The dorm was quiet that day, for the most part. When Jimin wasn’t trying to force his one sided love on Mallory’s dog Kirby, it was quiet, but he had been trying for the past half hour to get the small corgi to like him, which had shown no results thus far.

“Seriously Jiminnie, just leave the poor thing alone.” Suga groaned, leaning down to pick up the corgi.

Jimin lay in defeat on the floor. “If you’d stop coming and taking him away, maybe he’d like me.”

Suga shook his head. “No,” Jin agreed. “I think the dog would hate you even more.” The others laughed at this, but Jimin sighed and rolled onto his back. Jin stood from where he sat, fishing his phone from his pocket and starting towards the other room. It was nearing noon, and that meant that Suji would be off from her morning shift. He wanted to see her, especially after what had happened just the other day at her work. No one questioned him as he moved towards the bedroom, which was the only vacant place at the moment.

He pressed her number. It rang twice before Jin was answered with a groggy “Hello?”
 

“Suji? Did you just wake up?”

There was a yawn. “Yes, why?”

“I thought you had work.”

Suji was quiet for a moment. “I quit.” She said with a small sigh. “I gave my two week notice and my boss told me that it was okay, he understood, and he wouldn’t call me anyways, so I don’t have to come in for the rest of my hours.”

Jin bit the inside of his lip. Suji had needed that job. She was living on her own, and had been trying to scrape by by herself. “Why did you quit?”

“I didn’t agree with the way my boss took care of that fight the other day. That girl was provoked. They did that to her, not her just attacking for no reason. Anyways, that’s not why you called. What’s up?”

Jin smiled to himself. “I wanted to see if you were free after work, but you don’t have work.”

“Do you want to go get some lunch?”

Jin laughed. “Yes. Where can I meet you?”

Suji groaned, and let out a sigh before yawning her answer. “Do you want to just meet at the mall? We can go to the food court?”

Jin nodded, even though she couldn’t see it. “Yeah, that sounds good. So I’ll see you there in an hour?” Suji hummed and the two hung up, Jin grinning like an idiot before walking back out to where the others were. Jimin had started trying to force his love on Kirby again. The dog in question was trying to bury itself in Suga’s sweatshirt. “I’ve got to run out and pick up a few things. Do you guys need anything?” No one said anything, so Jin started towards the door to put on his shoes.

But the door opened and an upset looking Jungkook walked in, throwing down his school bag and kicking off his shoes. “What’s the matter?” Jin asked immediately. “It’s a half day. I thought you’d be happy to be out of school so quickly.”

Jungkook laughed, but it was an angry, annoyed sounding laugh. “I don’t want to talk about it.” He said, starting towards the kitchen.

V, who was just moving out of the kitchen, grabbed his friend’s arm. “Is it Jin Ae?” He asked, and Jungkook tore his arm from V’s grip. “Uhm, okay?”

Suga shook his head, lifting the corgi from his sweatshirt and handing it to Jimin, who was bit almost immediately. He started towards the kitchen. “Jungkookie, come here.” He said, turning to Jin, who still stood in the doorway, worried that he should stay instead of go to lunch with Suji. She would understand if he rescheduled. Suga shook his head. “I’ve got this under control. You can go ahead, Jin.” He said, turning towards the kitchen. “Jeon Jungkook, I said come here.”

Jin slid his feet into his shoes and hurried out of the dorm before any fighting could dampen his mood. He made a mental note to harass the details of what had happened out of one of the others later.

Mallory had just slipped her tweed gray dress, which hugged her figure tightly, when her phone rang. Quickly, she worked the zipper on the back up and grabbed her phone. The caller ID signaled that it was Yoongi. Her brow furrowed and she answered. “He isn’t acting up already is he?”
 

Suga laughed. “Well, the two of you are so similar that it would be possible, but no. I have a question is all.”

Mallory nodded and slipped her right foot into her black stiletto. “Shoot.”

There was a muffled shout from Suga’s side of the line. “Well, it seems a mystery Oppa appeared to pick up Jin Ae from school today.” Mallory’s eyes widened, and she nearly stumbled back as she put her other foot into her stiletto, which would have broken both of her heels, but Suga continued. “Apparently, she was super happy to see him, and hugged him a lot. And he brought her flowers.”

Mallory gasped. “No way! Jun Hyun is back in town?”

“Jun Hyun?” Suga asked.

“Let me go!” Mallory could hear Jungkook screeching.

She almost laughed. “What are you doing to that poor boy?”

Suga was silent for a moment, and Jungkook continued to yell, calling whoever was doing something a few rude names. “Well, he didn’t want us to call you looking for answers, because he said he didn’t want to make a big deal about any of it, but now we’re curious so…
