2AM - Missing 

Chapter 28: Woomin’s death anniversary.

Youngmin went to Gyuwon’s house and started throwing pebbles on her bedroom’s window. Gyuwon heard a noise and went to the balcony. She saw Youngmin surprised.

-      Youngmin, why in the world are you throwing pebbles to my window? –She said upset.

-      Would you like to go on a date with me my princess? –He said kneeling and holding a red rose on his hand.

-      Chh, you’re crazy, right? You could have pressed the door bell. I’ll get ready and come down in a couple minutes. –She said laughing.

“He’s crazy” Gyuwon thought smiling. She got dressed and went down stairs and opened the door.

-      Hi! –Gyuwon said smiling.

-      Hi! –Youngmin said giving her the rose. –You look so beautiful tonight. –He said making her blush.

-      Thanks… you also look great tonight. –she said shyly. Youngmin hugged her.

-      I missed you so much. –Youngmin whispered in her ear.

-      I missed you too. –she said hugging him back.

-      Let’s go! –he said smiling and held her hand.

They walked to the park hand in hand and sat down on a bench. Gyuwon was smiling looking at the kids playing.

-      Noona, do you remember the first time we met in this park? –Youngmin asked her.

-      I remember I used to come here all the time when I was a child. I remember you but not very clearly, what I remember is that you used to be a good boy that helped everyone.

-      Yes, I was like that but since my dad left us my heart got cold. Have you heard about a guy named Woomin?

-      Uh… the guy that those bullies killed? –Gyuwon said frightened.

-      Yes. He was my best friend. He was very clumsy and dumb. Actually, he reminded me a little of Kwangmin. He always used to tell me that the social status wasn’t the most important in the life, that I should forgive my dad and see him again, and that I should be a good guy. I always used to protect him from bullies, because he was the only friend I had. In that time I was a lonely person and he was the only one that talked to me. But… one day… -he stopped and gulped. His eyes were full of tears. –he walked in to the wrong way. He got confused and went to their area. He got kicked by them and… -he sobbed –that guy C.A.P. throw him a chair with all his strength, but when I tried to stop the chair it was too late. It hit him on the head, he was in coma for two weeks, but he… died. Sometimes, I blame myself for haven’t been on time. If I had arrived on time and defended him…–Youngmin broke in tears and couldn’t stop crying. Gyuwon patted his back while he was crying on her shoulder.

-      I’m so sorry… -she said. “I didn’t know Youngmin was his friend” she thought.

-      That day I thought, why do I have to be a good person if I always get hurt? That’s why I became a bully after that. I just had two reasons for living: try to get your heart and protect Kwangmin from bullies, because I didn’t want him to be hurt. So, I thought that if I was a bully, everyone would be scared of me and no one would hurt Kwangmin. I was so afraid that something could happen to him, I had already lost my best friend and I didn’t want to lose my brother. But, when I knew you, I realized that when you are a good person, you’re happy, no matter what. You showed me to share, to have patience and to work together. Without you, I would still be the same cold hearted guy I used to be. You’re like an angel that God sent from the heaven to make me happy, to show me the real love. –Youngmin said still crying. Gyuwon removed his tears with her thumb.

-      You’re not a bad person. You’re just someone that needed hope. –She said smiling.

-      And you are that hope. –He said smiling.

-      Youngmin-ah… -Gyuwon said.

-      Neh? –he said wiping his tears.

“I can’t tell him, not now. I can’t tell him the guys that killed his best friend are out of jail, but I’m so afraid about this. What if they try to hurt Youngmin?”

-      I love you. –She said smiling.

-      I love you too. –He said placing her hair behind her ear.

Gyuwon leaned and gave him a peck on the lips. Then Youngmin smiled and kissed her sweetly.

-      This is how you’re supposed to kiss me. –he said.

-      Shut up. –she said rolling her eyes and pinched his cheeks very hard.

-      Yah! You’re going to pay for that! -he said and Gyuwon ran while he was chasing her.

-      Catch me if you can! –she screamed laughing. “Why do you run so fast?” Youngmin thought.

-      I got you. –Youngmin said and gave her a back hug, but he made her lose her balance and twisted her ankle.

-      Ouch! –Gyuwon exclaimed.

-      OMG! OMG! Gyuwon I’m so sorry. –Youngmin stood up and bowed like five times.

-      Stop bowing and help me babo! –Gyuwon said.

-      Mianhe. –Youngmin said and helped her to stand up. She tried to walk but she tripped again, fortunately, Youngmin held her and she didn’t fell again.

-      Are you sure you can walk? –Youngmin said worried.

-      Yes, my house is not far away, so I can walk.-she said holding the pain.

-      Even then, I’ll carry you. It’s my fault that you fell. –He said apologizing and carried her bridal style.

-      Yah! Youngmin! Put me down! –Gyuwon screamed.

-      Shh! don’t scream, people is going to think I’m kidnapping you or something. –Youngmin said.

-      But seriously, I can walk.

-      No, you can’t. And don’t tell me you’re not enjoying this because I know you are.

-      What?

-      Yes, you like this. You like being close to me. –He said smirking. But for his surprise, Gyuwon didn’t reply and rested her head on his chest. Youngmin smiled.

Gyuwon fell asleep on the way to her home. Youngmin greeted her mom and laid her on her bed.

-      Good night, Gyuwon. –He said and kissed her forehead.

The next morning, Kwangmin was in the hallway. Ahjin saw him and covered his eyes from the back.

-      Ahjin-ah? –Kwangmin said smiling.

-      Annyeong! She said waving her hands. – Did you see Youngmin and Gyuwon holding hands? They look so cute together! –She said excited.

-      I’m worried about Youngmin. –Kwangmin said.

-      Why? –Ahjin asked confused.

-      Because you know that C.A.P. is free now and probably he wants to take revenge. Youngmin was a little sad today because it’s Woomin’s death anniversary. He said he wants to visit his grave. We can’t leave him alone, so I’m coming with him after classes.

-      Oh… I see. Don’t worry everything is going to be fine. –Ahjin said.

-      It’s just that I don’t know why I have a bad feeling today. –Kwangmin said thinking.

-      Don’t be like that. Everything is going to be okay. –Ahjin said his hair.

-      Yeah, I guess I’m overreacting, right?

Youngmin and Kwangmin went to visit Woomin’s grave to the cemetery. Youngmin stopped in front of the grave and put the bucket of flowers on it.

-      Hi! How are you? I hope you’re fine. I can’t believe it already passed a year. I have missed you so much and I regret everyday because I never told you that you were the best friend I’ve ever had, but you knew it, right? You knew that, even when I insulted you, even when I was rude with you, you were very important for me. I’m so happy, because I’m Gyuwon’s boyfriend right now and I want to thank you because you were right, I didn’t need to act cool or to be popular to like her, I just needed to be just me. I love you bro, wherever you are right now, I want to thank you for everything, for being that clumsy nerd that was so brave for being friend of this lonely rude and cold hearted guy.

Tears started rolling through his eyes. Kwangmin was touched by his words. He never saw this side of Youngmin. He lost the only true friend he had.

Gyuwon stayed at school because she had Gymnastics class. She was worried about Youngmin. She went out the school, but suddenly a man dressed in black with a mask covered with a white towel. She tried to break his grasp, but she felt dizzy and her vision was blurred until she fainted.

Also, I don’t know why, but I really wanted to see Youngmin with red hair, I think he would look nice with red hair, don’t you think? Even then, I loved his new haircut xD
