Goodbye Zhen Pt. 2
Behind the Mask [Bangtan]The Na brothers and Jun Hyun slowly approached the group, not looking as happy as they could. Zhen hurried to their sides and smiled. “Thanks for coming.” She said lightly.
Jun Hyun nodded stiffly. “Of course.”
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Ha-Neul sighed.
Zhen looked to Ha Jae, who put a hand on her back and steered her away from the two. “First, they’re fighting, like always, and second, they’re really ticked off that they didn’t get a say in what we were doing for your last day.”
Zhen frowned. “Why does it matter?”
“Because they thought we could do something, just the three of us, like good old times, you know? I mean, I know Jun Hyun wasn’t around in the good old times, but he’s still from your past right?” He sighed. “It’s just them being uptight.”
“Zhen Ai!” Jungkook called, waving her over. “Are you guys hungry?” He asked, as she and the boys started towards him. Zhen turned to the others, who nodded, and Jungkook smiled. “There’s this great bar that Mallory’s uncle owns-”
“We know,” Ha-Neul sighed. “It’s called the Top Cloud.”
Jun Hyun held up a hand, as if he was inspecting his fingernails. “We go often. Chin-Hwa is a great cook.”
“And a dear friend.” Ha-Neul added.
Jungkook’s expression dropped. “Oh, alright well… we could go somewhere else if you prefer-”
“No, we don’t prefer.” Ha-Neul said, sighing again and shoving his hands in his pockets. He strode forward, swaggering right past Zhen and Jungkook as if they weren’t there to begin with.
Jun Hyun started after him. “We could really go for some of Chin-Hwa’s cooking.”
Ha Jae groaned. “Please ignore them. Please.”
Jungkook nodded. “I’m getting used to it,” He said, reaching for Zhen’s hand. He smirked. “Ready to go?” She nodded and he turned, tugging her with him as he walked after Jun Hyun and Ha-Neul, the dysfunctional couple.
