Interviews
Behind the Mask [Bangtan]After eating the food that Suga had brought, and sitting through a few awkward passes from Ha-Neul to Rap Monster, Mallory followed Suga out onto the terrace. He waited beside the door as she walked past him, and closed the door for her.
“So,” She sighed, crossing her arms over her chest and holding her upper arms. “What’s wrong?”
Suga raised an eyebrow. “We just have a few things we need to talk about.” He said simply.
For whatever reason, Mallory felt like she was in trouble. It was almost comical how guilty he could make her feel over absolutely nothing. She decided to play the suave card. Or well, the let’s-talk-about-something-else card. She released her arms and sauntered towards him. “I really like,” She started as she wound her arms around his neck and s her hands into his hair. “What you’ve done with your hair.”
She wasn’t lying. She liked the orangish color it had become post blood red for the Danger and War of Hormone video. She had to admit, he was at his cutest with orange hair. But he wasn’t falling for her compliments. “I think,” He started, unwinding her arms. “You’re trying to change the subject.” She frowned. “Am I ruining your fun?” He teased.
She sighed. “Yes,” Mallory started towards the snow covered bench and, after scooping the snow away, sat down. “But you want to talk, and there’s no stopping you now.”
He nodded. “I’ve got a lot to say.”
“Bad?”
“Not all of it.” He said, starting towards her and sitting next to her. “I need you to tell me the truth.” She nodded. “Do you want to be my girlfriend?” She nodded again. “Seriously, Mallory. Do you want to be in a serious relationship with me? That means absolutely no kissing other people, or wearing short skirts that show all of your back side when you’re out with other men-”
“Okay, that was before you and I were even a thought in the-”
“Mallory,” Suga started, his voice low and in a sort of warning tone. “Don’t you dare start with that again. If it wasn’t obvious to you when the Caleb crap started, then it’s not obvious even now, when I kiss you. You and I were pretty much a thing the moment I stayed at your place because you didn’t want to be alone.”
She smirked. “So we were in a relationship without my knowledge?”
Suga frowned. “Mallory, I know for a fact that you knew how I felt about you at the Palace, and that was why you kept avoiding me.”
In truth, Mallory knew he would fall for her the moment he laid eyes on her in the airport. Every always did. She wasn’t being vain when she thought this. There was no denying she was beautiful, and she could say with absolute confidence that she’d only ever been looked at because of her face and figure, not her intelligence or personality. It was one of the reasons she was so stand offish. She was just another toy to most people.
But, it seemed, she wasn’t a toy to Yoongi.
She sighed. “I know.”
“And you continued to do things that pretty much played with my head. Am I right?” She nodded again, looking down at her legs and biting her lip. Suga reached for her, lifting her chin so she was looking at him. “Don’t do that anymore, okay? It’s not okay that I get as angry as I do.” He leaned forward and kissed her lightly. “You’re mine now, and I don’t like to share.”
