The bell for the gate rang, and Cho Hee, who had been sitting on the floor finger painting with Leo, leapt up and ran towards the intercom, leaving Jungkook and Zhen sitting on the floor with the child, who’d already painted Jungkook’s face green and blue with finger paint. Leo claimed “Ugly boy looks less ugly” and therefore got away with it.

Zhen looked to Jungkook and smiled. “Give me just a moment, I’ve got to return him to his parents,” She said, climbing to her feet and grabbing Leo, who squirmed and giggled in her hands.

She held him tight, kissed his cheek, and moved to the door. She opened it and moved outside, waving to Leo’s parents as they moved up the walkway towards the house. Leo’s mother, Hara, looked up and smiled, and Zhen instantly felt a sense of home. Leo, and his parents Hara and Jun, had always made Zhen feel at home. They were there for her, just like Ha-Neul and Ha Jae were, when her parents died, and they’d never let her feel alone. Which was why she held them on such a high pedestal.

“Zhen Ai!” Hara said, pulling her and Leo into a hug, unbothered by the small blue fingerprints Leo left on her. “Oh it’s so good to see you again!” She said, kissing Zhen’s cheek.

Jun smiled and clamped a hand on Zhen’s shoulder. “You’re always getting more and more beautiful, Zhen Ai. Some day soon, we’re going to have to get a shot gun to watch over you.”

At this precise moment, Jungkook moved out of the house and stood beside Zhen. He offered a shy smile. “You must be Leo’s parents.”

“Leo!” Hara hissed. “That was not polite.”

Jungkook laughed. “It’s okay,” He said, looking to Leo. “He’s been calling me that for a while now.”

Hara shook her head. “I’m so sorry Jungkook, he knows better.” Both Zhen and Jungkook looked at her, surprised. “Oh, I’m so sorry, we’re fans.” She said, laughing. “I’m amazed he would call you that, since you are, after all, his favorite of the group.”

Jungkook smiled brilliantly. “Really?”

Jun nodded. “He tries to dance like you all the time.” He looked to Zhen. “I know Cho Hee works in your building but… what are you doing here, if you don't mind me asking?

Jungkook looked to Zhen. “Jun, please stop harassing my boyfriend.” Zhen said, rolling her eyes dramatically. Hara gasped, and Jun immediately laughed, so Jungkook offered an embarrassed, unsure laugh. “He’s been very kind to Leo.”
