoya gestured to her, calling her to come closer "no!" she stucked out her tongue

"come any closer and i swear i'm going to punch you REAL HARD, hoya"

"try me" he smiled, sending soomi a quick gasp as he slowly walked to her.

"HOYA YOU BEEF JERKIE! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT RIGHT NOW!"

Can the night get any worse perfect than this?
