Jungkook had walked Zhen back to the Shin’s house and tried his hardest to keep her from continuing to freak out. It wasn’t exactly working, but she was thankful for his efforts. He stopped in front of the gates of the Shin house and pulled Zhen into a hug, kissing the top of her head. “You need to relax a little, Zhen Ai. Maybe if you stopped freaking out, you could think straight.”

She nodded against him. “You’re right. Maybe I left it back at the camp, though. Then what?”

“Then we go back and get it on another day.” He said, pulling away far enough to look at her eyes. “But we’ll find it, I promise.”

She nodded again. “Thank you,” She said, standing on her toes and pressing her lips to his. “For all of this. Searching the restaurant with me, and trying to keep me grounded, all of it. Thank you.”

He smirked. “Anything for my girlfriend.” He kissed her nose before really stepping back. “I’ll call you a little later, okay? But call me, if you find the necklace.” She nodded and he waved before hurrying away.

Leaving Zhen to stand beside the gate with her fingers pressed against her lips and her eyes wide. Anything for my girlfriend.

“Can you press that green button?” Mallory asked, nodding towards the screen in the center of the dashboard. Namjoon nodded and leaned forward, pressing his finger against the green button, which answered Mallory’s ringing phone. “Don’t say anything,” She hissed, just as the phone picked up. “Hello?”
 

“Mallory? Hey, it’s Cho Hee. I know it’s a little short notice, but would you mind swinging by the building for a little bit? I have a few things I need to talk to you about.”

Mallory’s eyes narrowed, and she looked to Rap Monster. “Sure thing. I have to drop of Rap Monster anyways, so I’ll be there in… five?”

“Perfect! In fact, bring him to my office with you.”

Rap Monster didn’t look happy about this. “Alright. I’ll see you in a bit,” Mallory said, leaning forward and pressing the end call button. “What’s that look for?”

Rap Monster shrugged. “Sounds like we’re in trouble.” He sighed. “And I thought we’d been so good about staying out of trouble lately.”

Jungkook stood awkwardly beside the couch in Cho Hee’s office. It was a large enough room, but since all the other members who were in the room; Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jin; were just as nervous as Jungkook, they stood huddled together around the couch. Suga, V and Jimin sat crammed together on the couch, as they were the first three to arrive, and Cho Hee had asked them to sit. Jin, J-Hope and Jungkook stood on either side, nervously awaiting for Cho Hee to speak.

She sat behind her desk in her high backed office chair with her eyes fixed on the boys and a knowing smirk playing her lips. “Well,” She said, raising an eyebrow. “Should we start without the others? It seems they’re taking a while.”

Just as she said this, the door opened and Rap Monster walked in with Mallory trailing close behind. Both were still wearing the same outfits they’d worn at the campsite; Mallory in a faded gray tee, a pair of jean overalls, and grey and white polka dotted rain boots, her previously neat fishtail braided hair showing a few curls tugging out from their place, most likely due to the rain. Rap Monster wore a pair of jean shorts that were rolled up at the end, just above his knees, with a grey oversized shirt, a black beanie and a pair of Timberland boots. Suga muttered something about their uncanny matching outfits, and Jimin elbowed him, which Suga returned before standing and moving to stand beside Jungkook, who shifted awkwardly.

“Sorry, there was a bit of traffic getting here,” Mallory said, grabbing Rap Monster’s arm and tugging him towards the couch, she pointed for him to sit, but he shook his head and gently pushed her into the seat, so she couldn’t protest, and stood beside Suga and Jungkook. 
 

Cho Hee smiled and stood. “Not a problem. We’re still waiting on one more person, but I’ll get started now, because I don’t want to take too much of your time.” She walked around her desk and sat on the front, scooting herself back and crossing her legs. “I brought it up at the cabin, but Zhen’s birthday is in a few days, and I really want to surprise her with something special, especially since it will not only be our first birthday with her, but hopefully our first birthday as her legal guardians.”

Jin smiled. “That’s great Cho Hee.”

She nodded and smiled back. “I wanted to make sure you guys were still interested in helping out.” Immediately, every nodded and said they would, except for Mallory, who sat quietly, her eyes locked on Cho Hee. “Mallory?” Cho Hee asked. “Is something wrong?”
 

Mallory looked down and bit her lip. “Are you sure you want to do that?” Cho Hee nodded and Mallory sighed. “I’ll be there to support her. That’s all though.”

Cho Hee gave her a suspicious look but nodded. “Alright then. I moved the decision day to tomorrow morning, and her party is that afternoon. So I need you guys to get a few things while we’re working out the contract details.”

Jungkook nodded. “Just tell us what you need. We’ll make sure everything is perfect.”
