Chapter 31: Happy first month anniversary!

Gyuwon slowly opened her eyes and looked at the clock. It was already 5 am. She Youngmin’s hair and smile. He was sleeping deeply and peacefully.

“Youngmin-ah, mianhe. All of this is my fault” Gyuwon thought sadly looking at his bruises.

She kissed Youngmin’s forehead and headed to the door.

-      Are you leaving now? –Youngmin said. Gyuwon turned to him.

-      Yes, I need to go home to get ready for school. Classes start in two hours. –Gyuwon explained him.

-      I see… will you come later? –Youngmin asked with brightened eyes.

-      Yes, I’ll come after classes. –Gyuwon said smiling. –Take care, ok? –she said caressing his cheek. Youngmin nodded and smiled.

At school…

Ahjin opened her locker to keep her books. Her eyes widened when she saw a hand holding a beautiful rose bouquet in front of her.

-      Happy first month anniversary. –Kwangmin whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek. She blushed.

-      Happy first month anniversary. –She said facing him.

-      Saranghe. –Kwangmin said handing her the flowers. She took the bouquet shyly.

-      Aawww… guys, you’re so cute. –Hyunseong said.

-      Hyung! Annyeong! – Kwangmin said waving!

-      I heard about Youngmin… how is he? –Hyunseong said worried.

-      He’s better. But he had serious injuries. Fortunately, the doctors said the bullet didn’t touch any internal organ. –Kwangmin said and sighed.

-      Don’t worry. He’ll be fine, just have faith. –Hyunseong said patting his shoulder.

-      Yeah, thank you hyung. –Kwangmin said.

Meanwhile, Hayoung and Namjoo were chatting with Gyuwon at the hallway.

-      Unnie! We heard about Youngmin Oppa… -Namjoo said sadly.

-      How is he? –Hayoung asked worried.

-      He’s better. But I guess he will have to be in the hospital at least for two or three weeks. I’ll go to the hospital after classes to visit him.–Gyuwon sighed.

-      Do you think he'll be able to attend the graduation ceremony? –Namjoo said pouting.

-      I hope he can. -Gyuwon said faking a smile.

-      I’m sure he will. Graduation will be in two months. –Hayoung said cheering Gyuwon.

Gyuwon went to the hospital after classes. She opened Youngmin’s room and saw him arguing with the nurse.

-      Definitely, I’m not going to eat that! –Youngmin said complaining like a little kid.

-      C’mon Mr. Jo. You have to eat your food. –The nurse said pleading.

-      Youngmin-ah! Why don’t you want to eat? –Gyuwon said crossing her arms walking toward him in an angry tone.

-      Because that food don’t seem eatable. –Youngmin said pointing at the food.

-      I don’t care if the food seems eatable or not. The doctor said you have to eat well if you want to get out of the hospital soon. –Gyuwon said glaring at him.

-      Arasso… -Youngmin said giving up. –but I’ll only eat it if you feed me.

-      You’re more childish than my dongsaeng. –Gyuwon said rolling her eyes. –Thank you so much for your help… -Gyuwon said bowing to the nurse. - … and for being patient with HIM. –She said looking at Youngmin.

-      No problem, it’s my job. Please make sure that he eats well. –the nurse said politely.

-      I’ll do. Thank you so much. –Gyuwon said smiling. The nurse exited the room.

-      Why did you come so late? I was booored. –Youngmin said.

-      I had some things to do. C’mon eat this. –Gyuwon said feeding him. Youngmin twisted his mouth.

-      I don’t want to eat it. I’m sure it tastes bad.

-      How do you know if it tastes bad if you haven’t even tried it? C’mon eat it! –Gyuwon said upset.

-      Arasso… -he said and ate it.

-      Hey! It tastes good. –he said savoring it.

-      Such a baby… -Gyuwon mumbled and chuckled a little.

She finished feeding him and cleaned his mouth that was covered with food.

-      So, how are you feeling? –Gyuwon asked him.

-      Fine. But I already want to go out of here. I think I’ll die of boredom. –Youngmin said pouting.

-      If you eat well and do what the doctor said. You will go out of the hospital very soon. –Gyuwon said holding his hand.

Someone knocked the door and opened it. Kwangmin and Ahjin were there.

-      Hyung! –Kwangmin said smiling and entered with Ahjin.

-      Annyeong! –Youngmin said smiling.

-      How are you Oppa? –Ahjin said worried.

-      I’m fine Ahjin-ah. –He said.

-      Have you eaten? –Kwangmin asked him.

-      Yes, he just ate a while ago. I fed him. –Gyuwon said.

-      Hyung, you have to eat a lot, so you can get better soon. –Kwangmin said.

-      Yes, I’ll do. I thought you wouldn’t come today since is your first month anniversary.

-      Yes, but we wanted to see you first. –Kwangmin said.

-      So, are you going on a date tonight? –Gyuwon asked them excited.

-      Yes, I’ve prepared something special for her. But I won’t tell you what it is because it’s a surprise. –Kwangmin said.

-      Oppa… -Ahjin said blushing.

-      Noona, do you need something before we leave? –Kwangmin asked her.

-      No, thanks. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of Youngmin.

-      Well, hyung. We’re leaving. –Kwangmin said ruffling his hair.

-      Yah! Kwangmin-ah, don’t do that. You’re messing my cool hair. –Youngmin said upset.

-      See you later, oppa. –Ahjin said and they left holding hands.

-      Aigoo… they are so cute! Youngmin why aren’t you as romantic as your dongsaeng? –Gyuwon said.

-      Hey! I’m also romantic! You’re the one that is cold with… -Gyuwon pecked him on the lips.

-      I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that. I don’t want to argue with you today. –She said. Youngmin nodded and kissed her warmly.

Later, at Ahjin’s house:

-      Ahjin! Kwangmin is waiting you downstairs! –Her mom screamed.

-      I’m coming! –Ahjin said.

“OMG! He’s here. Do I look great? Aishh Why am I so nervous? I mean… it’s not like it’s the first time I’m going out with him” Ahjin thought looking herself at the mirror.

She went downstairs. Kwangmin was waiting for her. His jaw dropped when he saw Ahjin.

-      Wow! –Kwangmin said. Ahjin blushed.

-      Let’s go Oppa. –She said and Kwangmin held her hand.

They got in Kwangmin’s car.

“Wow! Kwangmin looks so handsome. I can’t believe that I didn’t realize before that he was the one for me. Now that we are together, I can’t be happier” Ahjin thought.

-      What are you thinking about? –Kwangmin asked her.

-      Nothing… I’m just curious about where we are going. -she said shyly.

-      Well, I can’t tell you that because it’s a surprise. –Kwangmin said smiling.

Kwangmin parked the car in front of a little but warm coffee shop.

They got off the car and Kwangmin opened the door. Ahjin came in the coffee shop but it was empty. No one except her and Kwangmin was there.

-      Oppa, why is it empty? –She asked clueless.

-      I rented it, that’s why it’s empty. But that’s not the surprise. –He said smiling and covered her eyes.

He guided her upstairs holding her hands. Then he stood behind her and uncovered her eyes.

-      Wow! –Ahjin said amazed and tears started flowing through her eyes.

-      Why are you crying cupcake? –Kwangmin said pouting. (cupcake is her nickname xD)

-      Because this is so amazing. This is the best that someone has ever done for me. Gomawo. –She said and hugged him.

-      C’mon sit down. –He said pulling the chair. She sat down and then Kwangmin took his seat.

-      Wow! We have many memories together! –She said looking at the pictures.

-      Yes, and I’m sure we will make more. –He said smiling.

-      Look at this one! We were still children then. Youngmin is also in the picture! –She said excited.

-      Do you know why I put that picture there? –He asked her and Ahjin shook her head. –Because that was the day I realized that I was in love with you and I promised myself that I would take care of you forever.

-      Really? –She said blushed.

-      Yes, I have been in love with you since we were children. But I was too shy and afraid to confess to you.

-      But you finally did it and we are together now. –She said taking his hand.

-      Yeah, that’s right. And I will never let you go of my side. –He said smiling. –Oh! I almost forget it! –He said taking something from his pocket. –This is for you. –He said and gave her a little box.

She opened it. It was a beautiful necklace with a key and a heart that said: “You hold the key to my heart”

-      Do you like it? –Kwangmin said curious.

-      Yes, I love it Oppa. –Ahjin said smiling.

-      I’ll help you to put it on. –He said standing up and helped her to put the necklace.

They finished eating and Kwangmin took Ahjin home.

-      Thank you so much for everything Oppa. I had a great time.–Ahjin said smiling.

-      Me too. I can’t believe it already passed a month. –He said looking at the stars.

-      Good night Oppa. -Ahjin said and pecked him on the cheek shyly.

-      Good night cupcake. –He said smiling. Ahjin turned around and walked to the front door.

-      Wait! You forgot something. –Kwangmin said and grabbed her wrist.

-      Really? What? –she said

-      This. –Kwangmin said and kissed her deeply holding her waist. Kwangmin broke the kiss.

-      See you tomorrow Oppa. –Ahjin said blushed.

-      See you tomorrow. –Kwangmin said smiling.

Ahjin entered her house and Kwangmin walked to his house. “She’s the best that could ever happen to me. I hope we can be together forever” he thought happily.
