Click! The door of the small studio creaked open. All eyes went to a figure who just stepped into the studio. She didn’t seem like the usual her; a bright one but tonight she was carrying a different aura around her. Perhaps, cold?

Hyesun stared at the seven males in front of her who seemed to be waiting for her coming. She walked towards Woohyun and plopped herself down on a stool next to him.

“Are you okay?” the sweet Woohyun asked.

“I’m okay,” she lazily answered.

“You don’t really seem so in my eyes,” Dongwoo noted.

“She’s obviously pissed right now and she is forced to come here judging from her expression,” Sungyeol said as his eyes went to the girl with a sharp stare.

“Why are you assuming so, Lee Sungyeol?” Hyesun wasn’t satisfied with his judgement on her.

“It must be upsetting for you that you can’t spend more times with L.Joe but you have to come here to see us, hmm?” L provoked the girl.

Hyesun shot the lad a glare that could tear his face into two if it was even possible, “What nonsense are you talking, Kim Myungsoo? If this is how you’re going to treat me, then maybe what you said is right. It would have been better if I spend my time with L.Joe instead of getting here and be treated this way,” she threw back at him.

L definitely didn’t like her comeback at him at all, “Are you that happy to be with him? What is he to you now? A lover?”

“Did you manage to make him fall for you already? Then break up with him instantly,” Hoya suggested.

“She probably doesn’t have the heart to break up with him that’s why she’s still sticking with him,” Sungyeol snorted. He didn’t even look at the girl because he was afraid if he might be yelling at Hyesun.

Hyesun was totally flustered with the situation that her face turned red in anger and she was literally holding her fists from swinging to anyone’s face.

Woohyun glanced at her and he realised she wasn’t fond of their assumptions, “Give the girl some space to explain,” he cleared as he put his arm on Hyesun’s shoulder and squeezed it; signing that he supported her.

“What’s there left to be explained when we all heard that L.Joe freak calling her as his girlfriend. How ironic of you not to break up with him yet,” Hoya shook his head.

“She’s probably has fell for him for real. If she’s not, why doesn’t she break up with him?” this time, L was burning hole on Sungyeol’s face with his eyes for saying that.

“Enough, guys! I’m sure our Hyesun has acceptable reasons on why she’s not breaking up with him yet. Your assumptions can cause big misunderstanding among us. Care to explain to us, Jin Hyesun?” as a leader, Sunggyu interjected politely as he gave Hyesun a chance to speak for herself.

Hyesun was thankful towards Sunggyu’s way of handling the situation as she looked at him with a small smile, “First of all, I just want you guys to stop assuming stuffs when you have no idea what’s going on actually. Let me make this clear; he hasn’t fell for me so there’s no boyfriend, girlfriend and break up terms. Even if I manage to get him fall for me, there’ll be no instant break up. I want to make it clean so it won’t arouse suspicions. And one last thing, me falling for him for real would be joke of the century,” she firmly stated.

“But then why would he say you’re his girlfriend—?” Dongwoo couldn’t finish his question as he tilted his head and rubbed his neck in puzzlement.

“That—I have no idea too. I’m not sure what his intention to do so but I think he’s just trying to make L jealous because he apologised to me last time for calling me as his girlfriend whenever there’s L around,” Hyesun explained but she couldn’t help but to think since she hadn’t thought about it deeply.

“I think that might be the case. But then again, why would he try to make L jealous by using our Hyesun? It’s not like L knows Hyesun; I mean in L.Joe’s perspective,” Sunggyu bit his lip; thinking hard.

After calculating in his mind, Woohyun smirked, “Work a little bit harder, Jeon Hyesun. That freak is about to fall for you.”

All eyes went to Woohyun, even the smallest pair of eyes, “What makes you assume so?” Sunggyu asked. He had a blank expression on his face.

Hoya tapped the leader’s shoulder, “My sincere advice; start to date and you’ll know,” he turned to look at the others, “I think Woohyun’s right. It’s a matter of time for him to confess.”

“It can’t be that easy,” Sungjong; who was keeping silence finally spoke.

Hyesun thought about it for awhile, “Maybe I should make the move first—”

“No way!” seven voices chorused.

Hyesun blinked her eyes at the males. It stunned her to see that and she couldn’t help but to laugh, “Be calm, guys. I won’t, alright? But I guess I’ll have to wait for long since I don’t think L.Joe’s the type to do such things with rush? He seems like he’s considering a lot before doing something and not to rush into things. Another thing, he isn’t experienced much in dating right? So how would he know if he’s falling for someone because he doesn’t look like— err what’s wrong?” she looked at the guys who were looking at her in bewilderment all of sudden.

“Are you studying L.Joe all this time instead of making him fall for you?” Sungyeol asked.

“I what? Well, of course I should observe him before making him fall for me so I would know what things can I do to attract him—no?” the girl looked at the boys with one raised eyebrow.

“I guess that’s a good thing,” Dongwoo laughed but abruptly stopped laughing when Infinite set their eyes on him as if he was a prey, “Err no?”

Hyesun stared at the ceiling of her room for a long time before heaving a sigh. After her meeting earlier with Infinite, L hadn’t talked to her even though she had given explanation about her current relationship with L.Joe. Usually, L would offer her a ride home but today he went out from the studio way earlier than anyone else. He didn’t even bother to look at her which bothered her a lot.

Feeling restless, she took her phone on the night stand and found herself dialling L’s number. She stared at the digits for a long time. Should I call him or not? Is he going to answer my call? Let’s just give it a try. She lightly pressed the green button before putting her phone on her ear. Seconds of waiting, the operator’s voice greeted her instead of L’s. She ended the call and decided to send him a text message.

What should I write to him? The girl thought as she went rolling in her bed for a few times before stopping and staring at her phone again. She put her fingers on the keyboard and typed words in.

Hey, are you mad at me? Let’s talk???

She pressed the send button and patiently waited for his reply which didn’t come even after nearly 30 minutes of waiting. She grew anxious but at the same time she couldn’t help but to feel upset. L usually replied her very quick that she didn’t feel the wait at all. But that night, minutes passed and there was no reply from L.

Just then, her phone rang. Feeling more glad than ever, she answered the call immediately, “Are you okay, L?!”

“L?” an unfamiliar but still recognisable voice was heard from the other line.

Hyesun gulped as she slowly looked at the screen. L.JOE. Oh my! “Err I mean L—Joe?” she purposely sang the L part.

A chuckle came out from L.Joe’s mouth, “You’re not sleeping yet? And I must say it amuse me to see you answering my call right after the first ring. Are you that excited to receive my call?”

Hyesun frowned at L.Joe’s question. Guys and their assumptions. “Nope and why ask the obvious? Let me be honest, I accidentally answered your call since I was scrolling on my phone,” she made up an excuse. It did sound reasonable oh well.

“Oh really? Then what’s with the are you okay question?” she could sense a smirk from his question.

Hyesun rolled her eyes unknowingly, “I’m asking you that because it’s strange to see you calling me so that’s why I ask if you’re actually okay? What’s with the sudden call? Do you want to confess your love towards me?” she bluntly joked.

Apparently the joke made L.Joe went into a complete silence which got the girl confuse for awhile before something clicked in her mind. That freak is about to fall for you; Woohyun was probably right about it.

“Hello? Are you getting ready to confess?” she teased when she still heard nothing from the other line.

L.Joe chuckled again, “I was about to but since you got me, I’m cancelling it. Maybe next time? Don’t be sad that you don’t get to hear my confession,” he played along.

Hyesun made a face at his sentence, “I’m far from sad, alright? Next time huh? I’ll patiently wait for the day,” the day where you would get dumped by me.

“I hope you’re anticipating it because it’d be big and you might not be able to contain your feels when the day comes,” he mused.

The lass could only roll her eyes, “Sure, boy. Stop talking nonsense, I think your mind needs rest. Go to sleep, L.Joe.”

“Not only mine, but yours too. Let’s get to sleep together, shall we?”

Unknowingly, a red blush crept onto Hyesun’s cheeks, “Thanks but no thanks.”

“Someone is being shy. Never mind then, maybe next time?”

“Stop with your maybe next time already! Get to sleep, L.Joe. I’m not sure either you’re sleepy or just high,” she nearly yelled on the phone but suppressed her voice.

“Girl, you just hurt me. It’s okay, I’ll go to sleep first. Make sure you sleep too, alright? I don’t want to sleep alone. Goodnight,” L.Joe said as his laughter remained before ending the call.

Hyesun couldn’t even get to reply him with any remarks which made she stare at her phone in disbelief, “This L.Joe guy. I’m sure he’s high right now. Why would he even call me in the midnight and say nonsense? That’s so unlike him,” she thought. Didn’t want to feel bothered by the unnecessary questions in her mind, she decided to sleep especially since her eyelids grew heavy and she couldn’t even open one of her eyes. Soon, she fell into a deep slumber.
