Chapter 12: Allergy.

Youngmin and Gyuwon fell asleep on the desk. The twins’ mom entered the room and started shaking Youngmin.

-      Kwangmin, sweetheart, wake up and take Gyuwon to the guest room. –His mom whispered. Youngmin woke up and rubbed his eyes.

-      Neh Umma… -Youngmin said still half asleep.

Youngmin carried her bridal style and took her to the guest room. He laid her on the bed and covered her with the blanket. He stayed there staring at her sleeping peacefully. “She looks like an angel” He thought. He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly and then exited the room.

It was time for going to the school. Gyuwon woke up and realized that she was in the guest room. “How did I get here?” She thought. She got up and got ready for the school. She went downstairs.

-      Good morning Gyuwon. –The twins’ mom said smiling.

-      Good morning Eomeonim. –Gyuwon said bowing.

They had breakfast and went to the school. In Biology class everyone presented their project, including Youngmin and Gyuwon. Youngmin was almost falling asleep in class but he tried to keep awake.

-      Congratulations to everyone. There were two projects that got A+. Kwangmin and Gyuwon’s project and Youngmin and Ahjin’s project. Congratulations! –The teacher said proud.

The classes finished and Ahjin looked for Youngmin (Kwangmin).

-      Youngmin Oppa! What do you think if we go to celebrate our A+? –Ahjin said smiling.

-      Yes! That’s a great idea! –Kwangmin said smiling. “These last days the twins have been acting weird” Ahjin thought.

-      Well, let’s go! –Ahjin said taking his hand.

They went to the park for a picnic. They fed each other kimbap that Ahjin made.

-      Did you like it? –Ahjin said. Kwangmin nodded.

(I'm sorry it's just I love this cute Youngminnie face. Remember it is supposed to be Kwangmin)

-      I wish Kwangmin would be here. It would be like the old times. You know, now that Kwangmin is spending more time with Gyuwon, I miss him so much. –She said. “If you only knew I’m Kwangmin. Would you give me a chance?” Kwangmin thought.

-      You’re quiet today. –She sighed. –Oppa! Close your eyes. I made a special meal for you. –She said smiling.

-      Ok. –Kwangmin closed his eyes and opened his mouth. –Ahhhh… -He said.

Ahjin put a Japgwapyon (Nut and rice cake) in his mouth and he ate it.

-      Mmmm… it’s delicious, what is it? –Kwangmin asked opening his eyes.

-      It’s Japgwapyon. You always used to eat it when you were kid, and Kwangmin always got mad because he couldn’t eat it. –She said laughing.

-      Wait… Japgwapyon… “It has nuts” –Kwangmin thought.

-      Neh… I can’t believe you couldn’t guess what was. –She said smiling.

Kwangmin is allergic to the nuts. So, he started feel dizzy and sweating, finally he started gasping for air and he fainted.

-      Youngmin! –Ahjin screamed and ran toward him. She started panicking and called Kwangmin (Youngmin)

-      Yeoboseyo? –Youngmin answered the phone.

-      Kwangmin Oppa! Youngmin fainted, please come here. We need to take him to the hospital right now. –Ahjin said sobbing.

-      Where are you? –Youngmin said worried.

-      We’re at the park near the school.

-      I’m coming. Please calm down Ahjin. I’m coming right now.

Youngmin hanged up the phone and ran out of his house to drive to the park. He arrived in two minutes. “I hope he’s fine” Youngmin thought worried.

-      Ahjin! –Youngmin arrived running.

-      Oppa! –Ahjin said crying.

Youngmin carried Kwangmin and took him to the hospital. Ahjin couldn’t stop crying.

-      The doctor said that it seems it was an allergic reaction. –Youngmin said.

-      Allergic?  –Ahjin said confused.

-      Yes, do you know if he ate something or if he was bitten by a bug or something?

-      No, I don’t remember. –She said cleaning her tears with a tissue.

-      Don’t worry. The doctor said he will be fine. – He said comforting her.

Ahjin just remember what just happened at the park.

“Mmmm… it’s delicious, what is it? It’s Japgwapyon. You always used to eat it when you were kid, and Kwangmin always got mad because he couldn’t eat it”

“But Kwangmin is the one who is allergic to the nuts… not Youngmin… at least that…”

-      Are you ok? –Youngmin said staring at her.

-      Uhh? Yes. Can I see him?

-      Yes, but he’s still unconscious.

Ahjin came in the room where Kwangmin was. She sat down next to him and held his hand. She took a breath and removed his fringe to see his forehead. Ahjin knew that Kwangmin had a birthmark on his forehead and Youngmin didn’t. When she removed his fringe, she saw the birthmark.

-      Kwangmin… -She whispered.

“I made him eat nuts. It’s my fault”. She thought.

-      Kwangmin Oppa… mianhe… mianhe… -She said crying next to him holding his hand.

Youngmin came in the room.

-      He hasn’t still woken up? –He asked worried.

-      Yah! Youngmin! Why didn’t you tell me anything? Why did you change roles? – Ahjin screamed mad but still sobbing.

-      What? What are you talking about? I’m Kwangmin, not Youngmin. –Youngmin said lying.

-      Stop lying! I know you since kinder garden! Kwangmin ate nuts. That’s why he’s unconscious right now! 

-      What? Did he eat nuts? –He said puzzled.

-      Yeah Babo! He ate nuts because I freaking thought he was you! You’re not allergic to nuts, but he is! He could have died if you haven’t arrived on time!

-      Mianhe… Ahjin-ah. We should have told you. Please calm down. It’s my fault, ok? But he will be fine. –He said hugging her. Ahjin continued crying in Youngmin’s arms.

-      It’s…just… I’m afraid that something could happen to him. –She said sobbing.

-      He will be fine, trust me. –Youngmin said. –I will bring you something for drink. –He said and exited the room.

Ahjin sat down next to Kwangmin and held his hand.

-      Oppa, please wake up. I know you’re strong. Please wake up, oppa. I need you. –Ahjin said crying.

Kwangmin finally opened his eyes and saw Ahjin crying next to him.

-      Ahjin… please don’t cry. –He said with a weak voice. Ahjin raised her head and saw that Kwangmin was woken up.

-      Oppa! –She said smiling and hugged him tight.

-      Why were you crying babo? I’m fine. –He said hugging her back.

-      Yah! Kwangmin-ah! How couldn’t you tell me that you changed roles with your brother? –She said mad.

-      What? How do you know?

-      You’re allergic to the nuts and you have your birthmark on your forehead, remember?

-      So… now you know I’m Kwangmin and not Youngmin… -Kwangmin said looking down the floor.

-      Yeah… now I know. How couldn’t you tell me? We’re supposed to be best friends… and, also… it was weird that Youngmin would picked me for going out with him and that he worked so hard on the project. But… what I still don’t understand is… why did you do it?

-      Youngmin was the one of the idea because he likes Gyuwon noona. So, he stole my Pikachu’s Collection and threatened me that he would burn it. So I accepted.

-      Chhh… you and your stupid obsession with Pikachu. –Ahjin said rolling her eyes. But you should have told me. Do you know how worried I was when I knew that you have fainted because you ate nuts? I just freaked out. You know what? I still don’t get used to Kwangmin with blond hair.

-      Well, I can’t come back to my normal hair color until three months, that’s the deal I made with Youngmin.

-      Everything for your stupid Pikachu Collection. 

Kwangmin noticed that she was still holding his hand. “There’s another reason why I accepted this… but you will now it later” He thought.

-      Excuse me… Jo Youngmin? –The nurse said.

-      Neh… -Kwangmin said.

The nurse checked Kwangmin and said:

-      Mr. Jo Youngmin. You can go home now. Just don’t eat nuts again.

-      Gomawo… -Kwangmin said.

Youngmin took Ahjin home and then they went to their home. They both were alone in home, because their mom and dongsaeng went to visit their grandparents to Busan.

-      I was really worried Kwangmin. Don’t do that again. I know that you didn’t say anything because you wanted to keep our secret, but your health is first.

-      Neh… mianhe hyung. I will be careful next time. –Kwangmin said.

I’m so happy today because I didn’t have classes! :D
