Chapter Fourteen: Pairing Up

*Gui Gui’s POV*

Just as they left the room, I then remembered. I promised Hebe to go out with her today. I took my phone and started dialing her number.

“Hello? Gui? What happen to you today? Why didn’t you come to school?”

“Sorry. I’m having fever. I can’t go out with you today.”

“Oh. It’s ok. I can go myself then. You better rest more.”

“Yea. I will. Sorry. Bye.”

“Bye.” I put down the phone. Sigh. I get down of the bed slowly. I have been lying on the bed for the whole day. My body is aching now. I walked out of my room and walked down the stairs slowly.

“Gui, why did you get down from the bed?” Aaron ran up to me and held onto me. He stood on my left.

“I want to get some fresh air. I have been lying on the bed for the whole day.”

“Gui, I bring you to the garden.” Calvin came up to me and held onto my right hand. I looked at Aaron and then to Calvin.

“Err..”

“Aaron, let Calvin bring Gui outside.” Mum said. She said it on purpose, didn’t she? Slowly, Aaron let go of my hand.

“Gor..” He walked away.

“Gui, let’s go.” Calvin held onto me carefully.

“Thank you.”

“You are welcome.”

*Aaron’s POV*

“They look good together, don’t they?” Auntie Wu said.

“Err.. Yea.. Somehow.” I replied reluctantly.

“Aaron, do you have a girlfriend?” I was shocked by her question.

“Err.. Ye.. No.. I don’t have.” I still said no in the end.

~Flashback~

“I just feel like telling the whole world that we are together.”

“Gor, we can’t.”

“Why? Just because we are siblings? But we are not blood related.”

“In people eyes, we are siblings. Most importantly, I do not want to hurt Hebe nor Calvin.”

“They would still get hurt in the end.”

“Gor..”

“I know. I understand. I almost flare up just now. Just because they do not know we are together, I must be with Hebe and you must go with Calvin. I do not want that. I want you to be with me only.”

“Gor, we can’t be selfish.”

~End of Flashback~

If that’s what she wanted, I will follow her decision by not saying out.

“Why don’t you find a girlfriend?” She continues to ask.

“Not now.”

“Since your birthday is coming, we organize a party for you so you can know more people. Sounds great huh? I discussed with your dad today.”

“Huh.. There isn’t a need.”

“Don’t be shy.” She smiled and walked away.

“Hey.. Auntie..” Sigh. What now? I walked out to the garden to look for Gui and Calvin.

“Gui!” I shouted for her when I saw her from a distance.

“Gor!” She smiled and started walking towards me.

“Careful.” Calvin followed beside her.

“Gor..” She came up and held onto me. I smiled at her.

“Calvin, thank you for coming. I’m fine with Gor here.”

“You sure?”

“Yea. See you in school.” He nodded and left. Gui looked at me and smiled.

“Silly girl.”

“I do not want you to get sad anymore. I told mum that I love you.”

“You what?!”

“I told mum that I love you.”

“Gui, I thought you..”

“I didn’t tell her that we are together. I just tell her that we are together. And..”

“She slapped you, didn’t she?” I reached out for her face and touched the place that is red. Gui didn’t reply. I hugged her tightly. She pushed me slightly away.

“Gor, let’s go and sit down.” Both of us walked to the nearest bench.

“Gor, your birthday is coming. Do you have anything that you want?” I looked at her.

“I want you.” I smiled at her which makes her started blushing.

“I’m serious. Don’t joke around.” She hit my chest.

“I’m serious too.” I said.

“Gor..”

“Ok Ok. Let me think.”

“Can we have a ring each?” I said.

“Gor,other people might see it.” I hugged her tightly.

“I can’t take it anymore. This is driving me crazy.”

~At night~

The 4 of us are sitting at the dining table.

“Gui, I heard that you are sick. Are you feeling better?” Dad asked.

“Yea. I’m feeling better now.”

“Dear, Aaron’s birthday is coming. Do you think we should organize a party for him?” Auntie Wu asked dad. She is serious about it.

“Sounds great. Ok.” Dad agreed to it.

“It’s time for him to get girlfriend too.” Auntie Wu continues to say. I looked at dad.

“Yea. True.” He agreed again!

“Gui, I heard from your mum that you got a boyfriend.” Dad turned to Gui. Gui was drinking soup when dad said that. She started coughing.

“Gui, are you ok?” I asked.

“Yea.” She looked at dad.

“Boyfriend? Who?”

“Who? What’s the name again?” Dad turned to Auntie Wu.

“Calvin.”

“Oh yeah. Calvin.”

“Eh? Calvin? He’s not my..”

“Gui, don’t be shy. Calvin seems to be a good guy.” Auntie Wu said.

“Huh? I..”

“I’m full already.” I stood up from the chair.

“So I confirmed that you want the birthday party.” Dad said. I didn’t reply him.

“Gor..”
