My smile faded away. I knew that this was going to happen. He had done it before. Giving me all those high hopes just to throw them away to the ground. I should’ve expected that, but I couldn’t help myself but to start sobbing. I remembered those words he spoke that pierced my heart. Why does Sunggyu always have to play with my feelings? I sobbed myself to sleep.

The next morning, I received another text from Sunggyu.

Oh right, I’ll be meeting him again tonight. I sighed.

I sighed again. I lay down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. If this happened 3 years ago, I would’ve been happy. But now, I’m not so sure. I should be hating on him right now because of what he did the last time. But everything felt so surreal. The him 3 years ago was different than the him now. Why is that? Was it because a fan confessed to him? Then you remembered.

"Because you're just a fan and you're fat. I don't like fat girls."

Was that it? Was he nice to me now because I’m not as fat as I was? Ah, so that’s why. I laughed inside. Why did I even like that kind of guy? A guy who only looks at people’s appearances. I am not going to fall for that kind of guy. I swore to myself. As I was deep my thoughts I didn’t realise that my phone was ringing. It was Hani.

“Why did you take such a long time to pick up your phone?” Hani asked feeling annoyed.

“Mian Hani-ya. I was thinking about stuff.”

“About what? Minjung-ah, you have to tell me!!” Hani was curious as usual.

“No I was thinking about how Kim Sunggyu is such a jerk.” I told her about my theories and that I’ll keep on meeting him for work.

“No, that can’t be true…” Hani didn’t believe what I said.

“It’s true, Hani. I’m definitely not going to fall in love with him again.” I was confident. “Oh by the way, why did you call me?”

“Okay, don’t forget to tell me what happens. Oh, right. I’m going to go on a date with Woohyun today!!” She sounded so happy.

“Yay that’s great!! Have fun and be careful of the paparazzi. Make sure you don’t get caught.”

“Don’t worry I won’t!! Call me again tonight!”

“Yeah I will. Go have fun! Bye.”

“Bye.” She hung up.

Hani hung up her phone. Woohyun was waiting for her while looking around for paparazzi.

“Let’s go, Woohyun-ah!” Hani told him.

“Ya! Don’t call me Woohyun in public. Just call me Oppa. I don’t want other people to notice.” He was being cautious when walking around with Hani.

“Arasseo, Oppa.” Hani smiled because Woohyun was so cute. He ruffled Hani’s hair. “By the way, Oppa, I have a question about Sunggyu Oppa.”

“What is it, Hani-ya?”

“Is Sunggyu Oppa mean in real life?” Hani can tell that Woohyun was surprised by the sudden question.

“Aniya, Hyung is not mean. He is really nice towards other people. He can’t stay mad for a long time.”

“Ah, geurae.” Hani was relieved.

“Oh right, how is Minjung-ssi?” Hani didn’t expect this question. They never really talked about the incident 3 years ago. Hani thought he had forgotten about the incident.

“She’s great. She became prettier now.” That’s all Hani said. They were both a bit awkward about this topic because Woohyun is Sunggyu’s best friend and Hani is Minjung’s best friend.

“That’s great to hear.” Woohyun sounded relieved. This time Hani decided that she would ask about Sunggyu for her best friend’s sake.

“Oppa, why did Sunggyu Oppa did that 3 years ago?” Hani knew from his expression that Woohyun wanted to avoid this question, but this time he didn’t.

“Actually, …..”

I'm really sorry if lately there are super short chapters but I am really writing and I hope that you guys aren't disappointed with what I wrote. The truth isn't going to come out just yet, it's still going to take some time as the story hasn't finished yet.
